Finished 4th in that 30 lap race yesterday, got 1st place today...

Did some other stuff cash was around 940K

Signed off PS4 turned it back on after a few hours i'm down to less money than I had yesterday 690K

Checked my gold list i'm back to 4th "sliver" but when you click on the event and check friends times my PSN name is 1st with my finish time of 1 hour 2 mins ?

Is this a glitch or have I got to do it all over again lol

Too big to fail? I don't think they will close the studio and we probably underestimate Poly in the industry. They simply need some major changes at the studio.

I just hope they did some kind of a stress test today and it's not going to be DC day one(three months?) all over again.

On a 12 hr night shift so probably won’t be able to collect all golds on stage 6 missions before the demo ends, I must say I’m loving it despite my reservations about coming back to GT after yrs of Driveclub love (still do) so I’ll definitely be buying the full game, although not till mid November as unfortunately I have to go to Thailand for a few weeks at the end of this month loving the way the DS4 is handling the cars although i know others feel differently, I’m sold anyway and can’t wait to get the full game

We know we're supposed to transfer up to 8 cars and up to 1.000.000 Cr. Anything about the milage points? Would be neat. And for the liveries, of course... we don't know that yet, right?

Gran Turismo Sport supports autosaving. To save manually, select "Save" from the Top Screen.

I know this is quite common for multiplayer games like Destiny. But as GT seems to have a lot of offline races and missions cant they just save progress offline and sync it with the servers when there is a connection?

Wow, sounds like they are copying Hitman's method. If anyone plays Hitman 2016, they also implement the same system.

wow, I just had my first race online which definitely proved I made the right choice preordering, never ever ever had a close battle for several laps with other people without any contact outside of league racing before, qualified 5th but 2nd-6th were within a second, ended up 6th and it was amazing. Having qualifying and ratings hopefully will make online as good for as long as the game is open.

I've just seen a race of only SRT Tomahawks and it was as crazy and ridiculous as you would think it would be.

Kyoto is a fantastic track . I don't know if it is a fantasy track but it is a lot better than PD tracks like Tokyo and those ovals . Midfield raceway and Deep Forest for example were better tracks than those "things" .

The pitstop animation is at the same time amazing and disappointing. Amazing because the camera angles and animations are really good. And disappointed because it's a cutscene and don't even take into acount the pit lane length. Oh and the AIs simply disappear when they pit... You can't even access photomode in pitlane.

One of the digital foundry guys says the HDR implementation is superior to everything else out there and is not even close. PD gonna PD.

That's what they're aiming for, an iRacing style of online racing which is a good thing. It will take a little while after launch but eventually the sport mode online races will be clean good racing when it's only the gentlemen racers left playing this game. At least I hope so.

Sorry if this is in the wrong place, but I have to vent and this rant would x-post in many threads.



Ok so last night and tonight I decided to really get involved with the Demo version, I loved the beta and was really looking forward to this game. I just cancelled my pre-order and deleted the demo.


The game in its current state is not playable for racing at all. You can’t correct mistakes, not even a little… like I’ve tried to alter the way I drive, the settings and assists to make sure that it’s hard without being silly… but it’s ridiculous… the game is unplayable for racing… you know, the whole damn point of this game!!



I can’t play GTS anymore, there are so many other sim-like racing games on the market and while GTS is pretty well featured but the inputs are so delayed its insane

This is most apparent when going from the silly Aston GT thing in the level 6 trails and then the 30 laps of hell trying and paying that the backend doesn’t step out… if you’re in cockpit mode you can see exactly what the problem is… driving the Aston GT the inputs seem fast and responsive, go to the GT3 car and they just seemed to have slowed down the animations to match the slower speed of the car, it’s like the animations are on x.5 speed. I would post video (as I had of the beta, but for some reason I can't upload youtube videos after the lastest PS4 patch).



I might come back to this game next year… but I’m so done for now.

You could have Forza's animation (or lack thereof). GT's animation is the best out of the 3 main racing titles out now.

I have win the McLaren Ultimate VGT this morning daily workout and it was a very good surprise how well the car handle. Just 2 things:
With traction control t 0 the car can manage full accel out slow corner easily even with the LSD accel setting at 60 (max). No way to set an agressive LSD, the car is a bit dead mid and out corner.
It seems to have a build in traction control that you can t disconect.
It s also possible to run extreme settings ( i saw this for GR4 and GR3 cars) just as the closed beta game. All mini front and max rear. Even downforce max front mini rear.... Setted this way, any car must be undrivable, PD need to increase the settings effect range to allow us to reach a sweet point, closer to the limit.
Transmission also is only stock (perhaps mileage allow to buy one??) and the top speed is limited even with full downforce. Just as the kart, the wheel rotation is a bit to short at high speed. Need a bit more to gain some precision.

When the full version arrive, we need your tunes!!!

Just my 2 cents worth...been off racing for year or so. Thought I'd give this a go. Dusted off the G29 and plugged in PS4. Diametrically opposed to online ANYTHING but wth came in with open mind and joined 3 lobbies:

1) 2 dudes, probably buddies. 6 laps of seaside...i passed them on fast corner on 3rd lap. Dude didnt like it from his swerving around in my mirror. Kept my cool and stayed in front. Last bend before straight BOOM they both shunted me into rails. Came 2nd quit..didnt say anything in chat.

Deep breath..

2) Joined next lobby..practice ok car is fine dude starts race Im at back (no issue just wonder why exactly that is?)
Race starts but I DON'T. My car wont move, in any gear forwards or backwards. I ask in chat for help. No-one bothers to reply. Everyone leaves during the 6 laps. Im stuck there..have to restart GT S.

3) Another deep breath:. Look for race/fun lobby..find one half full. Join it. While my session is loading (after that piston pumping screen) get message that race is starting. I arrive in car in pits cant join race. Spectate only. I quit. Game hangs again. I close GTS. I post this.

SO glad to be able to try a demo, glad I had open mind about trying something I despise for many reasons, feel vindicated yet sad. Another nail in the coffin of single player gaming, from one of the biggest players on the planet.

Actual driving was fun, when practicing offline. Couldn't see car older than 5 years?!? NO Ford GT. No point in commenting further its already been said by someone. Wont be spending a cent on this out of protest from someone who has owned and played the ****out of GT's 1-6 since late nineties.

One thing I would like to see improved for the full release is the length of replays, that can be saved. In my view the PS4 and server should be able to handle at least a 10-15 minute saved replay. Then again in the short term, the servers might struggle. But in the long term we should be allowed to save a longer replay.

I would at least try Sport mode first... I've mostly a great experience in it. Make sure to put up some qualifying laps and it'll surround you with people who match your pace. It's brilliant.

I wonder if it matches with SR first, then pace second? Or vice versa?
