Gran Turismo 6 coming to PS3

I'm finishing some late-night work here because I couldn't do it alright during the day.

DAMN HYPE. Then I dunno if I'll sleep or play something. Probably, sleep.

That's a smart thing to do, although all that work will make you tired. lol  I may go sleep as well, gotta wake up early to see what's up in the forum and updates from Jordan. :D

Hyped. 👍

I would get a class where the exam takes on the same day AND at the same time the Announcement happens. Story of my life really.

I'm excited for tomorrow. Been playing since GT1 and have put tons of hours into the franchise. Looking forward to the future of such a great franchise.

5:15 am here UK. Today is the big day :-) .
About time us GT fans had something to get excited about again. Lets hope inabout 12 hours from now we're still smiling.

Don't the festivities start in about 10 and the embargo is lifted in 12?

Just to add some more fuel to the fire over the whole console question:

Considering we've yet to see a single gameplay demonstration of any PS4 titles, what chance do you think there'd be that Sony would have the first (semi-)public hands-on preview for just one game, instead of the likely blitz that E3 will provide?

That's yet another reason I'm sticking to the PS3 side of things today... though I won't count out some sort of Vita crossplay, even if it's of no interest to me.

Lets see... This'll be going on at 8 A.M. Seattle time... Class starts at 7:50. I've got a break between classes 1 and 3 for 45 mins... Which is SUPPOSED to be used to work class work from other classes.... starting around 9:35 or so...

I think I know what I'll ACTUALLY be doing on this iPad...

Either then or at lunch...

It's interesting, something tells me that what is unveiled will be welcome. I think the jump in terms of features and content from GT5 to 6 will not be too dissimilar as the jump from GT3 to 4 as the GT series as always followed this pattern. Weather we have 1000 Premiums might be a push but I am sure what we have will be nice.

Wait... If my school blocks GTPlanet...

Then I won't be getting home till close to 5, and then I have to leave my house again at around 5:15-5:30 to go to a two-hour marching band practice...

Lets hope GTPlanet isn't blocked there...

Uhh... Didn't we see gameplay from Killzone 4...? And there's a gameplay trailer for Battlefield 4... DEFINITELY on new hardware. I actually can't recall if there was actual Drive Club gameplay or not...

But we HAVE seen gameplay from PS4 titles. Not extensive (except for BF4), but still gameplay nonetheless.

And gameplay using the new PS4 controllers too.

In any case, I doubt I'll care much for work tomorrow/today. Unfortunately, our gubmint facility blocks gaming stuff from any website, so I'll have to wait till I come home to get an eyeful of what many of you will get first glimpse of. Man, will I have a ton of posts to sift through...

I hope everyone has a stupendous day.

My bets are on GT6-PS3, crossplay with Vita (the rumors about a BIG title coming to Vita, and it really NEEDS it) then later, a PS4 version, improved or running on Gaikai then in 2015, a new full GT title for PS4.

Depending on the features it share with Vita, I'll consider buying one for sure.

You can follow the @GTPlanetNews Twitter feed. My son was in the hospital for 8 days, and they blocked GTP because its a "gaming" site which could be harmful to patients!!! Seriously? WTF!!! But yet Facebook and numerous wastes of time worked just fine. Fortunately, I had my phone and was not completely dependent on their wifi. Their IT department is run by morons!

D'oh, that's right. Well, letting folks get a hands-on experience is still a new thing, right? That part of my theory holds up :P

So long as they don't block Twitter (which I actually sort of expect), I believe Jordan will be using that as much as he can tomorrow, as well as any updates to the news page here.

What if the GT Academy winners perform their own "Race of Champions" with KTM cars today? And what if we get that car in GT Academy and a some kind of "Race of Champions"-challenge like the real event. Ahhhh, too far fetched.

Things to keep open during the event: GTPlanet (obviously) Twitter, PSBlog (I read that they will be updating live) and maybe Youtube ... anything else?

The hell? Seriously?

I was able to go to the site a lot when I was in the hospital with my dad.

MESSAGE: I am in PICU for a few days with our son. I'm trying to access a website on my iPad which you guys are blocking. The site is GTPlanet.net. It's a forum for sim racing and general video gaming enthusiasts. It would be nice if you'd unblock it.

Thanks,
Mr. Stalker

We use a third party internet filtering system to make recommendations on safe web use. Based on those recommendations some of the web sites are blocked in order to keep our network safe and prevent impact to the critical infrastructure that support patient care. The web site you are trying to access falls under this category and it is blocked due to that reason. We apologize for any inconvenience.

It's a message board for video game racing. The filter is giving a false flag. AT&T's filters used to filter out my email from @gtplanet.net until someone actually looked at the site. It's a forum for Playstation's racing franchise Gran Turismo.

There is nothing that could possibly impact patient care. Other than frustrating them because they couldn't access it. Check for yourself.

Never got a reply to the last part. I did forward it all to Jordan, he was floored!

I KNOW my school blocks ANY social media - FaceBook, Twitter, even the Instagram app's Internet usage is blocked by my school. I don't think they would've blocked GTPlanet, as I've seen other use a few different forums of various sorts. I doubt anyone in controlling the network would know about GTPlanet, as I think I may be the only one (out of close to 2,000 people) in my school who even knows about it...

!

Sounds like it's the 3rd party filtering system that got it wrong. On the other hand, as it's a hospital with sensitive data I can understand if they got a "better safe than sorry" attitude to the internet.
