Glaringly-obvious point, but if it's been discussed I missed it somehow:

The final 20% of the game's races that're missing ATM (based on Cafe-menu count) will yield the greatest credit rewards and most-difficult opponents; that's how GT's always rolled.

So, if you're hankering after a 20m car, might be best to wait 'til grinding's more-rewarding, both in a racing as well as "monetary" sense.

I did it, I finally finished the final championship and GT Cafe mode. Now, I'll focus on missions and grinding for the Porsche Carrera GT.

If a heavily tuned GR Yaris breaks out on the throttle or the breaks and my intuitive counter steering with controller just makes it worse until i completely fly of, should i
1. set controller sensibility higher
2. set controller sensibility lower
3. turn on the counter steer assist

Another thing to note about Jimmy Fallons gameplay, it listed 433 cars. I assume that's a promo game that allows the Hypercar Fest and Gr1 racing, I'd assumed that's 9 additional cars available whenever that content is available.

Sounds like it has the first DLC update attached to it, then.

Eh, I am a bit annoyed that it wasn't the Carrera GT, but then again; I was planning on collecting a Huayra eventually. This prize saved me from getting one of those.

and I recently got my 4th invitation to buy a car, now for a Lamborghini Veneno. If PD magically adds a seasonal event where the payout is at least 200,000 cr per win or something, I might consider saving for that. If not, then no.

What difference does it make? The problem is that you can catch the rabbit despite having all the odds against you.

The difference is how you play the game. Whether you catch the leader in the first lap or last lap. It’s about just playing the game.I don’t see the problem. We don't want to play catch up. It's quite simple. Yes in the most literal sense if a real race driver starts 4th and wants to win he has to "catch up" to the three cars ahead, but he can do that within seconds of the start and then spend the race battling with the cars. From start to finish. It's not the same as the GT catchup at all and I'm sure you know that.

We just want to race like real racing drivers. All on the grid at the start, and we go racing together.

That is never going to happen when you are always 30 seconds behind at the start, and all the AI cars are evenly spaced apart.

Yea they should make at least arcade mode where people can drive them! I agree with you big time!

Another great idea would be to have an option for online lobbies where you can select any car in the game. No upgrades allowed, but every tire compound is available.

Could be turned on/off by the host's discretion and cars that are being rented could have a symbol by them to indicate that, so the people who did actually do races etc. to get them through dealerships will still be able to show off.

Honestly it would make ownership that much better, Forza does something like this where you drive the cars but you don’t get CR for it. Sorta like renting.. or again let people drive them in free mode rent mode whatever.. maybe if I got to try one of the classics I would buy one… but normally I see that price and I’m like yeah ok 😂

But I have to wait for it to show up one day on the legendary dealership, hopefully on a day that I'm available to play otherwise the car's gone AND be hopeful that it won't cost a bazillion Cr which let's be honest, it will.

That would be solved by simply unlocking the content in arcade mode and letting us try it out.

You guys are spitting real facts right there. Really.

This is considering that the Arcade Modes (instant Arcade races, time trials and custom races) literally don't have any rental cars anymore under normal circumstances (except when offline or playing the split-screen mode, but is still unimpressive).

And this is why I have been suggesting time and time again that they make every car in the game as a rental car in these modes (all existing and new cars via DLC) in some way, shape and form, but without removing the ability to use cars from our Garage.

Having seen what it's like with the invitation system in Brand Central in order to buy hypercars, and the mechanics of the Used and Legendary car dealerships, implementing a similar system to GT4 would take such a long time (even longer, probably), having to wait days for a certain car to appear there in real time, just to buy it (in GT4, buying and obtaining cars at least once will permanently unlock them in the Arcade Modes - single race, time trial, split-screen - you get the idea).

An alternate option is to implement something similar to Forza's Free Play modes where every car is available in the Arcade Modes, besides the option to use cars from our Garage.

Spoiler: Pros

Like what was mentioned having all cars in the Arcade Modes opens up a lot of possibilities, such as:

• Limitless casual play for those who want to take a break from the main campaign
• Further options to choose AI cars in Custom Races, that is, if Polyphony further adds an option to do so, besides garage cars
• Ability to experiment with any car for fun, or for research, especially to try before buying them in the campaign mode (fun first, grind later)
• Players don't have to worry about performance degradation such as oil, engine and chassis durability

Spoiler: Cons/restrictions

If they implemented this in a similar vein to Forza where every car is available in the Arcade Modes right off the bat, they should apply restrictions to these cars, so as to keep it balanced as opposed to using cars from your Garage, such as:

• These cars cannot be customized and upgraded in any way; only car-specific default colors, variations and/or liveries can be used
• Default car-specific set-up tuning can only be performed, however all tires are available for use
• Credits and Daily Workout progress will not be earned driving Arcade rental cars

Highly unlikely. People have been raising their level gradually for a week now, nothing new has unlocked since anyone finished book 39. It'd make no sense to have multiple levels unlocking nothing and then suddenly more races unlock at even higher levels.

Someone already confirmed there was originally 50 books, so it's pretty obvious that content got cut and will be added back in future updates. Those races will be unlocked via menus 40-50.

It's 20 million. The 1.2 million is presumably your pre-order bonus which counts as "paid" credits. In their amazing wisdom you now have two credit balances - "free" and "paid". The former is limited to 20 million, paid is unlimited.

So if you want to grind and save up more than 20 million in anticipation of future expensive cars, you can't. You can only get to 20M "Free" credits, but go wild filling up with paid credits. They don't mind you doing that.

Most people are using Fishermans Rally with pepers. It is just one lap with one opponent and it gives you 65k or 97k with clean race bonus.
But... I actually hate it. I can't loose opponent too much, and he keeps hitting me so i can't get clean race bonus, and it requres me to use this awful offroad mode. So i actually prefet Group 4 Hight Speed ring, it is a little bit longer, much more fun, and easier to get clean race bonus.

Interesting cars that I've found from these 3 pictures:

Left-most - Cooper T53
Mid - Louis Rigoulot's Peugeot 3 hp
Right - Volkswagen Karmann Ghia

Really, this cafe's a go-to place for car enthusiasts if it were a reality. For sure, these cars won't be added to GT7. And do not forget the Ferrari 512S that won last year's Gran Turismo Award in the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance, which means that we could potentially get a 917K competitor in the future.

Finished all cafe missions, very enjoyable but should use more licenses (only a and b necessary), mission challenges and circuit experience. Also adding few more races with gr2 and gr1 would be a good idea.

I know its reported already but online lobbies is absolutely terrible. Cars jumping and sparking, the whole lobby shutting down after the host leaves, car settings changing even the player didn't change their settings to begin with and etc. I haven't had a problem with sport mode but lobbies are jacked up right now. They really need to fix the lag/jumping. Me and my older brother was at Daytona testing the tundra and Ford raptor and that lag was annoying. And its not on our part

This is absolutely a thing and it needs fixing yesterday. All I do online is track day stuff really but it's basically unplayable now. Constant issues of some kind. Did 10 laps of suffering on the ring yesterday and it crashed on every other lap.

It's challenging but doable. It took me about 20-25 goes but eventually got 4300ish for the gold.

Congrats! That’s on my wishlist as well. ☺️ In fact every car basically is. 😅 So far the only invites I got was for the Lambo Veneno and the Citroen VGT car. Bought both. Waiting for a new invite now, in the mean time I go shipping at the Legend and Used car dealers.

Interesting as that’s the 2 I had, I wonder if they are always issued in a set way?

Congrats on being able to afford both tho, I haven’t bought either 😭
