This race are with all Sierras(mine included) tuned to 641.47 PP. All other cars +/- 3PP.

Next race. Adjusted the tunes to all cars but the one I’m using(blue RS500).

A few cars pitted due to heavy damage. Other than that results always depend on so many factors: Track, Car tuning, Damage, Boost On/Off. I’m not sure how some of the faster drivers fair(I gather many stick to Sport Mode), but average drivers should be having competitive races.

Using my Trans Am grid, ran one race each at Watkins Glen and Road Atlanta. I used the Challenger for each.

Looking for a reasonable cheap by enjoyable car to set up single brand championship.
Any advise?

Thanks
Honda S660, Civic TC, MX-5 TC, Mazda RX-8. Fun and easy One Make starter cars. Just my opinion.

My personal favorites so far for single brand championships: the BMW M3 '89(doesn't really matter if the normal one or the evo-model) and even cheaper, the VW Golf Mk1

i use silvia s14 and make 16 nascar stock cars with nascar liveries althugh the ai is not great i have to make more of the races i use to watch the races dont like the driving

Unfortunatly we don't have acess to many of those cars...

How would you substitute the Holden Toranas, the Commodore, the Falcon and the other cars that don't appear in GT7 ?
For my TCM grids, I use the Mach1 for the XY Falcons and XA-XC Coupes(replica liveries for both). Camaro's for the Toranas(replica liveries).
For the Pacer, I use the Super Bee with the Tilley livery.
The IROC, I use the 964, as that's NA and has the duck tail rear spoiler.

TCM is a normal series I run. Just adding the E30. Also, adding the IROC again. Those cars used to run in a lower class, but left TCM to form their own stand alone series.

Edit: Toadd, I use the Shelby Gt350 as the Mustang Coupe.

THIS IS AWESOME :D

I started making my own group A series. Do you have car setups for these? Which tuning parts did you use for each car? Why did you widebodied Supra?
It wasn't wide body when it was racing:

I can post set ups in the tuning thread.
Widebodied the Supra just for in-game looks. Gives it a better stance than the stock body.

Just did my first custom race at Road Atlanta, 6 lapper with the Miata series I made months ago. The thumbnail for the AI cars showed their liveries but in the race a few were missing. And my car sounded like it had a nasty misfire under a certain rpm. 😂 The AI cars were good though, a bit slow through the chicane before the bridge but overall very competitive.

Bought five more Mach 1's, tuned four and left one stock,(waiting on a Coyote motor). I also bought one more Challenger,(waiting for a Hellcat motor).

That gives me a 19 car grid now: 5-Challengers, 5-Mach 1's, 5- Z-28's, 2-Corvettes, 2-Boss 429's.

I'll get a few more Corvettes, a few GTO's and maybe even a few Super Bees to mix things up a bit.

Would love to see your Bathurst grid currently! I want to compare it to mine!
Used the Corvettes as a few Holdens. The GTI as the Paul Morris Corolla FX16/GT. S13s in place of the DR30-R31. Alfa 155 for the Colin Bond Alfa 75.

Think I’ve got about 30 Sierras. Assigning cars to liveries. Learned from when I switching to replicate the years. Used to do that with the E30s.

Ran a 15-lapper at Road Atlanta with the Trans Am cars. Finally ran a full 20 car grid. Had the boost set to low. Won by 6 tenths.

I was using the Boss 429. In the last 5 or so laps, the second place car,(also in a Boss 429) would reel me in at the end of the last straight. I’d then pull away. Every so often, the second place car would try to pass me on the outside. I just held my line and he wound up putting two wheels off and had to slow down.

Awesome! How do you set the Alfa? The Gr4s have fuel tanks that last way longer than the road cars.

I am in the process of building my 90's group a class. Today I am in the Labbatts sierra coming last. My car is approx 60pp lower than the other cars. Tomorrow I will try driving better and if needed add another 20pp to my sierra to be around 630pp (the other cars are mostly around 670pp). I find this Atlanta track to be very fun, but the AI are too slow on a few of the corners. BTW my driving ability level is top 2000 in the last 2 time trials in sport mode to give an indication of the speed of me vs the AI.

If I tune the M2 and put racing tyres on it will the AI use the same tune and tyres (hard?) be used by the AI if I choose said car from my garage?

Yes. The problem is that you will most likely be faster than the AI with all settings the same. You really need to lower your PP level to make a good race. This would mean you would need a minimum of 2 cars in your garage that are M2's. One for the AI and one for your that has less PP. I could be wrong, but I believe that is the only way to achieve that result.

Thanks. I was thinking of tweaking my settings after I create the race. But that’s fine, I’ll probably buy half a grid for customizing liveries anyway.

PD needs to add quali and tyre/fuel settings for these races. Or at the very least make RM the default tyres. I hate RH tyres with a passion.

Also, why is the AI boosting when I have boost turned off? One lap they do a normal fast lap and the next they shave 6 seconds off that same lap.

I don’t have an answer for the boosting when Off. just did three races with Boost Strong. It’s as if it Boost Off. I passed cars too easy. Did a last race with normal Boost Weak and it competitive. One of the AI cars was a ringer. Started a couple cars behind me and when it caught up, dropped to second gear and left me in the dust.
