Having the game start you 30 seconds behind the leader is a cheap way of making things difficult. Why not have better AI that actually races you? I want a race, not a parade.

There's races that do that. It's not what the "main" races in the game do sadly, but it's there.

I thought that all tracks where supposed to have dynamic skies, clouds would change over the course of a race, but it looks like "The World Touring Car 600" at Nurburgring has a static skybox similar to what we had with GT Sport.

This cloud formation was the same for each event, stayed the same to the end of the race

Alright, I finished the World Touring Car Championship 600 and the AMG Book. For the WTCC 600 though, I only got 3rd place to make it happen with my Honda Civic TC (the only actual Touring Car in the race).

For anyone in this forum that won the event, what is a good car & tune to win with? I would like to go back at some point and actually win that race.

I had no issues with the E92 M3 on Sport Softs. (Inters on Red Bull Ring because downpour)

I don't think so. No cars to win there, and the payouts felt low. For the one I had to do for the menu, Dragon Trail Gardens, I believe golding all the sectors but then getting silver on my only attempt at the full lap because I wanted to do something else got me 36000 or something like that. They're harder than in GT Sport imo, for worse reward.

The only things I've won that weren't the lowest possible credit payout was a camshaft for the '17 A110 on a 3-star ticket, and a Mazda RX-8 on today's 4-star. I've seen so many engines and other rare looking parts rotate away. Dunno how people online are ending up with interesting stuff so early.

Just doing a custom race on Nords, and I noticed when you get behind an AI car they will soon put their blinker on and move aside to let you past.

Surely they won‘t do this on other tracks?
It’s a nice touch anyway.

Anyone having issues with hangups sometimes when you just finish the race, before the animation of your driver raising his hand and getting a trophy? It happened to me 4 times already. What happens is you are booted back to the main menu and then you stare at a black screen fro like 30+ seconds AND the race you just completed is nullified, as if you never played it. I mean if its a 2 lap race, whatever, but imagine if its some hardcore grind for gold and it doesnt get counted. Basically it says the connection dropped but it only drops once on a million when you finish the race.

Yes, I've had this happen three times now. Once after winning a race, another time before a race, and a third time during a license test.

Im curios how it handles compared to Sport.. i found it very understeery.. orrrr, i was going too quick.

Did a bit of testing tonight. With the Mustang at 665pp (476hp / 3400lbs) it laps Daytona in the high 49's which would put us in the top 10 in qualifying for this year's Daytona 500. My fastest lap would have put me 4th in fact. Car is super stable, this could be fun with a whole field of cars...

Sheesh!!! This thing is fast! The speed sensation in GT7 is insane, I’m using wobble 2 camera and you talking about added immersion.. it’s like a poor man VR! The Grip levels are insane way better representation in GT7 vs GTS.. I had to leave TCS on though this thing is scary fast didn’t do so much of a time attack I’m not ready for that in this car.

My goal was to get it close to the current cars, which requires a bit less horsepower, but it worked.

That''s me done all the cafe stuff, just gotta finish the missions, my s licence and a few world circuit cup races....then maybe try and get gold on everything.....oh and do circuit experience. Hopefully by then the multi player will be sorted, I'm trying to stay open minded regarding the tuning in the daily races, if they have one race that's tuning or vary it every week with a bop race I'll be okay with that. i'm fine with maybe tuning car to my driving style but anything more im not so sure about

I'm extremely impressed with the weather/time, and 24 atmosphere options, but the time cycles are a bit of a disappointment.
I'd figured from the trailers that Tsukuba might have a 24 hour cycle, and a bunch of other tracks, but in my investigation so far, maybe only 15 of the 97 variants have late nights:

• The 6 Tokyo Expressway routes
• Spa
• Bathurst
• de la Sarthe (+ no chicane) ((I assume, not unlocked)
• Nurburgring 24h (but NOT regular Nordschleife or GP circuit for unknown reasons))
• Daytona Oval and Road
• Northern Isle
• Colorado Springs

It's bizarre and frustrating for such an immensely beautiful feature, I will say that the early night tracks are still very pretty too, stars over AUTOPOLIS etc.

The LaFerrari back in GT Sport felt very floaty and quite violent to drive at high speeds, so I suppose it won't be any different here.

Congrats! That’s on my wishlist as well. ☺️ In fact every car basically is. 😅 So far the only invites I got was for the Lambo Veneno and the Citroen VGT car. Bought both. Waiting for a new invite now, in the mean time I go shipping at the Legend and Used car dealers.

Man, I wish I lived in a world like Gran Turismo, where I could walk into a used car dealer and just see a Ferrari 458 Italia sitting there (only 27,000 miles, what a deal!)

I wasn't going to turn down getting my favorite modern Ferrari by a long shot, but it made doing the Euro championship much too easy. I should probably go back and do it the "correct" way with an FR car like they were probably expecting me to...
