I’m on PS4 and to me the graphics are worse. They feel very cartoony.

I hate tuning so that’s probably on me. But I much prefer not having to tune a car to make it decent.

The car list is kinda pointless since you can’t get them. Instead of a daily workout car you get a 5,000 credit to maybe buy a racing muffler.
I'm on the PS4 aswell (I use a slim), but I really don't see how you're thinking the visuals are now cartoony? It really doesn't make sense to me, they look about the same as in GT Sport in my head with some improvements here and there. and I would know, I was playing GT Sport for the past couple weeks prior to GT7's launch.

The same with the A.I., I don't see how you can think they're better in GTS when it's the same old rabbit chasing. It was one of the biggest criticisms of GT League mode when it came back in that game. GT7 is about the same except for the A.I. in the higher chili races. I guess they're more idiotic in driving, but I haven't seen a difference in that. The A.I. were absolute morons in Sport as here in 7.

Just have to say that cafe missions were a great idea for gt7 and that kind of RPG-ness should be expanded,it separates gt from many other racing games while not hurting those who just want to race.
They should be harder and have grid starts tho,PD kinda got scared that new players would bounce off if cafe missions were hard that's why they made those pepper races.

I am not sure why I but I hate GT7 and that never happened before with GT. Maybe the trolling with microtransactions is so bad. I did one race today and earned 8000. It's not much but better than time trials. I don't want to play this game again. :D
My biggest issue with GT7 is the way in which many things have become so cumbersome (myriad of button presses) and theatrical (silly old-fashioned things GT Sport coped fine without). I like the added complexity of being able to install tuning parts though, as in the old days. Café campaign felt like a long yet unfinished tutorial. Essential quality of life options from GT Sport have disappeared, which sucks. And like you said, there’s almost nothing to do in GT7 when it comes to earning a decent amount credits in a reasonable timespan. The physics, while making an honest attempt at improving, now exhibit behaviors that now feel too pronounced compared to reality. The new weather and time systems make the graphics look lifeless compared to GT Sport, and I’m not sure it’s worth it when sessions for unknown reasons are still limited to a few time/weather presets. Sounds have been refined for the better, but it’s a minor positive against all the headaches.

Now you are just trolling man...
Why me? PD trolls hard now. GT7 is just scam to me. They tell you about 400 cars but they don't tell you you need to buy it with another money. What should I do in the game for now if nothing earns money and I have about 20 % of cars? Funny thing is if I had money, the cars are still inaccessible. So who is trolling?

Enjoying the game so far. My only gripe is a weird bug I haven't been able to replicate.

Bought a Delorean day one, never got around to tuning it. Decided to install some tires and some exhaust/air filter mods, and for some reason, it doesn't save. I can install them in the race settings before said race, but they don't register in the garage, as in, the PP never updates.

It does register on permanent mods like weight reduction, bore up, etc.

Bought the F40 just to see if I could replicate it, and it only borked my Delorean. D:<

I have the same issue with my Ford GT ‘06. Car setting changes don’t save.

I agree, the cafe is a fresh alternative to the typical GT League stuff we got beforehand. It's just a shame they deliberately cut it short and like you said, made the races all rolling starts.

You don't need to buy it with money. It's optional. Yes it's constantly there as a reminder that you can but you don't have to.

Plenty of ways to earn money in the game. Would be nice to have more events though.

There are 400+ cars.
You don't need to buy them with cash.
Race more and buy more cars if that's what you want to do.
Gotta be patient my friend. They'll show up in the UCD or Hagartys. You would've gated GT5. Had to wait for a car with less hp than when new and no interior... God forbid you missed it in the UCD and had to wait weeks if not over a month irl in the hopes it'd show up again.
I guess I'm just use to it.

I personally have collected most of the FF Hondas and am getting them ready for Drag Racing online. I costs over 300k a car. I'm also constantly checking the UCD for more Hondas while I grind the race at HSR. Pays 97k for 6 minutes. There's a reason Famine makes these guides every game.

Anywho, have fun complaining. I'll be enjoying the game.

Edit: Does anyone know if any Honda Accords are in the game?

The graphics have a weird shine/vibrance to them. It’s hard to explain exactly but GTS looked more realistic to me.

Yes the stupid chase the rabbit events suck. In both GTS and GT7.

The online sport races are far superior in GTS.

