The sound got converted to mono in the video, that is the issue. Check the Deep Forest gameplay vid, everything is correct there.
Interesting, makes sense, i hope it's true and this is just the problem, but why the hell would they upload a presentation video with mono audio? Anyway, it doesn't invalidate what i said, quite the opposite, these fanboys don't know what they're talking about..

I brought up unstable FPS for the Deep Forest gameplay video and now I am going to do the same for this Daytona video. Is this what we can expect for GT7 on the PS5, or is the direct capture or upload bad in some way?

That Honda NSX looked like it was in Castrol livery.

I wonder if all the alternate liveries will be available in the game as separate colour schemes or different cars?
Even better, there's a livery editor in GT Auto! This way you'll be able to find cool replicas from people!

Which is fine but there's a reason they're not making Gran Turismo Sport 2. People like the single player stuff. Online is great, but unfortunately it's quite niche.

There is an advantage for you though. Even if you don't play with the AI, the more people buy the game for single player the more chance there is that some of them will discover the same passion you have for online. You'll have more people to race against if the single player is good than if the game just didn't include single player at all.

Even if you plan to never start a single player campaign, you should want it to be as good as possible to draw in those sweet nublets for you to crush.

People have been saying this for decades at this point.
The single player stuff is important and should be in and improved, Personally I will barely touch it, but I don`t think its Niche, I would say that offline player base made up mostly of the casual players, I think online and leagues players keep the game relevant.

Ambient occlusion is a mess sometimes. You cannot convince me this game isn't heavily compromised by PS4.

Sadly the poor AO was the first thing I noticed about this otherwise quite pretty footage.

I'm convinced the AI will be (again) the most disappointing part of GT7.
It's almost like PD struggle to even "adjust" it to be just a little better at all.

Weird it’s still not in the Gran Turismo TV channel.

Should be a good TT/Practice location to listen to cars like the Alfa 155 and other high pitch screamers.

I didn't say single player was niche, I said online was. It's just a fact that the vast majority of people that bought GT Sport simply didn't play online, and that was a game specifically designed around encouraging online play. 84% of players have 0 Sport Mode races. Only 5% have more than 20 races. That's niche.

It helps that 5% of 10+ million players is still a very respectable player base, but as a proportion of the overall population playing the game online players are a tiny minority. It makes sense to concentrate effort on the content that will appeal to the other 95%.

Honestly, PD better start showing some PS4 footage or comparisons in the coming weeks if they don't wanna get into a Cyberpunk 2077 kinda mess. It's depressing to see this game graphical potential being held back by a 9 year old hardware. I've already put my PS4 for sale in order to buy a PS5, I'm definitely not getting the PS4 version.

I dunno, they took a long time to show standard cars before the release of GT5, but they did show them. I expect that we'll see at least some PS4 footage before the game goes on sale, this won't be a Cyberpunk situation where the publisher intentionally withholds footage and the customers get a very nasty surprise.

I mean, realistically GT7 on PS4 is likely to look more or less like GTS. That's not going to be great when it's side by side with the PS5 version, but it's still not a terrible looking game in 2022.

Hey, at least the field aren’t spread 200m apart.

Anyway, looking forward to getting some laps in the Gr.4 Supra and Alfa 155, around the circuit. We’ll see if that DTM suspension makes the car lively over those bumps.

The feeling that GT7 is a "Director's Cut" or "Definitive Edition" version of GT Sport. The graphic leap and the content presented, preliminarily, give me that feeling. Of course, there will be future updates, maybe monthly, but the jump over GT Sport seems too low to me. I hope I'm wrong.
The fact that there is going to be dynamic time of day and weather, even though it's a cross-gen title, makes it seem a fairly large leap over GT sport to me.

After playing some gt sport again lately, I have to say the graphical upgrade is nice. But I think you have to see it in motion to actually appreciate it. It’s not the massive step we all hoped for, but I think there are tons of little things the give such a better total picture.

Look at the way it seems as though all shadows are crisp and apparent. With that I mean the shadows in the cockpit. It still bothers me (since gt5) that the shadows in GT are so jagged and moving around. Here it looks clean, sharp and correct.

Kinda, but we don't know how extensive it's going to be. All we know is that it's not going to be on all tracks. If it's only a few then it's not really that big a leap. Hopefully it's at least a majority of the tracks, and the remainder get it added through updates.

Graphical upgrade? As far as i can see it looks the same on my ps5 as it does on my ps5 pro,i dont know about the load times as i run gt sport from an external ssd. 👍

Maybe you dont have an eye for these type of things? And theres nothing wrong with that, just enjoy it :)

I notice everything from better textures, further draw distance/improved popin, higher quality shaders, improved poly count, animations in things like flags and wheels.. higher resolution godrays, shadow quality, reflection resolution and type of reflection.. to things like grass quantity lol.
I notice it all.

As someone that loves all the graphical mumbojumbo, i notice the smallest of changes.
You could call it a side interest to games, i love the technology behind it.

And i think you meant PS4/PS4 pro 😁

I think he was referring to the upgrade from Sport to 7.

Has it been confirmed we can set times for races? 🤔 And then have it play out in real time or accelerated time? Trying to find info on this, but nothing says it directly.

Fight me if you want, but why are people so worried about AI, when the real worries of the game should be that of the campaign structure (such as the championships/event list) and the car selection in Arcade Mode?
If I find racing the AI boring then it doesn't matter to me what any of the modes are like as they'll all feature chase the rabbit races which become stale very quickly.

Yes. It can be accelerated per Kaz's interview with GTplanet.

Dynamic time-of-day and weather simulation first appeared in Gran Turismo 5 but was notably absent in GT Sport. It makes a triumphant return in Gran Turismo 7 and was prominently featured in the latest trailer for the game, so we were interested in clarifying some of the details about it.

“The time and weather changes are continuous, in real time,” Yamauchi confirmed. “You can also set the time progression for a certain race to a multiple that you want. The weather simulation is being done on a very large scale; it’s a shame to just call it a ‘weather change feature’ because it really is a full-on weather simulation.

“Everything from the temperature, to the humidity, to the surface temperature of the track, to the cars passing over puddles to spray the water off the track. All those new things are implemented and calculated within the physi cs.”
