Welp, my last race got ruined. Some moron kept hitting people and hit me near the end of the Maggiore course and I got a 10 second penalty for it, then I got spun so I rage quit that race.

I tried all three Sport mode races in order.
N100: Qualified 2nd. Won.
N300: Qualified 5th. Finished 3rd.
Gr.4: Qualified 2nd. Finished 2nd.

I was racing against guys from America, Canada, Brazil, and a few random countries and there was very little lag. I'm very enthusiastic.

Bug I found:
  • During the race, I can't look to the sides of my vehicle even though I have the buttons programmed for it.

Just finished that 30 lap race. Was doing great, with 3 laps to go i was in second .5 behind the leader if that and made a mistake that the chicane going uphill, spun out the the wall crossed the course to the other wall and back onto the track got hit a couple times and spun some more, fell back to 7th, got myself going again and made one hell of a drive to finish 2nd at the end 1.2 seconds behind the leader, if only i had 1 more lap.

will say though my left foot is killing me with how much breaking that track has, but i will let it rest then go back and do it again, i want that gold :D

Ah yes. But PD made claim that their cars took so long to model because they were future proof and made GT6's premium models redunant. Which evidently isn't the case. Or are people going to conveniently forget that? And I can counter the 30fps vs 60fps argument with the fact that Driveclub has day/night cycle and dynamic weather and Evolution studios had neither the experience, budget or time that PD was afforded. Regardless, the modelling or lack there of of the engine and rims is sub par for current gen regardless of the competition.

30 vs 60 is a hugh diffrent in power asking from the console, and Driveclub is nice iam a big fan and long it was the nicest looking but GT Sport is a big step foreward appart from the dynamic wheater (dont care myself)

I find it sad that Mitsubishi museum omitts the 3000gt/GTO. I know that the car wasn't really successful and had a limited run, but I still like it a whole lot and every time I see it, it makes my head turn to it. Come on Mitsubishi, that's a fallacy on your part. Included the FTO, but not the GTO...

Tonight I can really get stuck in as the World Cup Qualifiers were on last night. I hardly touched it with that and the server maintenance happening.

I do need that Livery Editor in my life as it is fantastic from what I tried. Also, Lake Maggiore is a very nice circuit with some interesting technical sections and elevation changes.

I saw somebody here say they won the Porsche 919 Hybrid, and was wondering if they remember if the Toyota TS050-HYBRID was in the selection too?

The livery editor is incredible, haven't tried Maggiore, but Dragon Trail is fantastic fun on Gr4.

Congrats on the win last night btw!

Does anyone understand the requirements of the daily workout? I just reached mine and received a car but I’m unsure what I did besides simply reaching a mileage goal. And whether or not the mileage goal increases or not?

Think it's 26.7 miles that you've gotta drive. Not sure if exactly that but I do know for certain that the magic number is 26.

Maggiore is a return to form for PD's track design; must confess that Dragon Trail bores the hell out of me regardless of car class, its a triangle with a wiggle in the middle of each straight and curbs wider than some cars. Does very little for me at all.

Maggiore however is far more interesting and has some nice elevation changes and differently cambered corners.

Yeah I'm in love with Maggiore. Reminds me of Laguna Seca x Ascari at some parts, with a nice dollop of that PD originality mixed in.

I find Dragon Trail pretty nice if you run it in reverse direction. Cosmetic it has recieved a nice update over the beta. I agree on Maggiore, simply a fantastic track with lots of variation. Reminds me a bit of an evolved Grand Valley.

Pretty much you are done for the day, as far as the mileage is concerned. It will reset again every day.

I've been busting to get on the computer and let you guys know about my first experience with the demo.

It's been almost 4 years since I tried a new Gran Turismo. Has it been worth the wait? Oh yes it has been worth it. I might've only done two races last night but my god has the game evolved. Its doesn't feel like GT, it's something different, something better. Driving a Honda Civic Type R and finishing 5th in my first race wasn't too bad. I learned a lot whilst driving it though - there is much less grip than there ever was in GT6, and you can actually feel the car struggling to accelerate out of corners and the whole experience feels much more grown up. Less like an arcade game and more like a simulation game. You have to be more precise with steering, braking and accelerating. It's great.

