Yes, move to AC where you need to spend hundreds to low thousands on a decent PC setup, install a bunch of 3rd party mods that are in a perpetual cycle of releasing thousands of preview builds with the last stable version being forever ago, paying shady people for stolen content on patreon to get anything nowadays, and things just generally not working quite how you want them to.

Ok probably overexaggerating on some aspects but AC isn't the greatest thing ever for everyone. It works mostly but it feels like a constant beta test now and it's really been soured by patreon modders and encryption looking to make a quick buck. It can be just fine if you stick to the high-quality paid mods but the content there is limited to mostly formula, some prototypes, and some GT race cars. Nothing super different or unique from GT7, which has a lot more road cars and eccentricities to offer.

Some just want to fire up a quick race on the couch with a controller setup that works. GT7 and other racing games have the ability and content required to implement good custom races, but the devs never give players adequate tools for some odd reason and it sucks big time.
I don't know about a lot of that. I have a great PC, and I can have a console too. Some of us work. It's not that hard to pull off. We understand about patreon this and that but we also can get what we want, it's not hard if you follow the footprints around. My AC, ACC, rF2, AMS2 and then some all fire up quicker than my PS4 Pro and GT7. Let's not get out hand with this. The people talking here aren't talking because they're happy. Some of them as you can see, are fed up.
Why are we blasting Tomohawks around Tokyo at 500mph saying oh **** every time we hit a wall and get a 5 sec penalty just so we can own some ridiculously priced car? Ya, things are going great. If I could just get something from a custom race that made me feel like my time was worth it and I could progress through owning a fair amount of content, not all, a fair amount, I'd be satisfied. Gran Turismo is acting like it's still the only racing game that exists but the reality of it is a lot of us spread our time within up to a dozen racing titles. To hear that some kids feels like he needs to exploit some glitch for 10-15 hours a day so they can "own all the cars" is pretty ridiculous. (read that on a youtube comment)

Well let's just say both have their strengths and weaknesses. I played AC on the PC for a few years after GT Sport lost its steam, but going to GT7 now, It honestly feels refreshing to me not having to put up with proprietary buggy mods and half the community trying to scam me.

The grind in GT can be annoying, but it's a lot more straightforward to me, building cars with the new tuning and visual mods are a lot of fun. Sport mode is still the best for online that I've played and so on. But yes, in AC there's no economy to worry about, the AI lacks personality but it's stronger, the physics are better and so on.

Sounds like you should just move over to PC then. In AC you don't have hundreds of things, you have thousands of things to do and you can do whatever you want to do, whenever and however you want to do it. GT isn't going to give you what you want here.
That's the good part, I play everything. But I played GT5, GT6 and GTS and it wasn't that bad. GT7 has amazing graphics and physics. You won't get much cars and you can't find much content but still the game has good sides too. Monza still amazes me. Some people say GT7 has bad graphics. LOL, have they seen Monza here?

There is a hope to build a good game from it but they really need to add some fun parts. Frustrating stuff is good for some but after work I want nice race with something like win and no testing cars for some crazy mission I don't care at all. Just good race after work with cars I paid for already.

There is no time for grind, if I want to spend some time without "real" racing, I do this. Why wasting my time with any grind? Like Tomahawk racing. :D I like cars, driving and racing.
Well you're not restricted to just Tomahawk racing, there's the GT3 race at Sardegna or the Le Mans GT4 race for example that both pay out a similar amount and last just a bit longer (20 vs 25-30 mins) and you can go between them at your leisure. Or just don't do them and do something else in the game like a custom race, or a Sport mode race.

But if your thing is not having a grind at all and just hopping into a vintage Jaguar on a public road, GT7 isn't your game. GT is a game about collecting and tuning/customizing cars to build your ideal garage, so inherently there's going to be a grind associated with it.

Yes, I do champs and some custom races. And it's getting boring after so many weeks. I want some content!

Forza is the same and it's OK. I have all cars there. In GT7 after more than 100 hours I don't even have half of the cars. It should be illegal.

"Some of us work". I really, really dislike when people say that. I work. I work my tail off. Probably more than most. And yet I can't afford a half decent PC, or a wheel setup, or even a PS5.

