WHA?! Where does GTPlanet say that?

Who is the creator of GTPlanet? Jordan. Where is he from? Kentucky (England? I think not).

The use of "obvious" is absolutely correct. TW10 IS IN STORES. Not for PAL though.

But the release list is PAL, so its still correct and not obviously "bupkis".
Would you mind pointing out exactly where in this quote PAL is indicated?
perhaps but they are not alphabetically nor chronologically sorted and the other "Coming Soon" titles all have a strong release date which is good news for GT5 (and hopefully they don't have FFXIII in the list!):

*Fight Night Round 4: 26 june
*Call of duty 6: november 10
*assassin's creed 2 L.E.: november 20
*fifa 10: october 2
*tiger woods 10: july 3
*dynasty warriors 6 empires: july 26
*GT5: november 27 :)
*assassin's creed 2 regular: november 20
*guitar hero platinum: june 26
*batman: august 28

i think this is good omen (or bad business trick). ;)

Why would I want to go click on some link is some other post to check the validity of the posted release dates as to what format they are for? Seriously.

Again, it's bupkis.

Dave, you missed the point by a reasonable margin.

The point was that the list of "Coming Soon" games was provided from a UK shop to an EU citizen. It's thus highly reasonable to assume that it's a list of games "Coming Soon" to PAL users - particularly as one of the games is, as you say, already out in the US. So the list is valid, despite your claim otherwise.

The dates were added by another user in an effort to demonstrate the variety of timeframes on the list - running from known release dates of 26th June through to 20th November - to show that GT5 could be expected to be within that approximate range. I don't think this is a valid point, especially as the theorised date of 27th November is already beyond that range along with any other potential date.

The TW10 releasedate isnt wrong just because he didnt mention PAL in his post though.
Thats why your "obvious" is so wrong.

EDIT: I post in slow-motion.

Who is the creator of GTPlanet? Jordan. Where is he from? Kentucky (England? I think not).

So if the creator is from anywhere but America, the site is only then considered international?
Whatever, I was just poking some fun, no personal attacks. The obviousness has just been explained.

Look, when I click on the button to see the most recent unread post and I see a list of games with one of the games I know for a fact is already in stores, my immediate reaction is "the list is BS and it's my duty to point out it's inaccuracy to help squash this nonsense of eTailers guessing a release date and stating it to be fact", not "oh this must be for Europe". See my point?

Sorry for the run-on sentence, but thoughts do not use punctuation ;)

What I do know is, this: we are all on pins and needles or circling like sharks as the waters are slowly being chummed. Just hoping for a large nugget of GT goodness to get us through the summer. It would help if PD would give us more online events for GT5P to try and keep us preoccupied.

ARRRGHGHGH! The awful metaphors are HURTING MY BRAIN!!!

On another note - I cannot believe we're up to 34 pages of this stuff. We haven't got a definite release date. We might soon, but this conjecture is both useless and annoying.

Thats the same as walking into a room mid-conversation, telling people how wrong they are and then defending being wrong by saying you only heard what they just said. Pointless, avoidable and unnecessary.
A general rule of thumb is to never respond to a post without first reading what its in response to or talking about. Otherwise...

The simple inclusion of "PAL" with that list would have said a lot. This back and forth bickering would have been...

It is ridiculous that TW10 is not out yet for the PAL region.

its pretty obvious when it will be released, 24h after forza 3. they let it be the definitive race game of e3 for a day so why not do the same on the shelves?

(desperately trying to get the subject away from the past few pages of nonsense)

Forgive me for saying:

1) The game is practically ready were told
2) Is a worldwide realese in similar time frame expected, like the PSP version and many other PS3 game releases?
3) October is GT PSP date (they always said GTPSP would be finished after GT5 development) so can we assume BOTH games are indeed almost final?
4) PSP - PS3 features supported, car unlocking etc points towards a close release of both platforms making more sense doesnt it?
5) Various sources have leaked/hinted at Nov-Dec 2009
6) Why would they release PSP version Oct 09 and PS3 in Q1 2010?
7) October-December release period would maximise hardware sales worldwide.
8) Has Sony got a listed AAA release title announced for PS3 in December yet?
9) History shows Demember to be their usual release timeframe for new titles.
10) People forget GT is Sonys biggest selling franchise and thus its likely they want to ensure this title which has to be their longest in development will be a major success for their home/mobile platforms.

Additionally perhaps something else has been part of the long delay all along but allowed the devs to expand GT5 in other ways. (PSN/XMB rumoured update facelift or "Home" Support/features?)

Good times are comming....

Perfectly said..

That seems to be a good summary of all we kind of know Mr Latte. I do believe everyone in Sony and PD are hoping for a pre-Christmas release but I do also think that a delay is highly likely which may push it back to February or March 2010, but hopefully not.

I've heard something about a ps3 3.00 firmware update coming before christmas this year. Maybe it will coincide with that. Doubt It though

March 2010 won't happen as that is GOW3's release date.

There are 31 days in March, they could release one at the beginning and one at the end. On average gamer's buy about 2 games a month, why not have them both be Sony games?

Where did you get that stat from, that means the average gamer buys 24 games a year, I do believe you are quite off with that statistic. Putting there two biggest games in the same month would just be stupid, when putting them a few months apart will result in many more sales of both.
