On the car count debate. I personally would like racing liveries to be treated as color options like in PC & AC.

I love choosing multiple trim variations of certain cars as they can behave differently sometimes. I.E. A Mustang EcoBoost will drive nothing like a Shelby GT500. I'd say 3 trim levels per car would be a safe spot.

That's what I suggested in the GT7 Wish List thread.

If they offer a drop down menu dedicated to trim levels then it would solve a lot of the duplicate issues. It's a separate car in game files, but it's one specific car in a car list. This would shorten the list, visually, and organize the cars a lot more cleanly.

The trim level would default to the highest spec of any vehicle, and the user would be able to choose a lower trim if they so desire (assuming it's offered).

Liveries should be treated like factory paint colours. However with the livery editor, PD may not see the need for this.

It's my problem too for ridiculous numbers for other versions. But merely having big number of car count is different topic (it's not all about dupilcates or something). It's different to suggest removing almost entire car rosters to only "relevant" ones to only removing the other versions. Even then what they worked in PS3 onwards was Premiums and they aren't duplicates.

And no racing doesn't have only 1 liveries for each car, NASCAR isn't about all cars having exact same DuPont liveries. Super GT isn't about racing between 15 Castrol Tom's Supras.
Yea but it's not only limited to race cars fyi. i'm just citing the race cars as an example.

Still there are tons of same car models that have at least two versions wherein the only difference could be steering wheel configuration, trims/variants, engines and model years, etc.

In short, not a radical difference that one car could have between its generations.

Hopefully get announcement today (Potentially 4PM UK time, 8AM PST time) for next PS5 event potentially for sometime next week, maybe September 9th (NA PlayStation 25th Anniversary) or 10th as they have done events on Wednesday and Thursday before.

Editor-in-chief of Game Informer has seen the PS5 and they have exclusive story for their magazine next week for the game Kena: Bridge Of Spirits so looks like things will start to pick up quite soon.

PS4 Pro also was revealed at a similar time for a November release...

Where have you got that from exactly? Why would something be announced at 4pm today?

Maybe there won't even be a new event for the PS5.... So, I prefer to wait for an official announcement from Sony.

I have no idea what's Sony waiting at this point. It's not like most of their fanbase would flock to Xbox just because their console is a little bit expensive than their competition. They have the first party games to back it up ffs.

The apparent low number of consoles at launch could be why, going by the pre-order system they announced. No point spending millions on promotion and advertising if they know they're only going to have a small amount available to start with which will far outweigh demand. Could also be one reason not many big first party games will be launch titles, but rather gradually over the following 6 months as they increase production.

This become disgusting right now.

Who the hell cares about PS VR or PS4 third or indies games? -2 months...
A lot of people who have PS VR probably.

They are unlikely to leak PS5 stuff in a PS VR event, we are all waiting patiently for the next GT7 news and further news on the PS5, and it will come, but it's normal for a company to control the information like what we are seeing. It happens all the time, and then when they do release the next wave of information they will have our attention like wolves honing in on on a trapped deer.

Abit melodramatic.

Simple: People who are interested in them, Sony is bigger then just GT7. Maybe expecting news at every turn isn't the best thing to do, especially since we haven't been guaranteed any date for news.

The "Old" of GT is this:

Clear direction in GT1-4. GT5- GT Sport is too much of the rolling start, with such a large amount of cars.

As shown in the beginning of the video, PD even incorporated the wet skidpan. Just a challenge with an FD RX-7, but they get an A for effort.

We got the touge monster in the RE Amemiya FD. Maybe a "Present" aspect will actually be a touge course. If we look back at the Vegas drag strip and I'd say the Goodwood course, a 1-on-1 vs AI, could happen.

I feel that's what made those games really fun and good. Pretty much based on reality. The reality of Best Motoring, which I never knew about, until the year 2000.
PD can capture that nostalgia and move forward with a plethora of information. Drifting, cruising, real race series, car shows, car enthusiast videos.

So, Microsoft had unveiled prices....

Sony will be speak, finally ?
Microsoft has unveiled one price, for the cheaper, entry-level Series S console. The price for the Series X is still unknown beyond the same speculation and rumour we've had for about two years.

But then that has nothing to do with GT7, and this is a GT7 thread, not a PS5 thread and definitely not an Xbox thread or an Xbox Series S thread.

It's not Microsoft who officially announced it but we know the price of XSX: 499$.

It doesn't matter. I know it's not the thread but the fact that they reveal prices ... Sony will react. And maybe talk about games including GT7. That's why I'm talking about it.

And it does matter. This is a GT7 thread, for GT7. Not for things tenuously connected to things tenuously connected to things tenuously connected to GT7.

Even when Sony reveals the PS5's price, this won't be the thread for it. This is the thread for general discussion on GT7.

The entitlement is strong with this one.

While GT7 is a PS5 title (Shocker), still does not quite make this the "Complain about Sony not announcing the price yet" thread. Doubt its gonna affect game price much since as far as I'm aware, I still payed $59.99 for a brand new disc-based game for PS4 just like I did for the PS3.

I just realized something. I don't think there was a dot on the globe for Trial Mountain or SSRX, or at least one of the circuits that are said to be set on the west coast of the USA. I think that omission would further support the hypothesis that the footage in the reveal trailer was not necessarily from the final build, and as a result, more circuits could be in the final release. This is, of course, before we start speculating content that could be added in post-release updates, or even a day one update, like how I recall some cars were added in GT6's day one patch. At any rate, I do hope Indianapolis and its infield course return from the PS3 era.

Why do you think that? There was definitely a dot for Trial Mountain because... it was the track picked in the trailer!

That aside, every dot on the map corresponds to every track in GT Sport that is located in either real or fictional North America or Europe plus the two known new circuits of Trial Mountain and Daytona.

I don't think that anyone thinks that what we've seen in the trailer is all that we're getting.

Really? I thought it was missing one for the western USA. Must've been my imagination.

Seems sony have the tendency to placehold 2/3 months begore games release…, if this is the case it means GT7 could release this year still.
Amazing if all the games in that list release in the first 3 months after console release, the hype its real XD.

Art not final AKA we just got it off the internet. Pretty sure someone on here made that.

Also you say Amazon Australia but none of the games are on Amazon.com.au as far as I can see.
