Has anyone considered PD purposely chose tracks that have a greater chance for incidents so they can test the SR system? It's a beta test after all. If we were given Route X then there'd be plenty of room to pass and everyone would have a perfect rating.

Trust me, I find racing on TE frustrating to say the least. It's not a *bad* track, only extremely challenging and requires the utmost of patience. I think I said the same thing 30 pages back, but thought I would try to chime in again.

I'll go out on a limb and say there are no bad tracks, but only bad drivers. And I'm definitely one of them. Overly cautious and slow, but when I get in a groove I get tunnel vision and throw my patience out the window.

Just turned on my PS4 today in along time to do the recent software update and see a notification saying I was invited to the GT sport beta on 3/29. I checked Playstion.com's built in notification/message feature many times since the beta started and it never showed this notification. Oh well, I have it installed on my PS4 Pro and will start playing it immediately.;)

Next Saturday is going to be a huge test of the servers judging by the number of invites going out.

Minor sound gripe, I'd like to see more exhaust pops on upshifts.

Delete the save file and restart. You will get a different set of cars in the garage.

Repeat until happy.
Doesn't work in europe.
I every time get the same three Renaults, even in the same colors.

N300 Megane R.S. Trophy '11
GR.4 Megane GR.4
GR.3 R.S.01 GT3 '16

There are moments on Tokyo where I'm able to overtake nine people by the end of the race and I begin to wonder if I'm getting pulled into a love-hate relationship with the track.

But then I remember the reason I had to overtake nine people is because I got slammed 40 seconds in and went from 3rd to dead last.

Relationship update:

Just managed an overtake going three-wide and went on to finish 2nd and I'm in denial.

You need to stop playing with my emotions, Tokyo.

I feel no difference in the slipstream effect it felt the same to me with the N class.

Right, I know that already. Like I said, slipstream wasn't going to be changed, but downforce reduction was. That's what I'm looking for opinions on.

Slipstream effect needs to be reduced as well though, it's too strong.

I think understeer should still be an issue when following closely, but not as it was pre-update.

I'll be back home tonight anyway, so we'll see what's up tomorrow.

I had been avoiding races at the oval, but decided to drop in tonight. First was very representative, of what I've been reading on here. Started 4th, but got taken out lap one, and wound up 15th. No problem, I was expecting that. The next two races I managed to avoid the drama, and had some really good races.
Driving the 4C grp3, I had several laps racing a C7, we both kept it as clean as possible. I was able to get just enough ahead to ease over in front, may have slightly brushed his front bumper, but believe is was good. I think his name was Willi or something. Good racing with him.

Ran a couple races Gr.3 @ Northern Isle in the Alfa Romeo 4C last night.

Race 1 was pretty good. Had a little incident at the end of lap 5, but got through without spinning. Had a nice battle with @Windfire1010

Race 2 started rough, with a bit of a moment on lap 1. On lap 5 I squeezed through a very quickly disappearing gap to move from 11th to 8th  On lap 9 the big one happened :nervous: Even though my tires did not show overheated, when I tried to start accelerating again (@2:44) at ~20-30% throttle in second gear the rear tires could not get any traction.

My guess is that, due to NI being in a GT game, there are naturally a lot of road course racers who come over and expect driving techniques that are OK on road courses to work, and when they don't, it causes problems. For instance, there's the fact that most turns on road courses are out-in-out. If you run out-in-out on NI, you're going into the wall, so it's best to just stay mid-mid-mid, out-mid-out or out-out-out. And then, once they see the oval specialists leaning on each other and gently bumping, they expect to be able to do that with reckless abandon, not aware that there's a very fine technique to the way you lean on other cars on an oval. 8 wheels are better than 4, as long as you don't just slam into the car next to you and expect both of you to maintain control. You have to be delicate and careful.

I was there at the beginning sorry!

I have been taken out on my last 2 oval races.
Also, Is it me or lag on that oval is far more noticeable than on Nürburgring or Tokyo? Just to point out, my ping in GTS says 200 or so which's really bad but yet I find it far smoother than GT6 online.
At least there's a positive thing on online mode.

When you are bored at home...:lol::lol:

If you don't get it...

Cliffhanger at it's best . Would be better if you put Dragon Ball episode ending style narration after that :

"What will happen to those drivers after involved in big aftermath of Northern Isle? Do they survive? Or they didn't have enough luck to continue the race? Find out next time in Gran Turismo Sport Beta!"

Jeez guys and gals. When it comes to the Tokyo course, being packed together like sardines in a can on a two lane wide road and you're gonna have a bad time. Common sense. Tracks like the new Tokyo are designed for no more than three or four cars max. Any more and you'll have to rely on other drivers to drive defensively and clean in order to avoid having unintended collisions. The only gripe I have with the new Tokyo track is that PD didn't take the same amount of time to recreate the C1 loop. Now were stuck with a look alike.
From what I've seen in the previous videos and photos of Tokyo, is that people are trying way too hard to race and are simply "F'in up". The courses do not look hard to run on.

Guys when everyone says Saturday? Does that mean it's not available to play until then? It just gives me hope that there's still a possibility I'll receive my code today.. been hitting refresh on my email all night hoping to see something

You can download the game, watch the intro. Look over the UI and set up your options. But there are no races yet. When you go in to them it just tell you nothing until Saturday.

Thanks Sprite... so am I right to believe even if I get the code and are away over the weekend, logging on when there is no online races all I'll be doing is waiting for the next online race?

It seems that way. I personally won't be logging in until Saturday night anyway as I work so it's not so much of an issue for me.

I hoped they would allow at least basic free drive or Timetrail so you can get used to the physics before the carnage that is race day.

I downloaded it last night, but when I launched it all I got was a splash screen. I assumed it was just not active until the times and dates emailed to me?
