I suppose it could be skewed at an angle, if the trace elongates towards the left and shortens towards the right it could be SSR5, but it’s not obvious. In fact you could call that theory a bit of a stretch.

Background doesn't appear to be from any track that's been confirmed and shown already (At least none that immediately come to mind)

Traces very strongly look like Apricot Hill. I feel like when they show it, it won't be too far off of what we got in GT6 and at best it may get a touch up here or there like High Speed Ring did and not the big changes that Trail Mountain or Deep Forest got (Both being tracks that never were truly redesigned for the PS3 era like the other two).

I thought Apricot Hill has been known about for a while why are y'all acting like it's not?
Wel it hasn’t been officially confirmed yet despite the lines being there,

Still not sure what the bust stop chicane track is but I think the one at 0:28 might be Shanghai, mirror the image over and it might fit

Anyone remember this:

SSR5 was completely underwhelming in GT5 and PD seemed to know it because there were barely any events with it. No idea why they would bring it back.

The whole nostalgia thing is their rationale of what people want seemingly after the initial sales shock of GT Sport launching with a broken game economy, no offline and no tuning. More tracks are good, but the old tracks dont fit the kind of racing PD wants you to have in 2022, which is why they're changing the layouts.

I think is saint Croix

Apricot Hill and SSR5 both didn't appear in the GT Sport datamine, unlike every other confirmed track returning to GT7. If either of them come back it would be an anomaly.

The only way I can think of how Apricot Hill and SSR5 could exist is if they started development on GT7, not GT Sport, and therefore never appeared in the GT Sport code. That however would likely mean that development started later than the other tracks in the GT Sport datamine. This would make their decision to 'tease' Apricot Hill & SSR5 a bit strange since the likes of Grand Valley and Mid-Field among others in the datamine would be further along in development.

There's also the matter of how the track line teases for both Deep Forest and Daytona were not skewed, and formed a full track map image when put together. Those are also the only 2 tracks that PD later announced on their social media. You would think that they would do the same for at least Apricot Hill since the lines showing a resemblance to it originally were shown way before Daytona's.

I'd of course like to see Apricot Hill and SSR5 return, but due to these reasons I'm being very skeptical.

No, I'm implying he would have a much tougher time dismissing criticism of the AI by quipping about the fans mental well-being.

I'm also implying he will dodge the question on this basis
Kaz has specifically said that GT7 is so realistic that it’s tangible. That alone says enough of what he thinks about the game including the AI even though this is the one main criticism that most GTS players can all agree on. He’s obviously happy with where it’s at so why do we have reason to suspect things have improved. He said it has been improved but he didn’t say drastically which implied to me it was minor tweaks. The Deep Forest video gave us all hope as we watched that Mazda move up the ranks but then Daytona was a let down. Realistically it’s just going to be a minor tweak for GT7 and that’s it. At this point with what has been presented you shouldn’t be expecting anything more than that IMHO.

Edit: For the record I think the AI is terrible and should’ve been a massive focus for PD when developing the single player campaign.

Yeah but seeing him defend the AI on a Facebook comment then getting laughed at would be peak comedy

I think you are right, it's just for the replays. They will never sacrifice 60 fps gameplay.
They could absolutely choose to have a 30fps mode and a 60fps mode. Especially now that they're not primarily a competitive esports game. I think you forget that they've had just one game in the last decade that held a solid 60fps.
Could be a redesign of Special stage route 5.

I suggest that:

I mean, if you get to redraw parts of the course then it can be pretty much any track you want. When the only bit that matches up is a generic S bend, you don't have a particularly strong case.
