Gran Turismo 6 coming to PS3

I checked Nismo Channel's YouTube video, & spychip now said "I expect it to be GT Academy based on GT6-engine. Full GT6 for PS3 in autumn and maybe end of next year a GT7P on PS4... Curious to hear details next week." & Nismo Channels response was "Good ears :)"

No :

Alright then mister smarty-closemined-pants, compare the level of reflection in the windows at those 2 points in the video (May need to watch the video again as the second part has a much better look at the windows.

I disagree. Song from GT1>GT3.

novcze, That tidbit is in-game or at least not real footage. I think PD has successfully blurred the lines between reality and graphics for you, although it's pretty obvious to me when comparing the two.

We can not afford the level of reflection from the windows, as they can vary for several reasons, time of day, position of the sun, clouds, light interior position of the camera ...
I think it's a picture of the GT6, but we can not be sure just what we saw.

Well the "Ghost car" do have a European number plate ?

-And it do say GT4 on the plate, so it must be somthing from that game.

What is that Korean SUpercar called? From GT4??

I hope you didn´t think of the Proto Motors (Later called "Oullim") Spirra 4.6 V8 ´04

It´s in GT5 as well; it´s definately not the one in the picture; the Spirra could barely be called a Supercar (IMO); there is no other Korean brand in GT4 that has anything any closer to being a Supercar than the Oullim Spirra though, still it´s far from a Supercar and even farther from the "Ghostcar" in the 15th Anv. Video.

Some pictures from pCARS which I think is not close to what GT5 already is and what possible GT6 could be IF it is on PS4.

Still this is all MAXED out...there is no more than what I put in the settings, photorealistic HDR, SMAA X2, all effects possible, at 1080p...etc. (My PC almost died, lol)

Do you really still think that the footage is in-game?

I think lighting and other stuff such as shaders and so on are way better in GT5 than pCARS. Textures are way exaggerated, and overall effects (in pCARS)... and as you can see you can tell the difference between something real (GT 15th anniversary footage) and the game. Also the models are not as accurate as it can be.

PD are Gods to make graphics we all know that but that footage is real. All the things that people think that are "effects", are just because of the HD cameras and sun reflections, lens effects (focus) and such.
The only CG there are the ghost cars.

Colours, the level of saturation and tons of realistic details are way too hard to reproduce on a 3D and real time image in motion.

Go and look at GT5 again...check SPA which is the best circuit in the game and compare it to that. (Of Course Nürburgring too)
Textures and minor details are more noticeable when something is not real.

Allthough, take a look at the backside photo of the Spirra S: http://www.autoblog.nl/archive/2008/04/26/spirra-s

Found Something!!!

Later image from video (Note the level of degrading on the white wall)

Also the level of reflection on the windows might need to be looked at.

Now try and say there isnt some form of CG imagery on there...

Clouds look different.

different angle, different reflections, different position of the Sun in different time of day ... shots around 0:04 have the Sun low above horizon (sunset) shining directly into windows and coloring everything into warmer colors ... maybe that's why it looks weird to some.

I don't want to wreck hype train here so believe what you want guys

No, it is not, that clouds are too realistic, their movement also, marks and debris on the road, imperfections on white pit wall, etc.

Apparently you have not seen screenshots from the pCARS thread here at GTP. The PS4 is using a PC architecture. Even the PS3 can have dynamic mud ruts in Motorstorm.

Since I want to put some "sanity" with this theme about what is realistic and what not, I made some shots in GT5 from SPA which sometimes yes it looks almost photorealistic but minor details tell you that this isn´t realistic...and while racing you don´t need such detail.

Check reflections, how shadows won´t pass through glass, edges, repetitive textures and so on.

It may look "realistic" but "real" is not the same.

A couple games were named to be on the PS4 and PS3 (Diablo III), so it's not out of the realm of possibility.

Assassin's Creed IV was announced, too. And they praise the new graphics and what it leverages for their game....

I think with the GT-announcement around the corner, it's time to re-discuss the trailers.

1. Acura NSX
http://youtu.be/dfRq4Cgt6jY

2. Corvette C7
http://youtu.be/KnZYwF_O894

What if this was GT6's engine and what if this was possible on PS3? Would be great although I believe, this is some alpha-build from PS4, not GT6 on PS3.

What do you think?

PS2 can run GT4 in 1080i so why this can't be possible :D But yeah, i think if it isn't real life, it is rendered in GT6 engine. Like other trailers.

PS: so weird... talk in english when we are both from slovakia :D

I know right :D I'seen you at ps3zone I guess... I'm gonna add you on PSN so we could play sometimes ;) hype train shoo shoooooo

And yes, GT4 was able to render in 1080i but only in arcade's time trial though I never tried it hm... But anyway, what does it have to do with GT6?

Wrong thread

Oh no he's in the right one. He said that the car under the blue cover is a Noble and the ghost car is the next gen Nissan. They were discussing it a page ago 👍

I really think GTA events utilizing the variations of Silverstone on PS3 running on the GT6 engine is plausible.

Granturismo on Facebook have been making a tribute to the older games ,Have done GT1 and GT2 now.

That made my afternoon, watching GT2 intro again and remembering the good old times. GT2 was so perfect in everything for that time. What a game it was!

Allthough, take a look at the backside photo of the Spirra S: http://www.autoblog.nl/archive/2008/04/26/spirra-s

Despite the Spirra S is a tiny bit closer to the undefined ghostcar it is not it. The photo in your link clearly shows three round/oval taillights while the ghostcar has two, very GT-R'ish ones. There are other parts that aren't matching. And this Spirra S has not have featured in a GT game as far as I know.

Nonetheless, the Spirra S is a pretty good looking car I haven't known before so thank you for that link :)

@Team THRT Drift

We are discussing content of a video that might give hints to GT6 and wether it would be PS3 or PS4 (that includes the blue covered car). Wich other thread would be better suited than this one?
