The tickets from GT5 have returned it seems.
I think that's pretty fair personally. Instead of getting a free car for the daily workout each day, you build up a spin over a week. That's actually a nice feature for those who don't play as often.

I'm assuming that's what the 7 stars mean at least. That's how I hope it works.

GT7 is what will bring me back into the Gran Turismo series, the online hangout of GT5 was my prime and glad to finally be back to be a part of an awesome community.

...did anyone else see that final replay of the X2019 race at High Speed Ring or am I just imagining things? That was one of the worst showcases of AI in a racing game ever. Last to first in about half a lap? Why would anyone put that in a launch event? No wonder every single other race was catch the rabbit, the AI is still as abysmal as it's always been. All of the other features look phenomenal but I'm scared the game will just end up feeling empty again after about a month, because there's no racing in it. Then again, that's how you know it'll be a classic Gran Turismo game.
I'd put money that was on the easiest difficulty possible - it was a much worse performance than we've seen them do even in Sport, and it makes sense they'd want to go out with the "charge to the front" - especially with Moon Over The Castle playing like over the top like that.

I think the options for customization in this game will be epic!

Pretty happy!
I think the musical stuff is just a thing you do once to see it and then never again. On the other hand, if the Driving Missions part that was mentioned is comparable to GT4's missions, it could feature in there too.

Judging by GT Sports post-launch support with cars and tracks I think we can have a lot of fun with this, over an extended period of time.

On the other hand, it'd be nice to see a bit more of the online part. But still, happy!

I'll also be upgrading from a wheelstand to a better rig, so I'll be ready for the release.
Luckily the release date is on a Friday - the weekend will be blocked for GT

If engine swaps are really in the game then that's huge. Because besides the weather simulation that was underwhelming overall.
It's in there to some extent at least, seeing that Porsche engine in the Beetle, but we'll have to wait and see if it's perhaps a feature limited to a select number of cars, or if it'll be widely available ala Forza Horizon.

Hope we will continue to be bombarded with information on the game in the last month up until release!

Repeating what I said elsewhere:

I have a feeling the actual racing will get old very quick to GTS players with:
  • Probably the same physics model
  • No tyre temperature
  • The same tuning config
  • Just 70? more cars and 5 more tracks
  • The same HUD
  • Still no damage model
  • Probably the same AI
  • Very similar sounds

Only saving grace in actual gameplay seems to be time and weather simulation. Oh, and the thumbs actually being where they should be on the wheel

Even if it's not the hardest difficulty, which I doubt, that still doesn't excuse it being in a showcase event like this. That race was cringeworthy. The fact that we're even discussing what difficulty it actually was,is bad enough. Instead of saying anything about the AI they showed us that... Which is a very bad sign. And keep in mind that the AI was bad in the rest of the footage as well, not to mention how the rest of the footage showed catch the rabbit races (which also says more than enough, really).

I'm more surprised about the fact that we didn't see ANY 3RD PERSON VIEW GAMEPLAY. Also the Zonda R still has the same awful sound from GT Sport.

I like most the tuning options & dynamic weather/time

Like more information on the custom grids, mist that in the presentation

Yeah really weird, they showed cockpit and hood cam for the gameplay segements in all there video's almost.

i dunno after watching that i feel like the ps4 version is going to be underwhelming…going to wait for the price drop or ps5 restocking

I can't tell if I'm more disappointed or satisfied ..
I'm happy for the dynamic weather that looks beautiful, the tuning looks great too, plus let's not forget the improved driving sensations thanks to the new PS5 controller!

But ... after playing a lot of GT Sport, finding myself the same cars and the same tracks with only very few new features disappoints me a lot, even if I know that over time these numbers will increase, but I'm disappointed all the same ..
And then when they talked about the sound, I expected progress with more realistic sounds, but even here in my opinion, the fact of being a cross gen game penalized it a lot!

We just have to wait to experience the sensations of driving pad in hand and test the AI.

Well, sounds like tracks won't have full 24h transitions except for the ones that have Enduros. Can't have everything I guess... it's fine though.
