The "ABC" settings also set the level of the AI, IIRC there was no dedicated menu option elsewhere. Yet, I hope
Now, I was never a big friend of all this "physics" talk, and I know that I'm probably the only GTP member feeling that way.
What I can say is that pro physics were beyond the point where they worked for me. GT5 doesn't do actual g-forces, so why bother when a real car is twice the fun at half the speed?
However, if it comes to the game making "sense", lost for better words here, PD surely did a hell of a job. Because all those puzzle pieces fell into place and I could see the consistency behind what I did and how the car on the screen reacted.
It's the most comprehensive game to date, because PD just about does every aspect with up-most care and attention to detail. They may have had to make sacrifices and trade-offs, but by doing so if anything they made the game better.
I just hate those invisible walls at top gear track. They should have put a concrete barrier or tires to do the trick