I don't begrudge anyone getting those things, but just because you work doesn't entitle you to get everything. If I was single with no other responsibilities, then yeah, it's much more doable

Wtf? This game is for years... This social media generation lol. Want everything just... because it's there. I really don't get what makes you feel the need to own every car. Most of which you don't even need for anything yet. No trophy, no game content locked behind. It's a bit... Strange.

You paid immediately, you should get everything immediately. I want all cars because I paid for them? :D It's a real racing simulator so I want to simulate all my paid cars.

It's not strange you just can't play racing games. It's about taking any car on any track and race or drive. Normal in any game I know. GT7 is the only game with 1.9 MC score. It's can't be coincidence!

I think it's a weird thing to expect from the 7th mainline entry in a franchise that has always made you put effort to unlock every car in the game but maybe that's just me.

Probably.
No, you paid for the experience you got. It's up to the developers how this is paced.

Gosh, I paid for games in a time where you were happy to even reach level 2 or 3. Good old times.
Yes, we don't use steam cars anymore. Games evolved too.

My biggest wish for this Update?!
Please don’t change the Driving Physics.
The same happened to GTS in the beginning of the Game.
Ppl were complaining and whining that they‘re not able to control the Cars and then PD changed the Driving Physics.
I’d rather have kept the initial Driving Physics.
They were great and felt excellent.
After the updates, they still felt ok, but definitely more catered towards Casual Drivers.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m one of them too, but if Ppl would just be more patient and give the Game more time…😐

If you had played the other ones you would notice a big difference between this and those.

Still a nope from me. You don't pay for assets. In an action game you also have to progress through the levels and can't just play the final stage from the beginning. But you don't seem interested in a discussion and yeah... Inform yourself about a franchise so you don't have to criticize main pillars of a game.
Not really the same thing. Very apples to turds.

100% agree, except for maybe some road cars behaviour. Generally, 7 is absolutely a step in the right direction in regards to physics.

Edit: my bad, I just have a running Championship, which means having greyd out main map icons.

My game is offline already, we're 4 hours before the scheduled time (5:00 Utc - > 7:00 Cet). Anyone has the same problem?

That's not true, and it's a shame that so many people have been brainwashed into thinking that it is.

It's entirely possible for a game to simply pay out fairly for whatever you're doing and to provide a large enough quantity of content that grinding isn't required to collect/tune/customise within a reasonable time frame.

To be clear - grinding is repeating tasks that pose a trivial challenge in order to gain resources/progression. There's just no need for this in a well designed modern game.

GT7 could remove grinding with one simple change if they wanted, make custom races pay out at a rate similar to the best "grinding" races. Suddenly everyone can play whatever is most fun to them and earn money at the same time, instead of having to choose between fun and earning money to buy the next piece of content to have fun with.

Lol. You really didn't play the older games, huh? Don't just believe people when they say that it was always like this. It wasn't.

I think the last update was a huge step in the right direction. Even without using the Tomahawk glitch (or whatever you want to call it) the payouts are not that bad. There are a few races that will net you over 1 million per hour. And there are, seemingly, fewer 20 million dollar cars. The legends dealership is actually priced reasonably. Hopefully - and I'd dare say likely - they're going to keep adding events that pay out fairly reasonably. I'm OK with spending time making money, as long as it pays out decently and I could do a variety of things.

I suppose custom race payouts are the answer, but I've rarely played them and find them a little....bland, I guess.....because nothing is getting completed.

Some big 10+ race championships would be a nice addition as well.

RIP in peace tomahawk.

see you again GIF

No worries, got 250 GTO very pain free, thanks to the glitch 😎 Perfect timing as that was my main objective what comes to cars from current car list 🤩
Aan what do you think about 250 GTO? Is it useful or just for collection? I have got 20,000,000 cr. today, but I doubt that it can help to win any race. 250GTO was too slow against Ferrari 330p4 in GT Sport.

Haven't tested it out yet. I will say if you want vintage performance, that Alpine A220 race car is your best bet, which just arrived earlier today. Bargain for only 300K, bought 2 just because I can 😁 Or you could use Chapparal 2J from driving missions, or 917K, although it was tough to get a few weeks ago due to tough grinding and 20M credit cap.
