Best I can hope for is that Sony has caught wind of the player dissatisfaction, decides that it is hurting the PlayStation Studios brand, and makes a few heads roll.

There must be somebody at Sony that watches forums, especially this one. In fact, I think it was confirmed Sony or PD watch this forum in particular, a few years back in GT5/6 days, but I can't remember the context. Regardless, you would think it'd be in their interest to.

They could have their own metrics or way of collecting information. I just think back to the interview David Jaffe had with the heads of Bend Studio. The way they made it sound, their pitch meeting for a sequel was absolutely brutal because Sony wasn't at all happy with something or other. The game sold well, mind you.

If Sony are indeed on some next level of quality control these days, maybe they will step in and make something happen. I hope so.

Stop trolling.
I’m not in the business of blowing smoke up peoples ******** or posting sarcastic comments for likes.

PD get reports from players on a private group chat. Even translators who bring English language articles & videos to the notice of PD.

Just a hunch. Sony & PD don’t see much point engaging with an open forum where devs are routinely labelled lazy, with calls for their head.

Most of the time it’s just frustration. But it isn’t constructive and lessens the chances of any official engagement.

It really isn't often that you're right is it?

Sony controls PD's marketing and communications. PD do watch this site but no, the reason they don't officially engage in forum conversation has nothing to do with anyone calling them lazy or any criticism lessening any chances of official engagement. There is a reason this sites founder and staff get to sit down and interview Kazunori, that's about the most official engagement anyone outside of Sony will get.

The people here on GTPlanet are so out of tune with the times that they deny the possibility, or rather, probability of a GT7 port happening despite Sony having a release date for the PC port of their most successful game in recent years (Spider-Man), as well as Jim Ryan being quoted that Sony was going multiplatform, and also the infamous Nvidia leak.

As a PS5 owner, I don't really care, because the rival console has been porting everything they have to the PC for a while now and demand for their current product is at its highest in years. God of War coming to PC didn't even dent the PS5 market. So I don't understand why people here are so defensive when it comes to something that is very likely to happen in light of recent events and news.

Most people are aware a GT7 PC port is possible, further into the future. That's pretty clear from what Sony are doing with other games.

What we are denying or questioning is that Nathan88 knows for a fact that it is in development right now. He's provided no proof of his claim, just as he doesn't provide proof of all the other claims he makes. All of the things he's claimed (DLC track this month, 3-4 more in the works, PC port coming, some others I forget) are clearly all based on leaked info or just straight up guessing. Oh, 3-4 tracks in the works, who could predict such a wild thing. Especially when track names have been datamined in GTS.

All of his claims are clearly just evens odds predictions that anyone could make. If they come true, he gets to claim he was right all along and vindication. What happens to him if they don't come true? Nothing. He's nothing to lose. Same as all the other "leakers" that exist online for gaming. They make 20 predications, 18 fail, they come up with excuses, then claim brilliance and vindication when 2 come up.

Throw enough 💩, some will stick.

If you had done any reading of the posts going against Nathan's comments (surprise surprise, you didn't) you would see crystal clearly that he's speaking about things that he believes are happening, but has shown absolutely no evidence that isn't circumstantial evidence to back up his points - that is, if he even does, and not just deflect to avoid having to answer them. Reminds me of another person, truth be told...

Which is hilarious, because both of you both go into the well of 'wahhhhh GTPlanet is too mean' when people very clearly go contrary against both of your whining and frankly wrong ramblings. Both of you deflect and avoid ever having to answer the ******** you spew. Grow up or get out if you can't handle the heat of criticism on an open forum.

Just a quick note to say that the "Nvidia Leak" was nothing of the sort.

It was an internal database of the Nvidia GeForce Now software that essentially contained a complete storefront scrape of every developer game store - including Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo, Steam, Epic, GOG, and pretty much everything else you can think of. GT7's on there because it was in the PSN Store.

Even in that context, the list contained StoreIDs for all the various titles that were already available on PC or becoming available on PC, with some more titles we all expected to be on PC having "TBD" StoreIDs. GT7's entry didn't have even that - God of War did (TBD, at that time), but God of War Ragnarok didn't either; Horizon Zero Dawn did, Horizon Forbidden West didn't.

That all means there's no basis for which to claim GT7 is in development for PC from the "Nvidia Leak" alone.

Earlier in this thread, the very admin of this forum more or less said that using GT7 showing up in the Nvidia 'leak' is not at all an indication that GT7 for PC is being developed, either now or in the recent future. Which further proves how much of Nathan's 'predictions' are based around twisting things that have happened, and are more or less circumstantial, for his own ends, and has no desire to ever answer them in an effective way, with proof.

This sites founder gets the same access as any other outlet with regards to interviews, review copies and invitations to events.

PD have a private group chat for direct feedback with devs. In it you need to provide verifiable video or documented evidence of bugs or issues. That’s the only way these things can be replicated and addressed. While they’re online players they also highlight issues in the wider game.

They’re a Japanese team. Reports need to be detailed & translated. No one has the time to trawl through dozens of posts on an English language forum.

Wrong again, not about the group chat, but about the reason they don't engage on the forum. They do read the forum which you now say they don't have time to do. They can't engage because Sony controls their communication.

It might help your cause if you just stopped making stuff up.

This implies that there isn't a state-of-the-art standard for scraping, parsing and analysing sentiment via AI and ML software which the biggest organisations in the world use - there is.

The very idea that PD primarily use a developer group chat for gathering player feedback/game issues (specifically in Japanese because translation tools don't exist either, apparently) is downright hilarious and likely fantasy.

Developers will of course try their best but willing to bet something like 90% of issues are discovered and reported directly by users.

I just received an invitation to buy a Ferrari and this happened:

Is this a bug?
That's... scary. They've programmed Brand Central cars having the ability to be sold out too?

Yes it's a bug. "Failed to get sales list." means there was probably an error getting something from the server, so the game is refusing to let you buy anything now.

Just another benefit of the always-online singleplayer, I guess.

I imagine the "unavailable to purchase" graphic is just the "sold out" graphic because there's no other reason for them to be unavailable - and then it's just an overlay/filter on the existing thumbnail (so they don't have to make it for every car).

I hope.
