Do you watch SuperGT? Very rarely do we see anything resembling 'wreckfest' in his videos because he has a high driver rating. Improve your driver rating or you'll always be at the bottom of the barrel, or ya know, keep whining while the rest of us enjoy the game. No skin off my sack. Peace
The rest“of us“?Are you having your head that far up in the sky to not even realize, that your backup here is quite non existent?

I did enjoy this game to some extent.260 something daily races, more then 200h playtime and 20k miles on track speaks for itself i guess. That makes the downer of this game (that has a great core gameplay no doubt) even more noticeable.

You sure about that?

I said very rarely, not never.
Didn't someone else just say no one punts him because he's too well known? We need some consistency in these circle jerks theories!

200h out of a game is money well spent no? With more free content to come over time.

Astronomical levels of cope lmao. Are you familiar with iRacing? Touted as the gold standard in professional sim racing, endless videos of punting and bad sportsmanship vids on the subreddit. Hell ever watched real motorsports? Happens there too. But no you must whine about GT7 like it only ever happens on that game. Just uninstall it, although you'll probably complain it takes too long to uninstall. Sad!
Also well done, you've just demonstrated why a lot of people do not want to play online at all, negating your own argument that those who feel single player are lacking should stop moaning or play online. Congrats, you played yourself.

These are just his most recent.

If I link anymore, I'd just be linking to his whole channel.

Did you read the titles of the videos you posted? It's purposeful selection bias. That's WHY he uploaded them. Here's a bunch of others without this constant punting you seem to think exists.
You've still not answered btw, I thought no one punts him because he's too famous and people don't want to be embarrassed? Which is it?

@VolusiaF30 are you just hanging around here forever waiting for someone to say something? Are you that desperate to defend PD or just an incredibly bored troll? I've never blocked someone so fast, but I still see so many people replying to you so I had to see how you were possibly still going.
You know what the pot called the kettle right?

Well that extra tickets bug is pretty basic, no system clock “hacking” or anything! How’d they miss that in testing?

Oh well, at least I have the 787B engine now
How does it work? I haven't been able to play since I got the update and got the ticket initially.

I wouldn't know how people think. There's some that definitely go out of the way to avoid him and there's some that will deliberately do something to show up in one of his videos.

Or you end up running into people like this.

Fact is most players don't engage with the online aspect of GT (not to mention the PS+ requirement to even play online). You only need to look at the PS trophy stats. Even if by your measure that GT7 is primarily online focused, the content that's available is just as disappointing as the singleplayer.

To 100% complete the game? Yes, and even then you're not done until you own every car. Or you can get involved in online which is the centre piece of GT in the modern era.
I’m just going to skip past the part where most online modes were mostly broken for the first 3 months and still have major fundamental issues.

As Samus already said, you could have 100 events, you could have 10 events, you could have 1 event, completing them all will give you 100% completion, this is an asinine, useless, and moot point.

Once you’ve done them all, you’re left with repeating them (since custom races and online pay so poorly) to get any other content or further any other progress elsewhere. So when the event list is limited, it chokes what you can do with the cars and customization.

GT5 had 54 events in the main campaign A tree, most of which had multiple races within the card/championship. There’s also Special Events, licenses, and the B Spec campaign tree.

GT6 had 79 events in the main campaign, again majority having multiple races in each card/championship. It also had the Red Bull series, Special Events, licenses, and mission challenges.

GT Sport (eventually) had 46 events in League, containing 300+ individual races. This was on top of a fairly short v1.0 campaign containing a few other races, missions challenges, time trials, licenses, and circuit experience.

GT7 has 31 event cards and 10 championships, totaling 41. It also has licenses, mission challenges, and circuit experience just like in Sport.

Even 3.5 months post launch, 7 still has less events and races (by around 150) than Sport, despite just about everything else being a direct port or expansion from Sport. And worse yet, getting into the nitty gritty, 7’s event catalogue has significantly less diversity, to the point where several classes of cars don’t even have an event to represent them.

There’s more pickup truck events than there are Gr. 2 events, the latter of which has zero. There are only two (very unequal) pickup trucks in the game. There are two whole generations of Super GT cars and 90’s GT1 cars in Gr. 2.

Other classes/categories/cars not represented in the GT7 event list but were also in some if not all of the past several games:

  • Gr. 2 (as mentioned)
  • Historic (50s-70s) race cars
  • 90’s JGTC
  • F1500T
  • Superformula/open wheel
  • Redbull X cars
  • Karts
  • Group C
  • Road-going Hypercars/track day cars (they literally designed an invitation system around them)
  • MR cars
  • Tuned cars
  • Hybrids/EVs

Refer back to that GT7 event list link. There’s five different variants of the Sunday Cup in GT7. Sunday, Clubman, FR, and generic WTC*pp* cups make up more than half the entire catalogue. Any main racing category/group only has one or maybe two entries. Each category could have just as many regional variants. Less than half the major auto-producing nations have an event, Germany only having one. Brand or model-specific series. Decade-specific events.

