With the update, the creator showed car lovers the middle finger. You might as well enter a single credit prize for winning. Do you think this will force players to buy credits? Not! Nobody will spend the absurd $ 120 buying a virtual Jaguar for 12,000,000 credits.
PD should rename the game in "Gran Turismo - The real economy simulation".

What does PD cares about your poverty, why did you not made a fortune as a mid-twenty, selling some of your multimillion dollars new-economy start ups, to be so rich that 120 $ / € feels like nothing to you. Own fault, poor kid! :D (includes sarcasm)

Because the SRO GT World Challenge series is seen by millions and millions of viewers across the globe and totally isn't made for gentleman drivers with a few factory teams on the side.

Get a grip, lmao. There's like 30 cars and 8 tracks in the base game. No GT fan is buying that.
I'm mainly a GT player and I've been playing ACC for around a year, so don't assume things because you don't know any better.

People are praising GT5 as the best game in the series? Oh, those were the days, countless arguments about the downfall of GT back then and then 6 happened...

If only people saw 5 at launch, oh my gosh

GT2 rocked, full of Japanese late 90’s sports cars with every variant you could wish for! GT2 also had the best title song with “My Favourite Game” by the Cardigans, equalled only by GT3s “Just a Day“ by Feeder.

Those really were the days.

It heavely try to make you buy currency but it's TOTALLY false to call it a pay2win game. You dont need to pay to win, you need skill.

If you did need skill i would agree. But you do not. I don't no whether you have a self inflated view of your own skills, but this game is easy for everyone. I have 40 hours, completed all the campaign and golded all the licenses. Its easy, and on purpose for the masses. You can get any car and finish miles ahead of anything on that race. After you complete the campaign, tgere is no other way to get money bar doing every race over and over. This is why they have nerfed the winning credits. It has NOTHING to do with skill, sony clearly dont have enough people purchasing microtransactions. This is not game balancing, its microtransaction balancing, and if you think any differently your either a silly fanboy, or deluded.

THIS! Nowhere does it force you to spend your hard earned money on credits. Yeah it pops up on screen, but it doesnt hinder your progress. Havent spent a penny on GTS and im not planning to on GT7. Just grind it out I guess.
Small Hint: Yes it does. Its basic marketing-psychology!
I don't disagree, but i'm also willing to give them the benefit of the doubt and see what the next 6-12 months of content brings us.

Aside from the always-online issue - which is a problem in situations like this where they're addressing an urgent issue, there are 100's of games like this now, GT7 isn't an isolated case at all. The problem I have is people are acting like there isn't 40-50 hours of singleplayer content, and that they're expecting to have everything unlockable for them within 5-10 hours. It's some of the worst entitlement i've ever seen for a videogame, completely unhinged.
There is about 40-50 hours of content, then you reach lategame and notice what is missing, namely half the game(IB-S class races, custom tournaments, true endurance races, etc, - just to name a few)
Not to mention, with the stupid payouts most races don't even feel rewarding.
What I don't understand why this game gets raving reviews while the economy system is a total rip-off and on top of it you can't play correctly offline. Baffled how much slack PD is given once more because of fancy visuals.
Two main reasons I guess:
1. MTX weren't present for most reviewers, as they got patched on launch day
2. Most reviewers play for like 20-30 hours per game and then estimate the rest, so the often miss the problems a game has in the lategame

I don't get why people are complaining about PD plummeting the economy of the game to push for microtransactions. I mean:

-Car prices are overly inflated in recent years.
-Payouts are getting smaller and with less purchasing power.
-You spend more money to race than you can earn from it.

It is definitely a Real Driving Simulator. 🤣🤣🤣

If anything, it’s a cheap lesson for anyone under the age of 35 on how inflation works 😂

The Kremlin's cyber squad has hit back after Sony closed it's Russian Store and withdrew GT7... Putin's biting his fist watching this thread right now, he has brought western civilization to its knees by knocking the GT7 servers off... Not the least crackpot post on here today either rofl

Well, game work now or not????? 8.45 pm
computer-says-no-no.gif

As someone that worked in IT, eh, it'll be fixed sooner or later and the people that wrote that original patch will have to write a nice report on it for the higher ups.

Pretty poor isn't it. I too work in tech for a global Bank. If something like this happened (durationwise with no rollback available) after significant uat testing, it wouldn't be a good look for the people involved.

Having kids, job and a life outside of gaming. I don´t have much time to grind all day long. Plenty of grinding in real life, lol.

After this patch, which made it even harder to buy cars, i seriously considering selling my PS5... and i only bought it to play GT7.
I'm on that side of the boat too.
I really don't think I'll receive a refund of the game, but I can cash out some money by selling my PS5 and buying a OneX waiting for the new FM.
I've had both consoles since the ps3 and de X360 and was able to play both games and enjoyed both of them with it's perks and good things, but I've only had one propper GT on PS4 and at this moment no propper GT on PS5, only a ported game with some visual changes and some stupid decisions, like the always online, and I feel ripped off.
I'll keep my PS4, dowload the game there and then try to buy a OneX, or upgrade my PC a little

no one is expecting you to pay microtransactions at all, it's completely optional. You can switch the option to buy them off in the menu, as you could with gtsport.
Ive searched for that option. Are you sure? Where is it hidden?

It seems there forcing these bug fixes to be released on a fixed date, thus rushing things through at the last minute to meet a certain date, somehow testing/quality control let them down.

I was seriously thinking of going all-in and getting the Fanatec DD Pro and a cockpit after a week of GT7 ownership...until this latest update that I know the credit grinding way is not going to work and the game forces us to buy credits with money. I am almost finishing all Cafe menus and will be done with it. This extended services maintenance resulting not able to play with my HARD-EARNED-CARS further solidify my decision.
