I liked it. If you watch video of the real Civic world record at the Nordschleife it does make the noise. I guess it can't be turned on?

Nissan GT-R Cup race on Blue Moon Bay Speedway PP restriction changed from 630 to 700(like the rest of the races in that cup)

Edit: maybe it was changed even before 1.40 update I just noticed it now

The LFA has a chime, and the Civic one is also still there.
Daaam i drove the rx-7 in the license and it was gone. Thought that counts for all 😞
Edit: Thats wierd i drove the lfa now and have no chime 🤔
Edit: shame on me lfa hase it but less noticable then the chimes befor the update. Maybe i got to old for the high pitches 😭

Another time of day option has been added to the Le Mans Time Trial. "Midnight".
(During the cutscenes, with a little patience, you can hear the owls and the subtle blow of the wind - but the wind is not new).

In online lobbies if your name is tagged in a message that chat bubble shows up yellow.
See 14:35 in SuperGT's video on the update.
The newest SuperGT video showed that when someone tags you in a comment in multiplayer the comment now has a yellow background to make it more noticeable.

Double confirming what these two posters wrote with a screenshot. Your username also appears pinkish as opposed to red.

In an online multiplayer lobby, the "Initial Fuel" setting is now applied to all cars in the practice session, instead of only applying during the actual race as before (see: me in the pits with 76 litres of fuel as I spectate Alex).

Backing out of the online lobby list now leads the player back to the "Multiplayer" pavilion screen (displaying "Online Lobby", "2 Player Split Screen", and "4 Player Split Screen") instead of the main map.

I use a double break pedal too. Have you tried calibrating the pedals and setting the clutch super low?

Even before this update I had issues when breaking really hard but I’ve swapped the G29 brake rubber out now
Recalibrated the pedals in game and clutch not engaging now for the short time I use manual transmission, I didn’t try on snow track yet. Might have something to do with update setting everything back to default. As in Kaz says you will listen to opening song again except with update you can skip opening song when it starts by pressing triangle.

About to post the several other changes in the OP. Whoever did the clean up of the thread, thank you 👍
The resonator thingy on my T-GT no longer works. I'm using a PS4 Slim, wheel is plugged directly into the console.

I found something weird when I went into the Multiplayer, Split Screen Mode. It could be a glitch, because first, if I select the car from the Favorites ⭐ there, then it is only available to choose in the actual color. However, if I return - go back one step - then I can choose from any of the colors for the model provided by the manufacture. I'm not sure if it was possible to do before the update. I wonder if that's an intended, hidden feature or if it's some kind of a bug. Though it may not be that important but that way, you can see the different manufacturer colors the model offers. That's only interesting for those cars which can't be bought in the Brand Central.

I can confirm no more detail…. Very frustrating…
Player 2 has undefeatable boost on in split screen mode, it doesn't affect player 1

Edit : On the PS4 version
Gents, I suggest you post these in the Bugs & Glitches thread I have linked in the first post. These very clearly are bugs or glitches of some kind.
Regarding the FFB warning, it seems the FFB itself has changed once again and that has prompted the need to have a warning.

Back when PD made the update that revamped the entire FFB so that people got their panties in a very tight knot and screamed loud enough for them to roll it back even though it was a massive improvement, high downforce race cars felt like the steering column was just about welded solid from the other end. That feeling has returned which is great, but the main thing is that I'm now running FFB at 3 and it feels like it did at 9 back then. I don't have any doubts about there being a very real chance for some dislocated thumbs at high settings now, it's already heavy at 3 and my wheel is the (by elitist standards) feeble T-GT II and its ~6 Nm torque.
Oh wow, thats abit alarming. You might wanna also post that in the physics thread as well, that really needs to reach more people.

Well, it's not physics per se, just the FFB. It seems they finally made the combination of the lower end from the earlier (and later) version with the top end from the short lived update, which is exactly what it should have been back then already. The FFB has never been this good in GT7, probably GT as a whole.

Not sure if it was mentioned, CE progress increases payouts for Quick Races. Payouts increase incrementally with bronze and gold trophies, and possibly silver as well but that needs verified.

Did a quick search also haven't been as active, so excuse if incorrect or old. In anycase I noticed a new spectator stand at the first corner on Autopolis.

Looks like it was updated recently.

Go find a video of it on youtube and compare. If I had the time I would be bringing lots of track side changes every thread as they LOVED to tweak things in GT sport .

Haven't seen this posted yet: decals can't be applied to the rear license plate on the Dodge Charger R/T 426 Hemi '68. Seems to be a bug as the front works fine, albeit by selecting "body" rather than "other" as per usual.
