It will be released 30 night before 12 months pass, that's what Amar said a while ago.
Still the most reliable date so far to me...

So i guess around 4 months to go
 
Pondering for a release date just makes things worse. I just tell myself that it will be released someday, and find something else to do.

And that Rick James line is FTW!

That would be December. I'm surprised members have lost faith on amar, considering one of his prophecies became true. I stand to the right of amar. I trust him, as most moderators also do.

yes we all hope that it will be out in December that but that doesn't mean that there isn't a chance that the game was postponed. I read an article on gamespot.com where a lot of games are being held off there release date because of the worlds economy right now. The article was based on blizzard new Starcraft II: wings of liberty, But touch bases on some other big titles.( Gran Turismo 5 was not one of them) Though that doesn't mean it hasn't.

Well, prophecies aren't always a true thing. But Amar's words...they were great, as well as more than understandable.
 
Friend of mine went to Gamestop and Saturn here in Germany and they both said that GT5 will be released on Dec 14th. I usually dont trust them, but it looks like they are pretty confident, since my friend was able to preorder the game at Gamestop for 59.99 Euro.
 
I've had my preorder with Play for 2 months now. It doesn't make their release date (currently 4th December, but it'll change another 17 times) any more accurate than anywhere else.

You can't be serious. I'd personally never preorder games that haven't had a legitimate release date.
 
Hasn't cost me anything so... why not?

I just find it amusing to watch their release date change.

i think it is fair to speculate that we wont see GT5 untill the PS3 slim is out, because you hear nothing of GT PSP then all of a sudden theres a new PSP coming out then they give you videos of GT PSP running, which is more than we have had of GT5

Agree. Sony won't waste their flagship title on an older model console thats almost in runout. They will use a GT5 bundle to move and create a buzz for the new PS3 Slim, whenever that may appear. Xmas ? March ? who knows, but that GT5 Amazon date is almost certainly just a place filler.

Then again, as Famine will probably point out, the PS3 Slim itself is still just a rumour :sly:

Does anyone of you know whether release dates posted in OPM can be trusted?
Because I was reading my July issue and noticed it said "gran turismo 5 - dec 2009" which may be trusted since it is the OFFICIAL playstation magazine
 
Amazon had a release date for GT5P of like mid Feb. Funny really, once Sony announced what the date was, Amazon changed their date! Same thing here. Amazon is missing out on pre-orders, so they created a place holder date.
 
in the guiness gamer world record book 2008 it says the release date for gt5 would be spring 2008 lol

I trust him too. I read that post last night about the.. all the birds in the wind etc. hes pretty good, i trust him.

the day KY says the release date for real this thread will go off like nothing else (or many other threads being opened for the same reason) and there will be 1000 posts on that day alone.
 
I think we're gonna hear alot more about GT5 from the end of this month up til October and after then even more. Because theres the TGS, and the release of GTPSP.. so soon we will have something to get excited about.

I have feelings the official release date will be announced at TGS along with maybe another trailer and a few screen shots. Like i said though, things will start happening alot after TGS and after the release of GT PSP.

how does that work? From the info we know, we've been told they are just polishing it up, and that they could release it when they want (or when sony tell them to). And if licensing isn't ready how can you say the game is ready?
 
Days ago i bought the Portuguese Playstation magazine, and they say that The GT5 wont come out this year... :ouch:! Maybe its a trick... i hope:nervous:!
