She'd love Shirley Muldowney. A true champion, on and off the track:

Nice one, thanks mate. Just skimmed it, I'm sure she'll appreciate it
@Victoria H must be from the 'Pink Team' as well... :D
Haha, I've seen Victoria in daily races. Seems to prefer skull and cross bones/mad max styling!

Next step is to start 'lessons', so demonstrating how to take corners/turns. She's hyper competitive so is keen to learn so that she's 'better than everyone ekse' by the time she's 8 and can start karting. She was upset that proper championships/competitions don't appear am option until she's 12.

I encourage, but don't force anything in a domineering way. Amazing how strong willed, competitive kids can be so young. She was distraught at last summers school sports day, after stumbling in the sprint during 1st race whilst out in fromt nesr the end. Balling her eyes out whole afternoon, then when it was time for next rsce, rolled up and won remaining 4 events, but was crying with upset between races after not winning 1st rsce. Try to harness that competitive edge, but formulating how to teach her how to deal with defeat, as no one wins all the time. Don't want to dilute tge competativess, hunger to succeed, (minimising any pressure of course, no exprctstions/demands from me of course too) but how to conduct yourself well/gracefully if winning and how to deal with losing etc. Everything is about winning at the moment bless her.

Anyway, I ramble on. Time for some deadlifts, pullups to capatalize on excess cafeinne... :D

@Famine note ive worked out the quote button on my phone. Where's my medal. Your workload has just dropped by 50% ;)
Happy new year chief.

My 6.5 year old daughter shuffled back behind the wheel last night, supported by cushions in the chair. Turned ffb right down on the fanatec wheel and switched on all aids.

Took the Yaris GR out after giving it a paint of deep pink paint and added a decal with her name to the bonnet. Rinsed the Northern Isle speedway race several times, then Broadbean. We then moved onto the Daytona RWD US car series, and she won in the viper several times. Amusingly she was adamant it looked better in black, but wanted the wheels painted bright pink - usually its pink or purple everything. We then moved onto the Daytona pickup truck series, and after giving it a purple paint job, with pink wheels, we won that twice - ended up doing 88 miles.

We're in the UK and planning on doing the Disney Florida thing in the next year or two. I told her about Daytona, we watched some nascar videos last night and she wants to visit that now, although was disappointed she couldn't actually race on it herself :D. She defo has interest in cars though, obviously from my input. She loves racing on those slow electric cars at theme parks already and asks me to put my M3 f80 into 'sports mode' all the time :D. She even leans over to check the dash to make sure sports mode is enabled, including suspension - if she sees comfort she gets annoyed saying wants it all in sports mode now :D. Our local karting track takes on juniors at 8, and she's expressed interest in that...

On xmas eve we spotted a new porsche gt something and I was looking at it as leaving the car park. She exclaimed 'daddy we're not racing a porsche, you know porsches are fast than our car...'. I laughed and then semi seriously said 'well, some porsches are, not all', to protect my somewhat fragile ego. :D

(sorry wrong thread, meant for what did you do today...)
I knew the Millennial / Zoomer trend of not liking cars could only last so long

Ha she did say the other month about global warming, effects, causes after scholo. She mentioned teslas, to which I said something like 'that is right what they're saying, but I'm not getting rid of my car/getting an electric car'.

She said good, I like your car and don't want you to sell it :D.

Here’s what I want for GT7 in 2023:

An incredibly robust PSVR2 implementation. Not a stripped down mode - I want the entire game in VR.
Not only that, but also exclusive features such as a VR showroom for Brand Central and Hagerty, the ability to Forzavista cars, as well as being able to explore the depths of the Gran Turismo island.

Has anyone figured out a way to stop or lessen the low speed vibrations?

It feels like it's destroying my wheel sometimes...It's much worse with racing tires.

It still exists with vibration setting as low as 5 or 10. As well as the lowest possible setting for FFB.

Theres a few threads on it but no real fixes for it... Just turning every setting so far down or off it still exists and at that point you might as well just use a controller...

There's no way. Some people say plugging in the controller first and then the wheel helps but to me it's made no difference.

It's not for a few days yet, but Sarah and Luca got me this for my birthday ✨

Don't think I'll actually use it for any events, but it's nice that GT titles continue to do things like this

Resolution for GT7? Not to let it take over my life. There's still plenty of hunting, fishing, swimming, etc. to do, local events to attend, and music to make.

Question to those that have both the p1 gtr and the fxx-k and have done versus between both which one did you prefer and why?
The P1 GTR seems to be the better car, but I haven't driven both enough to fully tell yet. The FXX-K seems to be abit slower in my opinion and too stiff in corners, while the P1 GTR is a funner car to drive. Another issue is that the Ferrari does not sound right Sounds too airy*, it would've been better if it had the Ferrari VGT sound.

I just sort of realized that if you haven't bought all the wheels, you can tell which ones are center-lock simply from the fact that they're the most expensive.

I Agree while the game haven't allow me to own the fxxk yet from what I know about both cars the p1 gtr does seem like the nimble car out of the two. I would also say I finally drove the zonda 09 today and while its not as fast the sound and handling on this car was amazing gonna try a custom race with both after I buy my second p1 gtr. :)

About the sound that's disappointing the v12 and the downshifts of the fxx-k are two of my favorite sounds ever just listen to this.

One thing I don't understand is why they have the SF19 Super Formula in the game but there are no events that use it. All they need to do is create a variety of liveries and they would have 3 endurance events immediately at Suzuka, Fuji, and Autopolis. Set the lap counts to 31, 41, and 42, respectively. Give them time of day transition, random dynamic weather, 1x fuel rate, 1x tire wear, a grid start, and the competitive AI setting that is used in races like the Tokyo credit grind.

If the concern is that not many players would play races that take an hour and a half they could just cut the lap count in half or by a third.

And then they ever add Mobility Resort Motegi or Sportsland Sugo to the game they can just bring the event there as well with no changes except for lap count.

It just seems like such an obvious and minimum effort choice for a new set of events that would give players something different to do.

Those events are in GT Sport. Why they were not carried over, we just know. That’s the theme of this game: “ We just don’t know.”

The Ferrari doesn't sound as aggressive as it should but that didn't ruin the driving experience for me at all. It used to be a total mess early on the game's life but after the physics updates it's one of the most exciting. It doesn't corner as fast as a GT3 car but it's just as fast (if not faster) over the course of a lap thanks to it's straight line speed and acceleration.

I’ve made these as custom races. It sure would be nice if I didn’t have to use so many credits just to use my SF19s in actual Super Formula races.

Zolder was the track GT participants believed was coming for some time. But still hasn't arrived.

The other track Tidgney writes down is one he knows for sure is coming.

The full discussion is on his Christmas stream from 3hr 35 mark.
