Except the body itself is clearly based on a male driver and has been since GT4. One doesn't need to see the face to gather that much (Even if back then, it was so much more painfully obvious). Its not really ambiguous when the body shape itself is clearly based on a male.

I'd honestly be surprised if anyone could find a moment in which the game ever refers to the player as any specific gender.
Not saying I am right, but from what I remember: If your singleplayer nickname is 'Stephanie', the game will call you Stephanie while using gender-neutral pronouns. If your name is 'Steven', the game calls you Steven while using gender-neutral pronouns... all while back to what you said, we can't even see the face of our genderless driver. I think having a game that is genderless is the best way forward, and its basically what Gran Turismo already does.
What I DO think they should go fourth with, is to have a 'male suit' and 'female suit' options, and leave it at that. Other than that, the current way is the best.

I think he's well aware of this, and is probably milking the moment.
I'm struck by the fact that he doesn't actually seem like he's having a great time, but perseveres for hours nonetheless.
At the same time, I guess very few gamers actually look/sound excited, regardless of how many synapses are firing away in their brains 😅

I wouldn't mind a bit more personalisation when it comes to the figure in the overalls.

That's great news, I always thought that a lot of the fun of Simulation mode is the progression system. I find racing games that shove Ferrari's down your throat after ten minutes of playtime painfully boring

Seems like we jumped to conclusions too early with engine swaps. I'm still not sure why they surface the engine type on the tuning screen but maybe they just want us to learn more about the car?

The clue is they never said engine swaps were coming. Everyone expected something that hadn't actually been announced. They made a song and dance about widebody kits, you'd have thought they'd do the same for engine swaps.
Still, remains to be seen whether it was a placeholder engine type or if there is simply a version of the Beetle in the game that has it, in the form of race modification or something.

Nonsense. It's not an option at all. Please show me where it says that the avatars are for men only?
Have you ever seen a female racing driver with a helmet on? If they're at all distinguishable from a male racing driver it's only because of wider hips and maybe some slight padding on the chest. So what's the real option that's demanded here then? To be able to make the avatar wear a sports bra, and to make the avatar have relatively wide hips? What about men who have relatively wide hips? Or what about all the other body types that aren't represented in the game? Most professional female racing drivers (when wearing a helmet) resemble the Gran Turismo avatar more than a fat man would. Or a very tall (or short) man.
It's obviously meant to be a generic unisex avatar. It's clearly not meant to have a gender, it's clearly not meant to represent any specific body type. In the same way, it's impossible to tell what race or how old it's meant to be.

Guys, how do I download all the bonuses? I can only see the game listed for download, there’s no cars or any other stuff. I’ve got my GT7 avatars already though.
But that part of the sop was specifically showing off the upgrade system and clearly showed the upgraded car with a Porsche engine. They didn't make a song and dance about it but they didn't exactly hide it either.
Either people haven't unlocked it yet or its coming in an update. If it doesn't happen at all then that video was very misleading.