Here’s a big list of things they could do, both from past games and transposing formats they’re already using in 7 on to other categories:

  • British Cup (I.e. British lightweights)
  • Italian Cup (I.e. Festa Italiano)
  • French Cup (I.e. French Hatchbacks, Tous France)
  • Schwartzwald A/B/C (multiple PP levels)
  • 80s Championship (regional and international)
  • 90s Championship (regional and international)
  • Lamborghini Festival
  • Huracan/Gallardo Super Trofeo
  • V10 Championship
  • V12 Championship
  • Midship Challenge (lower PP, catering towards MR2/Clio V6/older supercars)
  • Premium Midship Challenge (modern supercars)
  • Saloon Championship (4-door road cars)
  • Mini Challenge
  • BMW M Cup
  • Classic VW Festival (Beetle/Bus)
  • Clio Cup
  • Nissan Z Heritage
  • Toyota 86 Championship
  • Supra Challenge
  • Miata Cup
  • Rotary Cup
  • Viper Revival
  • Camaro Heritage Challenge
  • Mustang Heritage Challenge
  • Hybrid Eco Cup
  • Modified Hybrid Eco Cup (for more depth)
  • Austrian Trackday Experience (KTM one-make, 2 race championship on long and short RBR. Similar type of format to the very first championship at HSR)
  • Willow Springs Clubsport Cup (low-mid PP, at least 2 club sport parts installed, championship across all the WS variants)
  • Italian Lake Experience (Championship across multiple Lago Maggiore variants)
  • Rain Masters
  • Night Race Championship
  • Earlybird Series (make use of dawn/sunrise ToD)
  • Supercar Nostalgia (60s-70s road cars)
  • Speedway Supercup
  • Dream Car Championship (hypercars and track specials)
  • Modified Compact Series (must have at least 3 “semi-racing” level parts installed)
  • Modification Madness (must have widebody and at least 3 “racing” level parts installed)
  • Tuned Kei Cup (for more depth)
  • Regional Gr. 4 cup
  • Regional Gr. 3 cup
  • Regional Gr. 1 cup
  • Drivetrain-specific (FF/FR/MR) Gr. 4 cups
  • International Gr. 4 cup (slightly higher PP)
  • International Gr. 3 cup (slightly higher PP)
  • International Gr. 1 cup (slightly higher PP)
  • Gr. 1 Sprint Series
  • Gr. 1/2/3/4 Endurance Series
  • Group C Legends
  • Nostalgic 1959/69/79 (Specific decade/era race cars)
  • Redbull Challenge (Junior and Competition)
  • Historic Formula Series
  • JGTC (90s)
  • Superformula Championship
  • Super GT Championship

I just came up with over 50 events, many of which I could reproduce as single custom races if I had the garage to fill the grids appropriately. If PD wanted they could even further extrapolate a lot of these regionally or with different PP levels like they already have been with the Sunday/Clubman/FR/WTC variants and give us even more to do.

There’s no reason it should be any smaller or less diverse than Sport was, certainly not with all the functionality they’ve added in 7, certainly you would agree with that?

For those still can't complete the Type R menu, the 92 NSX just shows up in UCD in glorious Formula Red.
Thanks for the heads up! Time to collect my many, many NSX Rally Cars :)

Whoa, I didn't know it would be this easy to collect more of them. You can just select it over and over and fill up your garage. This is incredible. There's no chance we're allowed to sell gift cars after this lol.

It defaults to the trending tab rather than new, whereas GTS, IIRC, went to new. Majority of players probably aren’t clicking onto new so interaction is way down compared to Sport.

Scapes especially, with liveries the tags help, but even so, there’s quite a lot less engagement than in Sport. You can use tags with Scapes but I don’t think as many people search with tags for that.
What's strange is that some of the styles in 'trending' aren't even good and they get tons of likes.

Maybe there are bots at play?

I see this enough in Forza. It's probably that, because they were pushed to the front, they get the most visibility. That helps them stay trending. It's probably not bots, who would bother to bot this?

I can only speak for myself but I've been greatly enjoying this game and doing daily races has been the escape I needed. But I pace myself because I know how easy it is to burn out on a video game.

If I was a streamer or a pro essentially getting paid to play, it'd be different but so far, I've only done 45 (mostly clean) races. I always try to end my session while all cylinders are firing, so to speak. That helps prevent burnout, in my experience.

And I don't do single player, other than CE. Did a few mission challenges or whatever they're called but they don't interest me in the slightest.

Edit - I'm not exactly defending PD here. I think they dropped the ball in some major ways (SR system needs an overhaul, for instance) but I think there are more than casual types who really enjoy this game.
