I brought it up because that's exactly what happened.

Now for you to say it didn't happen with such conviction you were either involved (which you seem to be saying is not the case) or you are attempting to make a statement you can't possibly be in possession of the facts about.

Whoa, easy there with the accusations fella!

I didn't accuse you of anything, I stated the only two logical options.

The only way you could possibly know what was or was not requested by a number of members would be if you were involved.

If you were not then you can't possibly know and as such are in no position to be stating what is and is not factual correct.

No accusation at all in that, simply two logical positions available given your posts on the subject.

For me to be making an accusation I would have had to assign one of them to you without any form of doubt. Which I didn't.

I didn't say whether it was factually correct or not, I just said I don't know why you felt the need to mention it.

So your tone, therefore, after getting that wildly wrong, was accusatory.

See what I mean?
I mentioned it because you asked about it, that is all.

Regarding online - Of course I'm thrilled about the Nations and Manufacturer's Cup, but I'm most interested in the daily races. I want to know how many there will be at one time, how often they'll be rotate, and the ease of entry into them.

After I got the end credits in GT5/6, the seasonal events was where I enjoyed racing most, but they just weren't rotated enough. If the daily races are rotated two or three times a week, that'll more than deal with the gripes I had with seasonals.

I'd prefer to race against the AI in an offline race when I'm not racing online in a league with people I trust, than in a public lobby.
Why? Because, again in my experience, public lobbies are full of people who have no race craft or etiquette, and the races are almost always just short sprint races with no strategy involved.

I also don't want to just create single offline races that have no sense of progression.
I want to participate in a championship of races in various motorsport disciplines.

There must be others who feel this way?

There are plenty of others who feel that way also, and PD have to be aware of that. From a technical stand-point, a career mode shouldn't be hard to include before shipping, so if they choose not to include it, there must be some underlying reason for that decision. There was also this statement from E3:

Nobody has any idea what he meant by that, but while I wouldn't be bothered by a lack of offline championships, I still find it very hard to believe that this game would ship without some form of offline race series. We know about the basic bones of the new stuff for GTS, but we are still missing a bunch of details that brings the big picture together.

Hopefully some journalist at TGS will just be blunt and ask, "Will there be offline racing series in GT Sport?"

I find it very hard that you can believe that. Playstation Access went through every menu item in their videos (all available on youtube) during their visit to PD. There is nothing there to suggest anything of the kind missing detail wise. The only things not detailed yet is the create race option under Arcade and normal online mode (the p2p stuff like GT5/6)

I hope you're talking about EU version. US was pretty boring.

EU

US
I actually liked the US version just for the soundtrack it used and the nostalgia i got from (I played the US version despite living in a PAL region). However i prefer the EU as the intro because it got that GT feeling.

A GT intro without MOTC is no GT real intro for me/
Let's see how many GT games that used MOTC in the both Japanese and Western/World version as their intro:

GT1: Only Japan.

GT2: Japanese version only. I love how it begins with showing classic old footage of the older motorsport era and keep switching between that and CGI Rome and then ends up at the Honda S2000 Bonnet and it starts going intense. Polyphony could take some notes from that to create GTS intro (The Original GTS trailer had some aspects of that but they decided to throw that awful song on).

GT3: Only Japan.

Gran Turismo 4: Partly in Western version (You could listen to the full intro song in the Jukebox as it's MOTC)/fully in the Japanese Version.

Gran Turismo 5 Spec 1.0: Only in Japan.

Ever since, they made it same as the rest of the world. So even if it returns to the Japanese version, they will probably stay in the Japanese version. So the only way to have MOTC is by pre ordering GT Sport from something like play-asia...etc.

That GT5 Spec 1.0 intro was other worldy levels of amazing.

So yes after all those 'this is sport' and showing everything that's in the game( in one week or so) two months before release. Now we will get radio silence until TGS?

Spec 2.0 was better in my opinion.

MOTC is used in the Japanese versions but they all are the best versions...... GT4 excluded -- Reason is Treason is a sublime song.

Wait... are all those videos the original Japanese versions - meaning they used the same song for 5 games!?

Am I the only one who wants to see another intro with Daiki Kasho? I mean, MOtC is good, but in terms of melody, Daiki's songs are on another level, IMHO.

...Eh, realistically, I think the intro we're getting is gonna have the already-revealed orchestral theme by John Paesano. That's my bet.

Same song, but they sound different each time.

I 100% agree - I would really like to hear a new Daiki Kasho song again! :)👍 'All my life' is one of my favorite songs.

Holy sheep! never saw that Japanese GT5 intro, it's the best intro what I have seen so far...

The GT5 / 6 episodes on PS3 still give some of the best trailers car games
I loved GT5. Got me so amped. PD ate the best making trailers. Kaz did want to be a movie director. He handled that stuff along with replays. Well, I know for a fact he plays a big role in fixing the replays. Can't remember what interview he mentioned that. I have a ton of interviews of his saved in my library.

I took a look a Forza 7's cars list and there are quite a lot significant omissions which I'll share here. There's no 2015 R8 GT3, Huracan GT3, BMW M6 GT3, NSX GT3, Nissan GTR GT3, Vantage GT3, 650S GT3 and AMG GT3. Holy crap, who would've thought that a game with a much larger car list could be beaten in the GT3 department by GT Sport... And we haven't even got around the PD created specials.

That's the biggest strong point of GTSport and IMO the only one of the car list. However, in terms of categories, GTSport is so weak compared to Forza.

Of course. There is a larger variety of categories like V8 Supercars, NASCAR, GT1, Indy, LMP1 and some other classic categories. I gather the fact that GT managed to get so many GT3 cars is good thing.
