Oh god I think your right and I'm just remembering wrong.

Maybe to much grass cutting in that game is getting to me.

Anyway ignore my post.

Sorry to go OT, but is it any good? Think I downloaded it on Gamepass ages ago. Not the most appealing of games, but thought i'd give it a go. Did try power washer sim a while back and seemed somewhat therapeutic/relaxing blasting the dirt off of an old van for 20 mins.

Then I uninstalled it and never returned :D

Cr.100,000 from a 2-star ticket, Tesla Model S from a 1-star ticket, McLaren VGT from a 4-star ticket and Cr.1,000,000 from a 4-star ticket...
Here're my too-lucky gifts ever.

BTW, I uploaded a look-back video of the Nike ONE 2022 and its "Launch Edition" a week ago.
Too bad it didn't come to GT7 in 2022, but I hope it comes ASAP.

I remember seeing some concept art for a Jordan Brand Vision GT vehicle, but I don't think it ever got released.

So I'm playing Lawn Mowing Simulator when I ran into this car I don't remember the name but I remember it from a gt game.

It is quite similar to the W Motors Lykan HyperSport although I think it has changes to avoid having to pay rights.
It has never appeared in a game in the Gran Turismo series but it has in DriveClub.
Last year I visited Expo Dubai 2020 and at the entrance they had a Lykan HyperSport ambulance on display with diamond headlights included.

Did GT5 actually ship with this damage model? I can't remember and don't want to dig out my PS3 to check. If so, was it all cars or just certain cars that had damage to this extent?

It was kind of bizzare for the other cars though....
To be honest i prefer it the way it is in GT7 just forget about damage model... xD

There were some odd results, but you did have to really try to damage a car as much as you could to end up with extreme results like those.

I don't think any GT game has done a good job throughout the game with damage modeling, it's too light in GT7 IMO but better than nothing.

At least it's detailed on GT7. The scratches look really good, and the broken headlights too. They should maintain this level of detail and polish for heavier damages if possible

Ok I'm lost One screen tells me I have 180 cars the other tells me I have 175 and the car index tells me I have collected 182 cars which do I believe?

I know I haven't sold any of all the gift cars I received expect for the gr4 bugatti, I have a few duplicates of some cars and I have 10 c8s for contexts.

This is true, the dents and scratches look very good, but it takes too big a bump to cause any dents and then they never get more than minor dents at that, at least in my opinion and experience anyway.

But I definitely agree, if they can keep working on this model and making damage more extensive, within the usual realisitc licensing restrictions games have to work within of course, and keep it looking as good as it does then that would be very nice.

The 175 number isn't a total car count. When you go into the car coleciton screen you'll see 175 cars with red dots on them. If you click on them you get some information about the car and the dot goes away. That 175 is just a count of how many acquired cars you have collected where you haven't clicked on them to read the info in that screen.

There's definitely a wrong count in one of the other screens though, I think this has been noticed and confirmed before, but I can't remember hich one is correct. Probably the higher number.

The Collection book are what cars you acquired if that you haven't looked at. As in, clicked on, in the Car Index screen. Click on a car weith a red dot and you'll see the "175" change to "174".

So the 175 is the cars I haven't click on to read info since I last click on 1? and the 182 is the total cars I have acquire so far and the 180 is the number of cars I currently have in my garage.

Yes on the 175, possibly on the other two. Someone else will probably know more about the difference between those.

For the first time in ages, I tried a couple of races in Sport Mode and well; the servers failed me. Doh!

I tried the Gr.3 race on Alsace (god I hate this track) and was doing okay on lap 1; passing a lot of people crashing. Which is funny because I usually wreck on lap 1 myself, but then I got disconnected. So, I then try the Gr.2 race on Autopolis (not the biggest fan of this track either), there was less people crashing. Though, I accidently understeered into a turn myself and took someone with me. I eventually got into a groove and was battling my RCF Super GT against 2 other RCFs before once again getting disconnected.

and then that was it, because I had to get myself ready for a meeting.

Yes, if you sold or discarded any, it will be less than what's in your garage. Your collection number will remain the same.

General question do you test drive every car you either buy or received as a gift?

I know I do every car in my garage has as least 1 lap under its wheels.

i have a load of cars I've not driven yet. I'm still trying to build my collection and I'm fairly short on time so I'm mostly grinding Sardegna for credits to buy all the expensive LCD cars before they all become 20 mil a piece!! Oncve I've built enough of a healthy bank balance I'll get back to driving all my cars. I've probably driven about 70% of the cars I own...

Yes of course, I'm curious of how they handle. I test them all, but not only that.
I buy all mufflers to choose the one that sounds better + suspensions and brakes/pads. I also get widebody if available and all the other body mods, + livery sometimes. I want my cars to look good in every way.
I waste a lot of credits like that.
I say "waste" because I can never use those cars online in Daily Races (except Gr.3/4 and a very limited number of production cars...and that depends on what PD let us use). I'm used to Forza Motorsport, where you can take any car in its own matchmaking (=GT's very limited Daily Races).

Eventually.

I try and find a challenging race for every car, despite the poor payouts for some of the World Circuit's selections.

I'll use stock setups where I can, making minor adjustments to my favourites in order to enter them in progressively higher-tier races.
