That is one thing I find odd with the customizations in regards to Race cars. You have both the Honda NSX and Nissan GT-R GT500 cars from 2016 that can be customized with the 2017 Rear Wings and the Audi R8 GT3 Evo that can have its rear wing customized to be the Evo II Rear wing (And the Mclaren MP4/4 as you mention,) but you can't for instance add High downforce endplates to the Mclaren F1 GTR to make it look as it ran in the FIA GT Championship nor JGTC or give the Mercedes CLK LM the Diveplanes it had from the same championship. Would've absolutely loved being able to give the R92CP the Rear Wing from the Kokuyo Team Take One car. It’ll be interesting if the ID.R in-game does have the Pikes Peak classification however. Even if it’s not technically the same car.
The only similar comparison I can make are Group C cars. Some low downforce spec like the XJR-9LM. Others high downforce like the 962C. It’s one of my biggest bugbears, something PD addressed with the MP4/4 aero kits.
And one of those very tracks it made a record setting lap at IS on this very game (Same layout as well). I certainly know what one of my record breaker videos will feature (Provided the physics don't destroy me first )Oh look, another Pikes Peak Time Attack car coming to GT and probably without Pikes Peak I'm assuming. T_T
Well, at least you can say this car technically was a time attack car for other tracks too.
Hell if I recall, the DeltaWing is only one of two cars that had the Aston Martin AMR-One tub (Which makes it all the more funny that it raced far more then the car it originally came from and even lasted longer). It's not that much of a secret though (although I thought it was the MXX) - and neither is the DeltaWing (I found a post from me in 2013 noting the AMR-One tub). Tub-sharing isn't that peculiar either - the R390 was a Jaguar XJR-15, which wasn't that far removed from an XJR-9.
I wouldn't count on that. PD have had Pikes Peak licensed for god knows how long and yet during the actual week of the event this year (The 100th Anniversary mind you), they choose...not to include it. We were just lucky The Six Hours at the Glen was the same weekend so Watkins Glen as an addition was at best a happy coincidence. Even though Gran Turismo is now a "Partner" of IMSA, I'd save yourself the potential disappointment of that thought. With Petit Le Man on October 1st, I wouldn't be too surprised to see Road Atlanta appear in this update.
Agreed. Car might've broke some records, but it would be better if it was in BC for sake of player convenience.I will have a fit if this car ends up in the Legendary Dealership.
with ID.R is like 50/50 if it will be in Legendary or just in regular car shop , you could argue that it is a legendary car just because of those recordsWhere are people getting this idea that the Volkswagen ID.R might be going in the Legendary Car Dealership? I know we have the Dior Mangusta but that's literally just a duplicate with a car livery. This is car that does not meet all the LCD Criteria (In particular, the part about being old) and I don't see a reason for this to be any different.

As a quick side-note... if the ID.R goes into Legends Cars as expected, you'll only be able to drive the Porsche from these three cars on the actual update day; the ID.R and Silvia will be added as Hot pick in Legends and Used Cars respectively from 0000 UTC on Friday.
I added this:It's a unique race car which broke all-time records at Pikes Peak, Nurburgring (EV category), Goodwood Hill Climb, and the admittedly more recent (first record was 2016) Tianmen Mountain ascent.
While it would definitely be the newest thing in there (except the Dior Mangusta, which is technically a 2022 creation, but then is also all kinds of messed up with regards to its status) and the only 2001-and-on car not to be in Brand Central, it meets every other criterion for being a Legends Car.
It depends on whether PD considers 2001+ a hard line for Brand Central or not.
Going back to the eadly Trailers, there was this photo.

We don’t know if this was meant to be a player’s garage or Legendary Car Dealership(Brighton Antiques at the time). There are classics and new cars(the Ford GT ‘17) together. The windows make it look like the LCD. So, maybe certain newer cars could have been part of the LCD. We just don’t know.
What about the Isle of Mann WRX ?From this:
I added this:
As in a special TT car that could be in the LCD?What about the Isle of Mann WRX ?
Yep. But I don't know much about that car. Is it actually LCD worthy? As in a special TT car that could be in the LCD?
No Pinto = no play for me! .Here before the "this update doesn't have my uncle's 1997 Chrysler Grand Voyager LX in it, not playing again Polyphony" comments.
Pinto with a 2.0 from Focus RS.No Pinto = no play for me! .
lol!!
Can't see any reason why the VW would be in the LCD.If i had to guess: VW ID.R - LCD , Porsche VGT Spyder - Brand Central and Nissan Silvia S14 - Used car dealership
Ah, okay. We just don’t know the criteria for the LCD. I mean, we see what PD placed in it, but with certain cars some of feel should and should not be in the LCD, we just really don’t know why Kaz/PD have chosen them.Yep. But I don't know much about that car. Is it actually LCD worthy?
But...the ID.R isn't that old. It made its competition debut in 2018. Why would it immediately go into Legends? That'd make it the newest "Legend" by far. It'll probably be in the new car dealer under Volkswagen. As a quick side-note... if the ID.R goes into Legends Cars as expected, you'll only be able to drive the Porsche from these three cars on the actual update day; the ID.R and Silvia will be added as Hot pick in Legends and Used Cars respectively from 0000 UTC on Friday.
It's literally in the article...You and everyone else, given that Porsche literally said that in the post in which it revealed the car.
It is very much a missing link in the current car list though, as we only have S13 and S15 models. It's also one of the cars that's been in GT since the beginning, and is extremely popular as a drift car (among other things).
Paging @Touring Mars for the highlighted section....
