It's easy as everybody expected before release. No need for the thread now.I played the game for 10mins before and after the update, i will say nothing and await your comments...
Really excited about this thread now...
Nah... you can still spin out,but at least not in 5th Gear on a Low Power fr car.People want more realistic physics, but when they get them, some complain and push PD into turning the "simulator" back into an arcade game.
A lot of the fun disappeared for FR cars imo ...
I wouldn’t say it was “harder simulation” it was probably more the case something was broken. It's easy as everybody expected before release. No need for the thread now.I wonder why they used harder simulation if they exactly know what is necessary to "fix" it.
I have about 10 tuned cars in each category from 450 to 600pp and now I also have to re tune them.Seems PP ratings have been adjusted across the board for all cars even the bone stock ones in my garage (the displayed rating will update when you select the car).
Will need to retune everything.
Easier, more realistic, more fun. Seems like something where you should only be able to "pick 2"I like the new physics. Now it's more realistic, easier and more fun to drive.
Why?Easier, more realistic, more fun. Seems like something where you should only be able to "pick 2"
I'll poop on your post if you don't tell us.i will say nothing and await your comments...
Because easier and more realistic are generally at odds and fun is to be had in taming hard to drive cars. I'll admit this update might have checked all three boxes though. 👍Why?
There are plenty of real life games that are easy to understand and play but are incredibly difficult to master and beat a skillful opponent in. Pick any sport, card or board game.Because easier and more realistic are generally at odds and fun is to be had in taming hard to drive cars. I'll admit this update might have checked all three boxes though. 👍
Easier and more realistic are never at odds. The whole "harder is more realistic" thing is absolute crap.Because easier and more realistic are generally at odds and fun is to be had in taming hard to drive cars. I'll admit this update might have checked all three boxes though. 👍
Okay wow, I am impressed. They basically fixed/adjusted the stuff that I felt was wrong with the physics.Downloading the update now.
I was just drifting the GT86 at Tsukuba on CHs yesterday, so I'll have a comparison fresh in my mind. I'll let you guys know my thoughts.
Yeah, they basically just made the oversteer more progressive instead of it being “on/off”.Looking forward to giving a try based on the feedback so far. I was enjoying the driving as it stood and was hopeful it didn't sway too far the other direction. Based on what I am reading, they kept the physics feel, but dialed it in.
Yeah I agree def at near limit there was damn near no way to save certain cars. Extensive tuning did help in ways but still hard to fix. So sounds good they tweaked it enough here to round out some of the issues at least from what you see initially and others.Yeah, they basically just made the oversteer more progressive instead of it being “on/off”.
I too enjoyed the driving beforehand but there was definitely issues when you were on the limit or drifting.
I'll poop on your post if you don't tell us.
My guess is that it's easier, and maybe more realistic, whatever that is. But those who were faster before will be faster now as well. The good thing is that more people will find the game enjoyable and play it.
I'm positive without even having tried it.
What are the Fanatec FFB changes then?!
I only had CE Nordschleife left to gold prior to the patch, because i don't know the track. I just tried it now - the nice and lively feeling is still there but the physics are a lot less punishing when mistakes are made. I can now drift my way to gold casually on the same sectors that I prior to the patch struggled on.
I like it! But I liked it before as well. If more people like it now than before, it's a success!
I was also enjoying it pre patch.. Genuinely excited to get on later now reading these comments.I can safely say this is the best the physics have ever been in a GT game.
Now all PD needs to do is fix online lobbies, add way more menus/events and this will be a perfect game for me!
That’s fair, enjoy your holiday Scaff, I think you deserve it after having to watch over the GT7 subforum as of late…Your going to have to wait, I'm on holiday for the next week and a bit.
Oh wow. Yeah def can see that, before these changes it was was close but now based on what you are saying def can say that easily lol. Can’t wait to try it. And same with them hopefully getting out of bug fix mode in the next two months and just solely focused on new content.I can safely say this is the best the physics have ever been in a GT game.
