It seems to have front and side splitters installed as default once wide-bodied, which isn't something I remember noticing on other cars.

Just tried doing the time trial for the GTR at the Nurburgring. Either I forgot how the drive the GP circuit or I'm slow at adapting to the revised physics. Braking is very different now

Anyone else having issues after changing the oil in GT Auto - I'm just left with the black screen, only the top bar is visible but I have no more controls, other than closing and restarting the game?

Yes, I got this. But I’ve been getting this with all my games of late. I leave it hang for 5 minutes. Press and hold my controller PS button and then it turns off DS5 then I turn the controller back on and about a minute later it crashes to main menu and then I get an error message CE- 108262-9 Something went wrong with the system software. Then my game resumes from where I last was.

When you come into the conversation asking "DO YOU KNOW WHO I AM" with the hubris of a spoiled prince people are going to laugh and object... I don't think anyone's "offended" by your inflated ego. I get that english likely isn't your first language, but that move is only used by power-hungry psychos who think they're better than others.

I was stating, for me, that your and Kie's opinions don't matter because you're only basing your GT experience on previous GT experience. So when you say the trailbraking sucks now, or that things are "too easy to drive", I know that your opinions are only based on how this game operates. I care about how a car in the real world moves and how close the game is to that. When you say "Kie agrees" to support your point it literally means nothing, because as far as I know, neither of you has the faintest idea of how a car is supposed to act in braking and turn-in.

And in the instance of trail braking, an example: When driving a bone stock A45 AMG/Corolla GR/Audi R8 V10 and many others in GT7 the car pitches itself WILDLY into oversteer with even slight steering input on the brakes. This isn't realistic, and the car doesn't act like that in real life unless you have a dedicated drift brake on it. You saying that it was "better before" means that you have a skewed vision of what cars are actually supposed to drive like that is wrong. Simple as that.

In the future if you don't want people to dogpile on you, maybe re-read your words before clicking reply to see make sure you don't come off as rude, or be intentionally rude and accept the backlash.

OK, so how on earth is that an inflated ego?
Is it forbidden to say facts?!
What world do we actually live in these days that people get offended when someone just simply tries to state facts?!
Because belive it or not, that's up to you, but I would never come up saying stuff like that if it's not true.

But that's OK.

But it's indeed disappointing how quickly a plot gets twisted around, where the simple facts and the main topic or statements just simply get totally ignored.
How quickly people get hung up about literally nothing.
By their own subjective misinterpretation of what someone actually didn't even say.
Only because they think that it must have been meant like that.
Which is completely wrong.
Not even trying to argue the facts.
Just starting to get rude and trying to bash me.
For what?!
For using the wording some guy?!
That's crazy.
Wow, so maybe all of you should rethink how you react and what your backlash might have been like to me.
I didn't say anything wrong or offending.
Yet it's me who is tried to be put into a corner like being the bad guy with an inflated ego.

Because I highly doubt that, you included, has or ever would be in the situation to have the balls to drive a car in real life the way how most if not all of us do drive them cars in a Video game.

I only judge the game and how it feels to me.
If it feels good or bad is subjective.
And now I think that we should all just calm down and chill.

update 1.49 really killed the formula car feel .....not sure what wheel you have , I use DD+ and for formula cars I set TQ in game to 8 instead of 5 (wheel is set at maximum output) ..with this adjustment I have been able to be pretty succesful in bringing back the feel when I drive the formula car. With less output wheelbases I'm sure the feel gets dilluted even more

I have also CS DD+ (gt dd extreme bundle) with additional McLaren GT3 Wheel...

I think the PP system does not means the car is better or not against others whit low PP

I used to think pp was a straight correlation of weight, bhp, tyres and downforce... but that's not always the case as the Porsches can be equipped with the same downforce and tyres as other cars at their pp limit, and be heavier, have lower bhp and worse economy all at the same time. Like
ballast +1 > PP-0.01

No, but I haven't noticed anything wrong with the ABS. Or the CSA. I like how the Lancer Evo XIII drives and turns, it's soft and comfortable everytime I run around on the track.

It feels like there's more abs on the normal mode. I'm sensing less slide, which actually makes sense. I preferred the previous version, but I will get used to this.

I should try ABS weak now to see if I prefer it. Up to now, ABS weak was always slower (for me).

It could be that you need twice the space of the game to download the update, since it needs to be copied. This could be solved either by clearing up more space or deleting and re-downloading the game (although this will cause you to lose some stuff like saved scapes photos and custom race settings)

I don't know, but I've a sneaking suspicion that some cars are nerfed so there's no meta for online play. I suspect this because no matter what car I use I get pretty much the same lap time for cars with the same pp.... and there's no way in reality that a '69 mustang should lap Brands Hatch as fast as an Enzo.

Some guy who is in most cases just a second at most slower then the fastest guys on this game.
Some Guy who plays every day and has clocked up until now over 4500hours of play time.

I race with high tier top Class drivers.

The funny thing is that the guy you are talking to (Vule) is almost always a top 100 timer and is literally more than one second faster than you.
This proves absolutley nothing but as you take this kind of stat as something to be considered to make some statement I decided to mention it.

The cars are more stable under heavy braking and trailbraking seems a bit easier now.
Turn 1 at Daytona is a good spot for testing this change.

You can brake a bit later than before and the rear doesnt try to kill you.

I'm not a huge fan of this to be honest. Mastering braking under 1.49 was a lot of fun and the car felt more alive. Now braking feels kind of "flat" and simcadey

I found it fun, but not really more realistic. You don’t lose a car breaking in a straight line with ABS.

The front tires would also give up some grip if you just slammed the brakes now it’s kinda like the magic perfect brakes… I liked it before better… granted it’s not terrible but the cars feel kind muted

I wish we could return to pre-July physics. I’m very tired of car suspensions bouncing erratically, especially on the Nordschleife. I just drove the Jaguar F-type around there and I ended up quitting the game out of sheer frustration. I never had any such bad experiences with the old physics. It’s a total nightmare how some cars behave, and I’m baffled that PD isn’t doing more to eliminate the issue after all this time.

All? Nonsense. There's plenty of lower and higher. Honda alone has two kei cars and the modern NSX hybrid which was pilloried for its high price. And, as pointed out above, we just got a GT-R in today's update.

If you think that the LFA is not a "high-end" car then I don't really know what to say to you. And that's not even getting into race cars like the "boring", "affordable mid-range" quad-rotor, Le Mans-winning Mazda 787B.

I kinda get the guys point about no high end Japanese cars. The LFA is a hugely expensive sports car, but to me high end would refer more to the sorts of cars that recieve the VIP treatment irl, Crowns, Cressidas, Cedrics, etc. I'd have described the Japanese selection as being relatively 'safe choices' because Japan put out stuff a whole lot more technically interesting or exciting cars than S Chassis nissans, the Japanese Capri. The Sard MC8, Tommy Kieras, and complete tuner cars from the likes of JUN, Mugen, Mines and HKS.

Having said all that there's plenty of sports cars but again not much that would fit what I perceive to be high end German cars either.

Maybe I just want saloon cars shrugs

Are you using stock suspension on all of your road cars??

If you are, I'd suggest adding the fully customizable suspension and changing the 'Damping Ratio (Compression)' settings from 20 back up to 30 as per pre physics update settings. Driving should again be a much more pleasant experience for you. 👍
