You've missed the second part of my post, though to be fair it was edited in so possibly edited while you were typing your responce. The answer is yes, improvement beyond graphics have been made in a number of ways, but you're specifically referring to SSD's and I fail to see how that would benefit a racing game beyond the reasons I've already mentioned. FTAOD I have created and published a game on the Google Play Store and while I am a far distance from the likes of where I would expect PD employees to be in terms of talent, I do have something of a grasp of many matters relating to game design and programming.I mean look at GT1 on PS1 and GT7 on PS5 and tell me again the only thing that has gotten better are graphics.
There are so many things that have and will continue to improve thanks to more horsepower beyond “graphics”.
The underlying simulation has gotten so much more complex. From physics to AI to weather simulation a lot was achieved.
GTS to GT7 really did not evolve in that regard and that’s a bummer. The AI specifically is just pure nonsense.
GT7 is GTS at it’s core and it shows.
