My GTO Series is off to a great start.

Is there any sign of the bugs in Custom Race being fixed? Things like what tyres cars are on respecting the garage settings, the rolling start interval fixed (not that this is particularly important, but an easy one to check if they've made any fixes...)

Improved payouts is nice though, the custom races can be really good fun (if they had Sophy it'd be mind blowing) even despite the odd hindrances with tyres and having to buy multiples of cars for liveries etc.

AGREED 💯 as i said on another thread all of this credit wont help me in the end with my mortgage and by now have enough money to buy in game what i need except the 20M cars....

what I want is not credit but a better driving experience

What if you haven’t done a lot of the CE? But are collector level 50?

It still gives you a generous payout. Probably more if you finish both. I'm like you. Collector lvl 50 but only 60% of CE complete.

Also unrelated, did PD adjust the CR AI skill level? I just did a race with my unrestricted street cars and had a SUBSTANTIALLY hard time getting up to even 8th place while usually I can get up to 3rd no problem. Maybe placebo effect going on because "big update"?

Well boys.. our patience hasn't been for nought. I just seen the update notes about payouts for custom races. I checked my own profile just to see for myself. I can't believe it. This is one of the biggest forward steps I think PD has done. Happy doesn't even explain how I'm feeling right now 🥲

All I want to do now is race my custom grids. Endurance races feel worth it now.

If only they fixed the throttle bug and allowed us to set the tyres and mandatory pit stops.

This game sometimes feels like a great sandbox filled with toys but you can’t play with them. Custom races and now Sophy AI case and point.

The bonus works like this:
Up to 200% for collector level (Level 50 = 200%)
Up to 200% for Circuit experience (All gold = Gold 100%)

For example if you are collector level 50 and have all gold on a certain circuit you get 200% + 200% = 400% bonus
Of you are collector level 50 and only have all bronze on a certain circuit then it’s 200% + 100% = 300% bonus (assumed the 100% here just for this example)

When doing a custom race with a grid full of custom styles and liveries, does anyone else find that sometimes it doesn't load the liveries properly for the back few cars on the grid?

Is there something that can be done to fix this? I tried waiting before starting the race to give it time to load them all, but no luck.

I am using an old saved custom race if that makes any difference, rather than adding the garage cars to the grid each time.

Thanks

635 at the moment. They get destroyed in the long straights but out brake the others so much it kind of balances out.

The others range from 650 - 683pp.

This is all I wanna do now.

I wanted to make DTM grid Aswell.

Do you have settings for each car somewhere? :)

I also wonder should I widebody all the cars for it or not? When I am looking at photos of real DTM from that era they seems not to have widebodies but I am not sure about it.

Some of my cars have widebodies and others don't. As long as pp is the same the AI will race them fairly equally. If you're going for purist realism then yeah, no widebodies. I went with whatever the livery required.

The individual cars vary except for the Alfas which are all strictly 635pp. The cossies have full aero kits to help them keep up and at 645pp. The M3s are engine swapped and sitting around 670-680pp. The Mercs are all around 650 - 660pp now.

Full weight reduction, racing brakes, pads, and turbos is where I'd start. From there you can balance with other parts and restrictors.

Change 1 lap, or other small settings and reload. Whenever I increase or decrease the race by a lap they load.

Happens sometimes to me as well. I restart the game and it gets fixed.

Great info! I will probably also add some nismo GTR's to grid :D Too bad we don't have Audi V8
