Gran Turismo 7's Next Update is Coming This Week: Escudo Pikes Peak Returns

Kinda have to have new events for the new circuit right?
Guessing the usual 3.. minimum.

Maybe 2-3 rally events for the escudo?
1-2 for the new track?

Hope so. Also a CE for every variant, hopefully for some big payouts. I'd hope it would be in Sport mode next week, too!

Don't know if it's considered a NASCAR track; not sure how to quantify that. NASCAR does (did? don't really follow it) race there but so do a ton of other series.

They just posted a blog. No mention of lobby fixes. Like i said my opinion will change and ill gladly take the L but the constant crickets about lobbies is pissing me and my entire league off. We don't give two flying ***** about content until lobbies are fixed. It's time to move on because its apparent PD doesn't care. I've mentioned this before and this is something i wouldn't support at all but i do now. I support review bombing so they listen. I don't give two ***** if the score goes down to 0.0.

Watkins Glen? Really? Now that's a very pleasant surprise. This should mean we are getting some events for that circuit and of course, circuit Experience right!?

If alongside this and the iconic Escudo, the update gives us the ability to sell cars. Then I can finally say we had a good update.
If we still can't sell cars, then it's just another meh or disappointing update (also depends on what the new menus will offer).

We left GTSport because Of GT7. No one in the league wants to go back to Sport. Tbh we shouldn't have to. That response is a excuse. I've been a supporter of Gt since Gt1. Hell i bought my first Playstation because of Gt. My league aren't noobs. Anyone giving GT excuses can bite me. Excuses no more. Will we come back to Gt yes but as it stands now WE DONT GIVE A **** UNTIL THESE JANK LOBBIES ARE FIXED...

Not too bad of an update, the Watkins Glen track was definitely unexpected. 👍

Hopefully the Escudo isn't too expensive, I can't see it being worth more than $2 maybe $2.5 million. The Ford and Suzuki also aren't too bad looking neither, the Suzuki sounds pretty nice going by the trailer.

I'll give the benefit of the doubt but the biggest issue with this game is lobbies and to treat it as nothing doesn't seem likely its fixed. I'll gladly apologize and say i was wrong but this is it. Our league will move on.

Wouldn't bet on that. Yes Watkins Glen is still on the NASCAR schedule as its been for a while, but I wouldn't take its addition as a confirmation for NASCAR considering IMSA races there and is in-fact doing that this weekend for the 6 Hour race.

LET'S GO!!!!! LET'S GO!!!! LET'S FREAKIN GO!!! Watkins Glen is one of my favorite road courses! About damn time they added a actual new track btw lol. I'm pumped. They said it's other additional details about the update coming so let's see what else it brings. This is a huge surprise. 2 nascar tracks in the game. Now gets nascar into the damn game for crying out loud lol

AFAIK it's only NASCAR and IMSA.

It was a Formula 1 track at one point, and Indycar ( 😥) raced there too.

Dunno how it's gonna be on gt7 but on gts, you never got the track and the circuit experience, usually the experience was coming on the next update.

Watkins Glen a nice surprise! Really like that track in Project Cars, some nice corners and lots of elevation changes. The uphill section up to the back straight is great at full throttle!

Plus, as the gt modding community has said, changing lobbies settings without having to open a new one are in the game but they are locked behind a debug switch, so my best guess as of now is that PD is looking for a fix, and once it's done lobbies will be completely fixed. I like you have been playing since GT1. I also got my PS1 because of it and my PS3 when GT5 was released. Hell, I started my search for a PS5 when GT7 got a release date.....

All I'm saying is if you still want your league to have racing, use GT Sport until they get the lobbies fixed in GT7.


And for those lamenting the lack of news regarding fixes...the blog post and website announcement are announcing the updates. Bug fixes will be in the patch notes after the update drops.....be patient. We don't know what they are fixing, only what they are adding...

Yeah just seems to me the lobbies stuff needed more testing, and prob wasn’t the main priority when they shipped but figured the could fix it after the address the other major bugs in the game as with most dev stuff it’s always a priority game. But seeing they found that then yeah I’d say next few months is gonna be about stomping out PP bugs and lobbies.

I'm not trying to be a dick. Honestly but the excuses i keep seeing from the community is backwards. My leagues frustration is because of the games glaring online issues. You have to understand why. Its preventing our league and online play from being what its supposed to be. The lobby issue isn' t minor. Its game breaking for many.

Not betting at all but there's history in the relationship and NASCAR will no doubt be looking for something new to add their name to given the turd that's parading around as the official game at the moment.
