Are they group 2 cars you are racing against? Cause for me, I use the Gr. 2 NSX for the 800 series, so I'm wondering if I could just lower the specs of the R92CP on RH tires and go to town for that series(?).

Jerome
I haven't driven the group C cars but those cars fall under 900pp so I think you can use RM tires.

I was using the Toyota TS050 16' on RM tires and they lasted the whole race.

Don’t know if it’s just me but after the latest update atmos was turned off. I had to go to PS5 setting and switch back to Dolby digital and then back to Atmos to get height speakers working.

Otherwise really cool update. The LFA in chase cam down a tunnel is insane. I got through B master license pretty quick with golds, but not looking forward to the rally sections.

Pretty sure that GT3 doesn’t have badges, it has decals. The 400R has badges.
It was a thing that all the plastic badges at the time were replaced with vinyl to save weight and cost.

Edit:

The bonnet badge was painted rather than the acrylic one on the normal cars.

Split screen mode is BETTER but still not good enough. You can pick assists for player 2 now but player 1 still has a performance advantage. Tried same car, same assists and player 1 is still faster.
Makes no sense.

I think Lake Louise might be one of the worst GT tracks of all time, but other than that I'm quite enjoying this update. The photo mode improvements alone are a game changer for me, but the fact we've got a killer batch of cars and a proper overhaul of the custom race payouts is just the icing on the cake.

This new event World Touring Car 900 is hard even with a p1 car and on easy I'm still only winning by 6 seconds at best.

You start over 40+ seconds behind and I think the first place car never pits to make it worst.
I did the WTC900 with a detune SF23. Super easy. I was not even trying hard and occasionally spun and still won by 20-30 seconds.

Now the top speed is actually slower than some of the competition but it destroyed them on acceleration, braking and going round corners.

Now my difficulty is on standard so Expert may be different..

It already said that in the previous version though

Coincidence, just checking this topic  Thanks for the reply. Just booted up GT7, so i'l check it out!

What about that opening movie huh? So clean 😍😍 Anyone else noticed it suddenly says: The Maestro - Lewis Hamilton? Maybe a sign? Some Lewis Hamilton content coming? Would be nice!
It needs to be remembered that there is only one maestro. It is not Lewis though, he IS a Genius and I am filled with awe at his skill, but he cannot claim another’s title and I am disappointed that he himself has not declined it. The title belongs to J.M. Fangio. I think because he’s been dead for 30 ish years that some people have forgotten. Lewis should know better.

I have spent such a fun evening playing split screen with women I love. I love the update.

While this update was definitely a "big" update, the new rims were not added in the end.
Some players may remember unused non-OEM rims that only appear in AI thumbnails. After all, that was cut content, and doesn't PD have any plans to add more rims to the game?

Slightly disappointing that Sophy doesn't exactly scale to your car but I suspected as much beforehand. Theres a lot of stuff they still need to figure out how to handle with the AI.

The couple races I've tried with it on Professional have been alright. From memory, it seems about the same as Violette was back during the test. I kinda wish the current "Professional" was actually the middle one and that Sophy was a little faster. Currently its a decent match on Pro but I'd like it to be slightly harder.

Still, its very fun and cool to participate in what feels like an actual race. The way the AI very clearly moves to defend and takes different lines. And doesn't just drive off the track if you put them off the ideal line. Also feels great to have a grid of cars at the start, all clumped together but not crashing. The fun chaos that is the first few corners and the first lap of bumper to bumper, surrounded by cars.

Also sucks that the payouts are all still garbage I guess. 1hr Spa and 30 min Le Mans will continue to be my money makers as they pay well with clean race bonus and I actually kind of enjoy them.

The Weekly Challenge is kind of bittersweet to me because they basically had the same thing in Final Fantasy 14 years ago. And probably in another MMO before that. It was a book item you picked up every week and it would have a random selection of maybe 9 or 12 "dungeons" or boss trials that exist in the game to do, laid out in a tic-tac-toe sort've pattern. You did events to try and make a line and then were rewarded accordingly. The problem is that you end up with events on there that you don't want to do.. So you can't be bothered. In GT7s case, its the combination of lame events (like the truck one or Rally or whatever else I don't like) and the pennies that you get paid. Isn't much incentive for me to do it.

Side Note: I can't get my Fanatec shifter/clutch to work with GT7 now for some reason. Tried unplugging things, tried turning controller off and only used wheel. Its set to PS5 mode. I dunno. Worked before. Also, about half the races I start, it starts me in 6th gear when it goes green. Something is definitely not working right. Feel like I had this problem once before long time ago and can't remember the solution. Might've been which USB port on the PS5 I had it plugged into.

