Gran Turismo 6 general Physics Discussion(as well as video)

How can we have a discussion of GT6 physics when we have no idea what changes, if any, were made from GT5 physics?

Well, new tire and suspension physics is a start on what changed from GT5 to GT6 physics-wise.

*facepalm* Just listen to Dr Slump and check the news page.
I looked through the headlines, which story was about fans getting their hands on a demo with GT6 physics?

Maybe we're expected to discuss the game second-hand? So and so says that this and that is improved? Kaz assures this and that will be addressed and improved?

My question remains... how can those of us who haven't had the opportunity to test the game have a discussion about the physics beyond what we hope they are?

This is the Silverstone event:

This video shows quite some differenece.

This is Jordans impression

Than there is also the posts of the GTP user that was at the event and actually played the demo as well (can't remember his name, it's very early here ;))

And the ING impression,

He has a point.
Not really

And it was, according to the official website (german), playable during the 24h Nürburgring race in the Ring Boulevard.

Exactly.

Until we get our collective hands on the demo in July, we are discussing other peoples discussion on physics. Nothing wrong with that, just as long as you don't take a particular statement/comment someone made regarding the physics as gospel.

A discussion involves questions. And those who have played it can provide answers. If you don't find it sufficient why post here?

We can analyze recorded footage of the gameplay. Read the OP.

It's all on page 1. But i may have this thread locked until we get our hands on the demo in july, because this thread will keep running into a hole otherwise.

That's my point. You want this thread to stay on topic, but nobody here can speak from experience at this time.

Oh come on, we can't speculate because we do not have any info yet? that's plain rubbish! Let's talk about what we saw in videos and some of some second hand demo experience. Otherwise we can just wait for it's release then PD talks about the physics in detail then there's no reason for this forum.

Let's go. I say based on the videos, GT6 physics is better than FM5, this is from a guy who loves linux and hates Micr*s*ft :). Kidding aside, I have driven a car in GT5 then driven the same car on the same track IRL, and gt5 seems to have it right. The driving feel is spot on.

Let's not do that. Otherwise two or three other physics threads will pop up. ;)

I'll go dig up the quotes of a number of people from GT Planet and other sources who have played the demo later on, but... I want to paint up some cars in that other game.

See, I played GT5 and felt that the driving feel was far from "spot on", but that's the inherit risk you take when listening to someone else's opinion rather than forming your own - people more often than not will hold a differing opinion to you.
