I would personally send the list to both Kaz's socials and the official GT socials. Highly unlikely that anyone at PD will see it, but it might just get a whole lot of other people to see it...
the official accounts wont RT it so it wont get any eyeballs.

no, but if a screenshot of the list is the top response for their tweet (they just tweeted this morning, if someone responded with that it could possibly get more likes than the original post), that will raise some internal flag. the fact that its the top post on the subreddit (i even logged in to upvote it) means it could get traction elsewhere. seeing how twitter is their main way of communicating when things are going on in the game, they're probably sensitive to how people interact with the account.

The post on the subreddit was also me, lol

I don't feel really incentivized to tune/customize many of the cars - despite all the massive amount of options we have overall - because I feel that it's mostly for the benefit of the singleplayer and lobbies for the moment, the latter of which has extremely limited options. So maybe I'll still buy some spares of some cars, but otherwise just leave them sitting until a given regulation calls for customizing/tuning it.

I think I've successfully gathered (almost) every single complaint that the community has about GT7, as well as some of my personal complaints, questions and suggestions. A lot of these may sound like complaining for the sake of complaining, but I genuinely want this game to succeed, no matter how much it may irritate me. So here goes:

  • Chase-the-rabbit races instead of standing starts
  • Missing Jimmy Fallon events
  • Missing restricted events from old games (GT League)
  • No menu books 40-50 for Gr. 2 and Gr. 1 events and championships
  • No use for licenses past National A
  • No purpose for Collector Levels (give roulette tickets each level)
  • No use for the Cafe post-game (add weekly challenge menus)
  • Only 4 viable grinding events
  • Atrocious rewards for custom races and online events
  • 5k mission rewards for 30 minute endurances
  • Bugged AI for Human Comedy events that makes it harder on Easy
  • No silver rewards for... anything
  • No Music Rally rewards
  • No global leaderboards for missions, licenses and circuit experiences (even The Crew 2 has this)
  • No best lap ghosts
  • No data logger
  • Sarah telling you to "take a deep breath" every time you fail
  • Cursor hovering over "exit" instead of "retry" when you don't get a best time
  • Cursor hovering over "don't refuel" after selecting tyres in a pit stop
  • No indication for when a clean race bonus is lost
  • Roulettes have low rewards and are predetermined
  • No way to earn roulettes post-game other than daily workouts
  • No roulettes for specific types of rewards (car, tuning part, etc.)
  • No birthday ticket
  • No gifting cars or tuning parts
  • Can't buy tuning parts from the settings menu
  • Many tuning parts are locked behind roulettes
  • Tuning parts from roulettes only apply to one car
  • Engine swaps only work for one or two cars per engine
  • Lower HP ceiling than Sport for many cars (might be to do with locked upgrades)
  • No power boost from an oil change
  • No Racing: Super Soft tyres (these were in Sport)
  • Many vehicles have no turbo/supercharger options (mostly European cars)
  • Anti-lag can only be fitted on cars that come stock with a turbo
  • Half of fully upgraded cars sound the same as their stock counterparts (this even varies between versions of the same car)
  • Numerous vehicles still have an incorrect stock sound (Honda Beat, Alfa 155, Porsche 917K which was fine at launch, FXX-K)
  • Stage 5 weight reduction lowers the weight by the same amount as Stage 3 but it's roulette exclusive?
  • Widebodies are permanent (can't the GT Auto workers just kick the fenders back in?)
  • Liveries are separated between normal and widebody cars
  • Liveries and styles have to be saved before they can be applied, even a simple paint job
  • Car paint has to be purchased outside of the livery editor
  • Car paint has 3 demo cars to view the paint on instead of your actual vehicle
  • No interior customisation (GT6-style custom gauges)
  • No Forzavista-like mode in the garage that lets you move around your car and enter it
  • Invitations... everything about them (replace with discounts or remove entirely)
  • Can't sell cars (confirmed to be getting added)
  • Very few post-2016 American and European vehicles
  • Duplicate vehicles were added in this game (DC2 Integra, EK Civic, E30 M3, 3.0 CSL, 993 Carrera, AMG GT S/R) instead of actually requested vehicles or the "futureproofed" Premium models
  • No brand new tracks to the series (PD has the Pikes Peak license but won't add it?)
  • Returning original tracks are butchered with altered corners and sections
  • No Machine Test function for SSRX instead of Circuit Experience/Drift Trial
  • How will PD make room for new tracks on the world map?
  • No specific time of day selection for custom races (in 30-minute increments)
  • Too many button presses, bad UI (GT Auto backing out to the main menu)
  • The feeling of FOMO that permeates the entire game
  • Music changing every time you change menus
  • Literally 70% of the soundtrack is by Daiki Kasho, Masahiro Andoh, Nittoku Inoue or Lenny Ibizarre
  • No USB Custom Music Import feature (Spotify doesn't count)
  • Zero damage model beyond scratches
  • No dirt/oil stains after races, removing the car wash's purpose
  • Stiff chase cam with low sense of speed and no 360 rotation (this was in the Sport beta but got axed, why?)
  • No FOV options for any camera view
  • No HUD customisation
  • No cones option for driving markers
  • Physics and FFB issues, understeer replacing the pre-1.13 snap oversteer
  • No clutch option for controller users
  • Lobbies are a downgrade from Sport (no quick chat, tagging players, host migration or changing settings mid-lobby)
  • No Nurburgring tourist layout in lobbies
  • No shuffle mode
  • Like Sport, the only daily races for road cars are BOP one-makes (this was different at launch but it was broken)
  • No visible DR/SR changes in daily races
  • No online time trials (confirmed to be getting added)
  • No seasonal events
  • Always online, game is basically unplayable without Internet
  • Despite this, it doesn't feel like a live service title with constant updates
  • The microtransactions have horrible value for their price... plus the fact they exist in general