Edit: Did they up the payouts on Custom Races? I haven't seen anyone mention it but its showing like 265k for a 30 min race and double that for 60 min. Wasn't that way lower before? Like 50k for a 30 min race?

How about say thank you kaz and act grateful for once.....the most negative people I've seen.....do you want some cheese for your wine??
how about you put some cake in your piehole and STOP attacking people for having an opinion that is different to yours. People are entitled to be positive or negative under the rules of the forum - they are also entitled to be addressed with respect and not belittled because they don't share your personal view of the world. If you don't agree with them, you are entitled to say so with respect but don't be thinking you are daddy, or the classroom teacher or the dictator that says "everyone in this forum must think like me or else i will pull out my little stick and beat them over the head". Too much of this rubbish goes on in these forums.

I still don't believe GT Sport still have much more single player content than GT7. "We have New stuff GT7 2.0". I give you 15 days and we're back to Race (Spa/Le Mans/Sardegna/Tokyo) get money and but another 20 KK useless car. Sophy? Each Race gives you the same amount of money normal AI gives. There is nothing to do.

Really PD? Ohh daily races gives you tickets, but roletes are still 90% 5000/10000 Gold and 10% of other stuff.

This game was born dead. Cafe should be side content, not the main game. If we had at least comedy Race missions giving 500K per win. Much better than the same races over and over.

But it's the same people always complaining...it gets annoying and adds nothing to the discussion.....never said they must agree with me, but having a positive outlook vs negative is always better...... wasn't any belittling either......just sounds like whining from most complaining about the update....

Have played for about 90 minutes and the game feels better somehow, more complete.

I like the weekly challenges concept. I hope they get creative with it.

I like that I can now run a decent pay out custom race with 640pp-ish Group A / DTM cars (Supra, Cossie, M3, GTR, 190e).

I love the Spoon decals and put like 100 of them on my DC2.

All that’s missing is some classic tracks and the Racing conversion.

It's cost, it's only ever cost. The weight claim is little more than a marketing gimmick. Literally grams versus cutting out thousands in mould tooling, plastic moulding, chrome plating, adhesive mounting pad and associating tooling to cut that out...

... I'd be more inclined to believe it's an aero advantage, at least if it's in the airflow.

I wish Polyphony would update the car sounds in this game. Some cars sound alright but dear God the RB sounds dreadful.

The reverb and crackle and pops are spot on but the actual engine and exhaust sounds are just downright bad. I thought the spec 2 update would at least make some improvements there...

The tire model still needs work. There's no feedback when I'm on the limit. It just feels sterile.

Forza is a pile of crap at the moment but cars still feel more engaging to drive in comparison to GT7

Anyone else share the same opinion?

I want GT to be amazing and I know it has the potential to be amazing but Polyphony are still stuck in their old ways. It's a damn shame.

This is literally in the patch notes, and the blog announcement and the gtp article...

Not sure how you missed all of those sources
Guess thats on me then cause I didn't see it there or anyone mention it in the posts I've read through. Figured people would be shouting it from the roof tops as its kinda better/more impactful than various other updates they made.

Not too shabby.

I just noticed that, despite my expectations, the LFA isn't in the UCD rotation despite the model year for a dual-Brand Central/UCD car (2001-2010). Sure the Enzo and Carrera GT has excuse of being invite-only cars, but what's the excuse for the LFA?

Because too much useless complaining gets toxic after a while, that's why... especially after a finally GOOD update and also a FREE one.

The engine on the last Forza was so synthetic to me that it ruined the whole game. I can't be bothered to try the new one as I'm sure I would be disappointed. Forza is hard to drive but bares little resemblance to real car feedback and so mastering it didn't feel rewarding at all. Forza is more like a sadistic arcade game vs. a sim.

Compare that to GT, where I feel that everything they put it is realistic. You can only get so much from just a wheel and today's sim brake pedals. In the real world driving my 500hp Ariel Atom feels a lot like the Porsche 917 in GT7, fronts unload under power and you lose some steering, you can feel them lifting off and hopping about, which is fun and realistic.

You'd also have to have the right real world expectations regarding some cars. A modern EPS car, even a Porsche, is a dead thing in your hands compared to no power steering or even the old hydraulic. Add to that our modern cars weigh as much as an old van. With a true street tire, say summer category, they are squishy and grease up in a minute and you get even less feedback.
