It must be hard to choose between releasing half a game and releasing a full game with a few tracks that have slightly more events than others.
You can always add more events for free even though they could have been in the game to begin with.

Glass half full, baby!

At first I kind of liked the casual nature of the race events that are basically glorified overtake events. But now, about 30 hours in, I’m really sick of still doing these. It’s baffling really when there’s obviously many authentic race elements in place. Why not tie something like this to the difficulty choice at the beginning of the game? So many things in this game are really challenging but just not the main events.

I'd finished the menus and all extra events a couple of days ago. I looked at the tracks in world circuits a few minutes ago, and suddenly I have a bunch of extra races available.
World touring car 600, 700, and 800
World rally challenge Gr.b
Anyone else have this happen?

Today, I got my Porsche Carrera GT finally. It makes mince meat out of the Porsche Cup, even when racing in the rain with sport hards on.

Normally you race those during the menus.. did you just buy many of the collection cars?

I know rally is a touchy subject since GTS, but since the update, it's a lot more bearable for me at least.

And the credit payout oppose to distance driven is pretty good.

If they made the opponent a ghost instead of an actual car, I'd almost have GT2 flashbacks.

I went to Daytona to beat a friends time in circuit experience, then when I I backed out afterwards I saw an extra event was there. After that I looked at other circuits and most circuits have 1 or 2 extra races for me now. Monza and Le mans finally have a world circuit race, for example.

Get that money! 💰 I use the Daytona race it 22.5k for about 2.17 minutes It’s not the craziest highest paying event but it’s easy money!

Now I'm not an expert on aerodynamics but could it be that the effect of the wind is way exaggerated? Because while grinding for money on SSRX I noticed that my car was going way faster going with the wind as opposed to going against it.

In the first half of the lap I was going against the wind. My speed had dropped down to 400 km/h at the end of the straight (and would've gone down even further, given a longer straight). And mind you, I had the added momentum from coming down the bridge.

As soon as I entered the back straight my speed quickly increased and topped out at 419 km/h just before the tunnel.

The car is a fully decked out Ford GT '06 with 793 BHP and the stock gearbox. Again, I'm not an expert on aerodynamics but it kinda feels........not right. It almost feels like it's going to introduce a whole host of new racing driver excuses.

"Hey Danny, why was your qualifying time so poor?"
"Well you see, I had a headwind."

I'm worried and curious at the same time as to where this is going to lead.

That's how wind works isn't it? Go faster when it's behind, slower when it's in front? 4.3m/s headwind, 20kmh drop over a significant open distance sounds about right to me.

I remember Destiny 1 being one of the first games to bring this discussion,Vanilla Destiny was a desert of content, and lore dumps outside the game.
Bit off topic, but expansion to expansion, some Destiny DLCs are worth it, some not so much.

Witch Queen and Forsaken are outstanding expansions that was well worth the £60-70, but on the other end Curse of Osiris and Warmind were massively "meh".

@Baka_Marimo that speed difference kinda checks out, headwinds and tailwinds can impact top speeds quite a bit. It also has an effect on the slipstream/draft too.

Of course the wind affects top speed, why wouldn’t it? And the faster you go the bigger difference it makes. I mean, I can feel a difference IRL just walking.

I agree. It's accurate. Wind even has an effect in foot races. The best times for the 100m almost always have wind from the rear and people aren't nearly as aerodynamic or fast as a supercar.

I'm not contesting the fact that the wind affects your speed, I'm questioning whether the degree of the impact is accurate. However it seems there's a general consensus that it is, so I'm going to roll with it.

I'm not an expert either but it sound pretty reasonable to me, sounds believable enough. Honestly I really dig this mechanic, it adds another layer to racing, although it needs to be removed from missions and qualifying IMO.

That's a little over three miles of wind there. Not sure if three miles is that noticeable but imagine top speeds with some twenty-forty mile and hour winds, lol.

And of course, my US customary system is showing. Just noticed the m/s. 10 mph D:

Adding wind to fuel saving equation will be funny.Did GTSport have this in the background?Or is it a first time feature in the franchise?

Ok... How do i suppose to get Ferrari Ivitation for buying LaFerrari if the only roulette I am getting is one star ones for daily milage? (i have completed all cafe menus... ) Is there any way for this?
Either through roulettes or the games simply gives you an invite at random.

New bug, maybe? added a fully customizable race transmission to the Ford GT Race car, it dropped the PP to 237 while keeping all the other specs,
unfortunately attempt to enter a race this on good luck, the car will go nowhere. Set the transmission back to normal everything fine, but no adjusting
gears for tracks like Le Mans.

Yeah it’s borked for now. Have to wait for update to fix this. In the meantime we’ll have to make do with the stock transmission.