That sure is a lot to fix...
  • remaining in the car while you travel down pit lane (as it is it breaks immersion)
  • being able to change cars from any screen
  • folders in the garage, or at least the ability to save the way you viewed/sorted it last so you don't have to do this every time
  • save search settings in lobbies so when you go into a lobby where the race has already started you don't need to re-input all search settings. on that note...
  • see lobby status (race in progress etc) on main screen.
  • Give more warning for people selecting/tuning cars in lobbies when a race is about to start (20 seconds to select car and enter race)
  • Report function for sport mode for rammers.
  • Brand central ux/ui... it's just so lackluster and sad.

There’s no need to customise any car. It’s personal preference.

If players want to make replicas of certain cars or tune them to match other types of cars, that’s what the option are for. It’d be like anything. If a player wants to race any car stock and that’s their enjoyment(no matter about acquiring a certain amount of Cr.), players will do just that. As you say, an option to customise or not, is the choice.

There’s really no incentive. The game may suggest tuning, but it’s the players’ choice. Naturally.

Pretty good list.

I'd add in No drag racing option outside of the missions. An option similar to missions but you can select an opponent, an option for it in 2 player split screen and a drag option added in Sport mode.

I know it's not everyone's cup of tea, but they have the assets to make it work as it's in missions. Should be a pretty simple cut and paste job to give it some purpose.

Bathurst 12hr this weekend, disappointing not having a race event for it.. Gr.3/4 cup race, WTC 700/800? 1hr ... 2 hr endurance race.???

This game needs a Gr.3/4 race on almost every track. And Gr.2/1 in the future..
Got a whiles to go.
I’m all for Bathurst event, but PD still haven’t sussed out the AI from Sulman and Reid Parks. The annoying braking still persists.

How would online drag races work though? A tournament?

How would online drag races work though? A tournament?

An Xmas tree that just cycles, every 30 seconds, and then a timer when your car crosses the starting line and then 1000m is a split time, 2000m is the next, and then 4000m.

It could even be a separate layout. Have two or four drag racing lanes with increased grip due to laid down rubber, and have barriers separating it from the main track that is used as a return road...

Does anybody still play the game? It looks dead to me. Friends liking online don't like it now and single player ones cant find any single player. And big April update didn't come. I don't have my cars...

Since the invitations I got from that one patch all expire next Wednesday, I’m wondering which of the hypercars I should get. For reference, the cars that have the hypercar tag are the Aston Martin Vulcan, the Ferrari FXX K, and the Lamborghini Veneno. They each cost roughly 3.5m. I’m personally thinking of the Vulcan, just so I can see if its brakes are any better than they were in GT Sport. Especially given the relatively new Brembo partnership - guess who made the Vulcan’s brakes?

