Probably because it would mess up the GT Café if you got to sell/delete cars you've already collected. It doesn't seem like the GT Café lets you follow your own path, you have to follow the menu books. Can't follow the menu books if you're not collecting cars.
It’s not the collecting/getting that’s the the problem. It’s being forced to keep them (forever?) in ‘my’ garage (allegedly, tho it’ll feel like someone else’s...)

I wouldn’t mind keeping an undesirable car temporarily to collect whatever cars the ‘book’ is telling me to, but surely we should be free to sell when the book is done.

Edit: do we know yet what these cars we have to collect and keep actually are?

I did as well, last update for me was at 4:14am saying it arrived at "final delivery station". Nothing since. I think I'll have to wait until tomorrow.
Ordered on Amazon, had notification yesterday that (Royal Mail) 'Carrier picked up package'. Dropped through letter box just now. Amazon still saying 'Arriving Friday' :)

I meant that you're probably forced to keep them because of the forced collecting.

(Or will the garage have a ‘basement’ area we can dump cars and never have to see them again?)
I don't like the idea of being forced to keep cars at all, but I would settle for something like the Stockyard from GT6 (ideally one that doesn't take ages to load this time). That way we still have them, but don't have to see them.

What is with all the Jimmy beef? Whether you like his content or not, he's a streamer who also commentates for the GT eSports... Of course they'd give him an early copy.
I'm not beefing with him. Not quite sure why you come that conclusion. Just curious is all.

Cool cool - there's been a few others on here with similar posts, assumed you were on that train 👍

Don't watch a lot of his stuff personally, but it seems there's a few people who can't stand him and not sure why

I think we’re kinda defining ‘collecting’ differently. PD (and you, maybe) are meaning ‘get and keep hold of (forever?), and I’m meaning ‘get (possibly permanently but possibly not)’.

If this is supposed to be real-lifelike, the game should have the latter meaning - most collectors (of anything) rotate what they own, sell certain items to buy other/better ones, sell stuff when their tastes change. Nick Mason does it with his collection. The only type of collectors who hold on to everything are weirdo hoarders or museum curators.

If this is how it works in GT7, it shouldn’t be called a garage, it should be ‘the hoard’ or ‘the museum’ perhaps.

I have just got my copy (physical) and am installing/updating as we speak. I plan on streaming in the next few hours, do you know if there s still an embargo on that ? I d guess not since reviews started popping up yesterday, right?

No, but it wouldn't apply to you even if it was. The embargo would be for media with advance review copies; you're a private buyer.

In any case, the review embargo was yesterday, and outlets are allowed to start streaming today.

Short question:
I am gonna play GT7 on my PS4 with an controller...is there any better option for doing that than using the standard PS4 DualShock controller ?

Does anybody know the prices of Castrol Tom's Supra, Mazda RX Vision GT3 Concept, and the Porsche 917 Living Legend?
