Ah yes, the dumpster fire that is every numbered GT thread before the game's release.

So much unfounded hate on a game that's three weeks away...
It’s because people are too critical of everything these days, and want a product catered exclusively to their personal tastes and desires!

I can see flaws in the game, and there are a good number of cars and features I’d prefer, but it is what it is!

And FIFA 22 will be a glorified FIFA 21 expansion then?
Well...

yeah...

Fifa 22 is basically still fifa 17 but with updates and updated transfers/team sheets

On topic I hope I'm wrong but I think that AI in GT7 will be a bit better than GTS but still way far than what we want...I expect same 'catch the rabbit' races with you starting from 20th position and goal is to win a race and you have 5 laps to overtake 19 opponents.

Again, that's what I expect, hope I'm totally wrong

Because that's what is happening, definitely. Not like there's some very obvious problems that can, and should probably be fixed...but aren't.

There is a vast gulf of differences between a yearly sports title, and a title for a next gen platform (which it really isn't) that is from a developer who cranks out games at a 4 to 5 year development pace.

I guess someone else noticed that the roll bar on the 356 A Speedster is now gone.
Maybe it needs to be installed in GT Auto?

Yeah I'd say that's a safe bet to be an aftermarket part. Good to see that it'll be available on classics as well as contemporary cars.

guys any idea at what time they will announce the ai thing?
10 AM EST on 9th Feb. 20 ish minutes from now.

That DR/SR article also mentions a "Test Series" at launch for GT7, is this the first time we have heard of this?

Yes because this forum famously has zero negative comments.
Quote me saying it does!

GT Planet has always, always allowed both negative and positive views on all titles to be expressed. as long as the posts follow the AUP that has always been the case, and will always be the case.

The site is not an echo chamber, and those wishing for it to become one will remain disapointed.

Well, at least the people who keep saying that PD does not want to do better AI/ don't have enough people working on it can give it a rest lol. Looks like a GT8 feature or maybe in GT7 as some sort of experimental one. So almost 99% of people playing this game cannot even hope to beat the best Sophy variation, that is something I guess.

EDIT: nvm, confirmed update or GT7

But even if them or any other company do fix obvious problems, would it be better to still complain about what's lacking regarding the features even if those are good than giving them the props? So it'd be guaranteed more that they add the feature later.

Like complaining about not being able to paint windows/group decals on GTS livery editor.

The complaint for the yearly sports title being similar would still happen though, and that there are room of improvement of what can be accomplished even within a single year.

Based on that GT Sophy AI, if it were implemented in GT7, it's gonna make the game feel like Dark Souls, but in racing game form.
Only if your goal is too win each singleplayer race. This might actually make the singleplayer feel real online races one day as long as they don't require you to win the races, and have reasonable goals.

Do you actually think about what you type, or do you just sort of roll your face on the keyboard and hope for the best? This is what you were replying to.

They had limited resources on PS3. They chose not to spend them on AI. Just because they couldn't make TLOU2 level AI, doesn't mean that the TLOU1 AI couldn't have been better if they wanted to sacrifice other things.

I think you've heard some buzzwords that you think you can use as excuses for your pet developers. If Polyphony want to make good AI, they can if anyone can.
JAJAJAJAJAJAJA game developing is not math! You cant't do worst the resolution to magical improve AI.

"I'm unconvinced you have any idea what you're talking about"

"You disagree with me? So you are wrong" oh man, Im wasting my time