EDIT: Apparently, the Vulcan is also the most affordable of the three, so that’s nice. I already have about 2.2m, and I have plenty of Circuit Experiences left to potentially do.

You missed one: no rental cars in the Arcade Modes (only 13 in two-player battle and offline mode), as opposed to like in Forza's Free Play where all the cars in the game are rental cars with immediate access, or something like GT4 where it's eventually possible to unlock all the cars in the game as rental cars in the Arcade Modes, for as long as you collect them at least once in the main campaign mode.

still not able to access Toyota cup registration here in the Americas. The fact that it’s a sponsored thing would make it legitimately funny if they somehow bungle this

To be honest, I expected the May update in advance of tomorrow so that all the new content would be in-game for people to practice with as the season launches.

I figured they’d drag their feet on a real update, only because the new car race isn’t until the summer. But the fact that, like you’ve said, we can’t even access a Free Practice is already pretty bad. I’m not the smartest guy in the world but I know the 15th is arriving soon in a few places, and we’ve gotten nothing but pretty photos recently from the PR accounts.

I can't seem to get gold on the WTC 700 race at the Red Bull Ring. My best finish is third, and on my latest attempt, I came in 4th, slightly over 10 seconds behind the leader. The weather seems random, too. On that most recent attempt, it was really cloudy, but the weather radar was clear. Other times, I've had rain near the end of the race. Sometimes it'd rain near the beginning, albeit briefly, and not enough to get the AI to pit for tires that are better in the rain. I think my best bet is to really try to no-stop it, as I can do eight laps without refueling. I'm able to do that by setting the FM to 6, and then short-shifting when the revs are halfway up. But maybe if I shift when the revs are a bit lower - like when the meter is just slightly filled instead of halfway - then I wonder if I could really do it without pitting. I'm not too concerned about tires, either - I think I can do the whole race without changing tires if I pick the Racing Hards.

Meanwhile, another potential strategy I tried was setting the FM to 3, and using Racing Mediums. Using that strategy, I'm able to pit towards the end of the fifth lap, which is exactly halfway through the race. But it seems that pitting doesn't do me much good. Maybe I could indeed still catch the leader, even if I did pit for fuel/tires, but the weather feels so random that I don't feel confident in forming a strategy. I even tried changing to Intermediates once when I saw stuff on the weather radar, but it never rained enough to get the AI to pit for Intermediates nor Heavy Wets.

EDIT: I'm specifically using the Ford Mustang Gr.4, as I feel like I want to use similar cars as the AI.

EDIT2: I think I got it. I'm likely gonna need to pit at any rate, so I think I may as well set the FM to 3 instead of 6, and stick to my original plan of using Racing Mediums and pitting halfway through. That way, I'll at least be faster on the track, if I'm going to pit regardless. And if the rain gets bad enough for me to change tires, then it's highly likely the AI will do the same, so I'll adapt accordingly. I mean, considering that on my last attempt, I got a clean P4 while using Racing Hards and the FM on 6, I'd say that's pretty impressive for me, so I think I can get a clean P1 if I stick to FM 3 and Racing Mediums.

Grinding for a purpose. My Super GT line up of 2016 GT500 cars is coming along nicely

  • The microtransactions have horrible value for their price... plus the fact they exist in general

That sure is a lot to fix...
I would also add in stock online time trial leaderboards that we had in GT5P. Not every car/tyre/track combo needs them but they could cover a good amount.

Check out the Honda NSX Nurburgring thread on here, it's still going, people want stuff to do and I find it bizarre how these stock TTs weren't continued over into GT5 and so on. What we had instead was tuned TT leaderboards and just people finding tuning exploits, not many want to waste time with that kind of nonsense, they want to compare and test themselves in the same car and stock settings. People were looking forward to having the Nurburgring in stock TTs in GT5 when GT5P was the main game and this never happened.

Race selection in the solo mode needs a whole visual rework. Races that are named the same should be in selectable menus with the same name instead of spread over the world map. Sunday Cup should just be an icon with the races under that category instead of having to find one in each region. The current system looks confusing if you decide to roulette and run a car through as many races as you want, and the fact new races will be further cluttered in the way it presently is. People shouldn't have to Google if the game has a new race and where it is but the way it's presented all but assures people will have to do this.