Also drove the Cayman GT4 yesterday and (spoiler alert!) I couldn't finish the race because my blue controller died and the black one is broken. Yet when I had some practice just before I got in, I had a chance to experience it's quirks. It's very agile but if you let the car break loose, you go off in a big way. Your actions have consequences, unlike GT6. It sounded OK; not as good as Project Cars 2. Put that aside and you have a really great handling car which you have to treat nicely to get the most out of. Really surprised me actually. The physics aren't as good as Project Cars 2 but it's very solid and more on the realistic side. This can only get better.

Livery editor is awesome. Best I have ever used in any video game. I will stuff around with it for ages. Tonnes of real logos, shapes and patterns which blows Need For Speed out of the water. Everything about this game feels more modern, with a presentation most devs will drool over. The music isn't rubbish, it is unique and quite relaxing sometimes. Holy crap, the graphics are to die for. I am in love. You just know that serious time and effort has gone in to make this the most unique Gran Turismo ever. Say whatever you want about the car count, track count, sounds and physics, but the fact is that this game is light years ahead of GT6. Yes, Project Cars 2 has many positives compared to this game, but it just feels great. Along with a much more stable 60 FPS? I couldn't dream of such a thing happening in a GT game.

I do not regret pre-ordering this game. Gran Turismo is back ladies and gentlemen.

ok i am having issues with stage 6 lessons 1 and i think it is 6, where you are on the Northern Isles Infield, how in the world are you supposed to get a gold on those, i am having issues big time and they are the last 2 i have before i can just go and play the game

@Nighthunter then my friend you don't have issues... Wait until some of the other stages :)

First of all, big GT fan, and I simply couldn't wait for this to come out. Sadly sold my PS3 so no GT for almost 4 years... But this is in my preorder list for over a year already...

But, well, here are my 2 cents...

Game has evolved, there is no doubth, although I really don't like what they did to some aspects of the game.
Cariere, don't mind at all, even like new approach...
GT Sport mode, nice new thing... Like it too...
Even online lobbies are still there...

Physics is impressive, graphics even more. Most of all did sound impress me. But I'd really like dynamic weather and day-night cycle back...

But WTF happen to tuning?!?! Do I really need one car as N, Gr3 and Gr4, and then they say you have 160+ cars? Are there really so many of them if we discard all those itterations? More like 60...

So I need to drive a lot to get those milage points in order to tune cars (with preset tuneups)? Really?

What happen to all those premium cars from GT5/6? Why aren't they in game? Those models look decend to me...

And all those legendary GT tracks? They don't need licencing for PD to include them in game... I do understand that there is money invoved in adding official tracks, but ones that PD created?

...all in all, I will spend a lot of time in this game, but car rooster is really weak if you ask me, all legendary cars are not here, I do hope that those rumors about 500 additional cars through free dlc are truth... And hope that those dlc's will include tracks also, wouldn't mind to get Ascari, Twin Ring Montegi, Silverstone, Fuji etc through one big let's say 20$ dlc... Wouldn't mind at all...

Hope this all will end good, but they need to put in all those legends back... Especially some older cars that were presented in previous games...

Cheers...

OK GTS why can't you automatically export photomode pictures to my PS4 like every other damn title?

I have to either view them and use share capture or export directly to a USB drive!

Because it is in-game screenshot (not via share button) I believe they are supposed to be in PS4's Capture Gallery. Photos taken by internal game to internal PS4 API supposed to have ds4 icon on the photo.

I shut the game off earlier because I felt tired and just wanted to wind down a bit before going to bed, haven't gone to bed yet but I just wanna keep playing! I've got that amazing feeling where you get dragged back in, time and time again. This is gonna be a very special GT to me I feel.

In the beta I didn't have that sensation after the newness wore off, mostly I think because it was just that- a Beta. Not much to do besides run hotlaps and catch a race now and again but being able to sample the full game has really got me continuously coming back. To me, that's when I know I will enjoy the game a ton.

Other titles that have in-game shots get transferred across perfectly fine (Horizon Zero Dawn and PC2 both spring to mind), the GTS demo doesn't (either to a GTS specific location or a general shots one).

I can still get them, and as the Pro does 4K share capture they are fine, its just another step that isn't needed.

Quick question, if the resolution is set to 'High', is that the image being shot and processed in 4K? In GT6 you could effectively set the resolution to 4K, doesn't seem to be such an explicitly described option in GTS though, as far as I can tell. But maybe I'm missing something. Nice picture by the way!

Did anyone meet the same error code as me?
Error code: CE-34878-0
(on PS4 slim)
This error do happen sometimes, when I enter the personal information menu or do some other opertions.
Although this error do not happen during my racing, it is still bothering me a lot...
