There is a thread on about the A.I about no matter how much you do you cant knock them off there pre determined racing line. Well thats looks like you finally can.

Well, obviously it's never going to be up to your standards ;)

Apart from that, you seen anyone else do a decent lap like this on YouTube from Gamescom 2010 so far ?

My La Sarthe run is considerably better still, but we have to wait for that.

Your British accents were wierd, but that was a good race, the AI were quite decent with the slower cars.:) (I've seen them be pretty slow in Super GT cars).
Re: Famine's Fiat 500 race.

Found this video of someone who can actually drive, amazing how much better the game looks when someone knows what their doing !

I wouldn't have said he knows how to drive, but there are numerous things to be taken from that video.
1- Look at the ZR1 rocket at the start!:D
2- Shows how far GT5 physics have progressed from Prologue, particularly collision as we can now PIT people (thank goodness for private rooms!)
3- The AI is still pretty slow, they're much smarter but still slow drivers, because as good as an SLS AMG is, it's no ZR1/Enzo killer, just the same as an XKR being no Gallardo killer like we'll soon see in a video of Famine driving.

If replays are available following a race, could you please take a video of one or two?

I believe replays are not available in the demo, but I'll double check again!

Drifting with a rear wheel drive suited to drifting.

I suck really bad at drifting, but doing slides on N tyres and pro physics were a hell lot of fun and I managed to drift through a corner once. But I'm afraid I'm not that capable of doing/judging it. Sorry about that

As the camera dude was saying in the video in German - "Boring if one is in first place, isn't it?"

Sadly, most jump at hard-ish settings and loose touch of the field or do easier settings and destroy the competition.

Nice footage, but GT5 really shines if you make good use of the interior views, looking left to right, or are sandwitched between two other cars fighting for a position. It comes very much alive in these situations.

edit:

(2) is very, very true, though if you bump a car it's a bit toned down in the demo I feel. Light cars should be a bit more sensitive to bumping into heavy boats at speed. But they'll fine tune that I assume.

(3) I think he did it at easy AI settings - the AI brakes far too early, even on the straights leading to a corner some 15 minutes away. However they seem to try to find their line regardless and take some note of your position relative to theirs. They do slipstream you and defend on purpose (contra: being in the way by accident because they are glued to a predetermined racing line).

Have taken note of the requests this far, just shoot me a PM for anything left (can't promise but will try), I'll leave in 60 minutes from now.

That's ok, at least try to drift. I'm interested in the way the car behaves so even if you can't drift and keep spinning out that's fine. My bet would be to get the BMW M5 with N or equivalent tires. After looking at the car list for the demo, the M5 would be my choice for best "driftable" car.

Cheers

Don't know what level he is racing in, but he's using standard physics and has all aids on. If he's so bored he should have taken the challange with Pro mode, and all aids off!

He's clipping the grass and not spinning out - standard physics

I just woke up lol, ouch... Alright here I go, work time!

CoolColJ could you process all my sounds files then? That'd save me some time! I'll try to get a proper Y cable for next year for sure :)

I wonder how many people are waiting for your videos alba. No pressure or anything haha. Maybe when you finish the first one, upload that to youtube, while it's uploading you can work on the 2nd...etc.

I'd rather he just took his time and got everything all shiny and nice. Release it all in one job lot in a single post/new thread/news blog so everyone knows where to look :)

Let the guy wake up first and have a nice big breakfast. He obviously had a rough... euh... long night. All that hard labour the latest days, playing and filming GT5 all day. That must have been a real torture.

I'm just playing, I appreciate what you guys have done and I'm eager to see those videos. But take your time. :)

Quick question guys where is the HORN button on the G25 if there is any?Oh and interesting to see we might get to put Actual casual wearing human beings in our cars.

Okay so in the meantime while I'm doing all this, I'm gonna post some pictures I took...

Didn't find anything crazy on the XMB...

Photo Mode (a bit weird in this build, parts with no translations and we couldn't use it properly because the DFGT doesn't have an analog stick, should've taken my DS3 with me :P):

Just note, that he driver is on standard physics.