I’m sorry but spending over $100k to tune a car that wins $5k in credits is not a realistic way to build a garage of cars.
Stop doing the little kids events and play with the big boys. I just told Johnnnnnnnn how to make almost 100k every 7 minutes and the race at Fisherman's Ranch pays even more...

Yeah, it sounds like it, because once again; I haven't a clue on what your on about. Are you talking about sun glare? The lighting in general? or what? Because once again, I don't notice anything like that. If anything, I thought the lighting has gotten better, even on PS4.

Okay, you're talking about Sport mode. That I can't discuss with, I haven't played it. I don't like racing online much, mainly because I don't like people.

But I don't care about dumb earning. I want to race properly and enjoy it. AI should have numbers for performance (70 to 120). I need info about AI cars in the race. Best laps, etc. I need to build champs with great earning or at least single races. Last custom race gave me 8000 and Jag is for 12 000 000.

What about Le Mans? The most expensive track is without any races? Most games can't even buy this track.

Guys, some of the critics comments may get repetitive, but they do have a point about some things. I really don't think we should have to grind the same few events so often to buy cars we want or modify them. Either lower the price of the cars or raise the payouts for more of the events including custom races.

Polyphony also shouldn't have scrapped the extra events they had planned for this game or held them back for future updates. That's just bad implementation of features.

---
Just ignore them if you get tired of it, buuuuuttt maybe if they're repeated enough; then improvements will be made.

Though I say that, I also think it's a big "IIIIFFF" on whether PD will listen or not.

It’s a fact of the game….

Tuning is crazy expensive. Every part and upgrade drains your balance.

Then the races pay like crap. So you get grind the same race over and over to buy a new car and drop another $50k on parts. Dumb.
Tuning costs about the same as it has done in every Gran Turismo, the early races pay little, majority pay plenty with a clean race bonus and there's a decent grind race if you want to go that way too.

Also, you don't have to upgrade every car you buy, and yes, buying stuff drains your balance, that's how it works.

As I've repeated, I accept and am an active critic of the lack of events, however, there are plenty of ways to race and earn decent money for cars. I get the impression this is your first mainline Gran Turismo game.

I have played every gran turismo since day 1. Thanks.

I bought a ps2 for GT3. I bought a ps3 for GT5. I remember having a blast in the Sunday cup with close races in my Miata. I have experienced nothing like that in GT7 yet.

GT6 sucked. I played that for like 2 days. I had pretty much given up on the series. Then GTS came out and it was solid and fun again. So I was hoping GT7 would carry on that improved experience. But sadly it’s been a major disappointment for the series once again.

At least the early titles had qualifying and grid starts. At least in GTS you have competitive online races. In GT7 you have neither.

Good, so you're aware that grinding cash for cars is just part and parcel of the experience given that it's something that has existed in every game. Each game has had its "grinding event" nothing new, the main difference being there seems less point in actually buying cars in GT7 at the moment due to the aforementioned lack of overall events.

I've had quite a few close, good races personally, it's been enjoyable, but too short compared to previous iterations. It's a shame you haven't found the same enjoyment as others have.

You must've not bought Sport when it first came out... It was online focused with not as many single player events. They added more over time.
GT5 and 6 were kinda the same in the respect of adding things over time.
Hell in 5, SSRX and the Speed Testing weren't even in the game till half way through its life.

Game companies release half the game and give you more in "future updates". This isn't anything new to GT or gaming in general.

GTS was empty at launch compared to this game.
It was but remember that it was focussed on the online stuff. It's a tough comparison because it was never intended to be GT7, hence it wasn't called that. And it did get the GT League within a few months of launch.

The comparison should be to GT6, which was vast at launch by comparison.

And there is plenty of good online racing in 7. These guys are just trolling now.
I actually had a good race last night with randoms.. But the online mode is wayyyyyy behind GTS like I mean wayyy behind.. All you can do is be patient.. I’m sure PD know how bad the online is… My problem is I don’t want to drive in GTS it’s to dull compared to 7.

@MagpieRacer also take in consideration GT6 was just a buffed up GT5…

I haven’t got around to MP yet. But there are still GR3/GR4 BOP races in the multiplayer lobbies and that’s where I spent most of my time in GTS.

It’s just a matter of time before this is back in sport mode, I’m sure the usual suspects will complain that it’s too similar to GTS though.

Well, I know another thing about GT7, it's making use of the Gr.B Rally Cars from GT Sport better than GT Sport ever did. There's actually more than just a couple of races where you use them and even ones with tire wear. I don't recall using my Gr.B Ford Focus nearly as much as in this game.
