You can only choose your garage cars right now! That's why I can't choose the Cayman because I have to buy it

So PD is changing a lot for the good it seems. Are they listening to us? ;)

Now it finally makes sense to buy cars you actually have to use.

So apparently we can't switch on the windscreen wipers anymore. All I see in the options for button controls are hazard lights, right and left indicator, flash lights and high and low beams. No wipers.

You could have the wipers turned on in GT6, even in dry conditions.
I miss this feature. Wonder why they removed it.

Possibly because it highlights the fact that there's no real rain. I'd expect it to return when and if we get rainy conditions in race.

There seems to be something wrong? I'm in a race now on Suzuka against the usual Cayman and 4C's.. That's strange because I only had the 4 cars I mentioned above to choose from.

The 12 car change is great. Only was against the same ranks.
Good to be getting more wins and so really nice racing.

Nope. I'm the most experienced and I'm 2 seconds behind.

I know it's not Brands Hatch, but Suzuka should be even more of a wheel circuit and I'm 7 tenths off the best time in Europe, while not even using the fastest car. I'm no more than 2 tenths off the best Cayman time, which is the car I'm using.

Can someone explain to me, why seemingly no sim racing game on consoles has implemented a feature where wheel users and controller users do not race in the same lobbies?

This should be a thing, wheel users have a significant hardware advantage in all sim racing games, regardless of their ability. You can take a guy who is good, but not great, give him a wheel vs a great controller users and he'll trounce him every time.

Games should auto detect if you have a wheel connected and match make based on that... and if you try sneaky **** like connecting it once you're in a lobby with controller users you should get auto booted.

On a side note, any wheel users that are currently using the 4C in Gr.4 daily race... you are the cancer of the racing community, just sayin,

Except, we don't have a significant advantage in GT, thanks to what is probably behind the scenes driving aids people using controllers are quite capable of getting into the top 10 on the leaderboards. And as others have already said, there is a ranking system in place anyway, so you're going to be matched with people the same speed as you regardless of what they're using. I'm going to ignore the last bit because you're clearly bitter.

They really should. The wheel users are two seconds a lap clear, if not more, around Brand Hatch small circuit.

Well if this is based off of your "sixth sense" I can tell you it's 🤬. I know for a fact that someone using a controller is half a second off of the fastest time in the world, and they're not exactly the fastest controller user I know, so in reality wheel users have barely any advantage in this game, and haven't done since the first closed beta.

If a controller user is half a second off the best time then:

1. You're wrong
2. You're wrong

Guys on the mileage points exchange I bought the Corvette car (already have the safety car in white via Safety Car Pack DLC) and all the items that were on sale (discount).

Should I buy the other items as well which are not on discount? Will they disappear from the mileage store and be replaced? If so, will they return? Or will they be on sale in future weeks?

My best guess is that they'll rotate. Cars, helmets and racing suits I imagine that it shouldn't be a problem seeing then again "soon".
Now stickers and specials colors I'm buying as I see them because I think they'll be flooded with options.

After a quick spin in the SLS Gr.4 in some Campaign events, the differences in the sound between it and the GT3 version are shocking. The Gr.4 manages to capture more of the tones of what the actual engine sounds like, whereas the GT3 just sounds like a generic V8. For having the same engine, it makes no sense why the GT3 doesn't use the sound sample from the Gr.4.

Earlier today i've done some races. Although the servers weren't full ( only 11 players) the races were soo good. Clean driving, not even one reckless driver. I went from 4th place to 2nd. If all the races would be like this it would be perfect. But now, when the race is about to start, i'm getting an error saying " disconnected from the server "

So i want to buy the Mclaren VGT but which version is gonna be the most useful longevity wise?
GrX is quicker but if theres a series held for Gr1 i dont wanna b left out.

The Mazda VGT Gr.X for instance, can't be upgraded, but the Gr.1 can (in the end it gets way faster than the Gr.X one.

Buy both (if you have already completed all the campaign events).

My only main concern so soon after launch is only 3 races per week as many other have said.

Really enjoying the online but the civic race is awful and I don't dare join an oval race after doing one in the beta.

So that leaves me with waiting around for the Suzuka race and that can get quite boring.

Need to go back to the same format as the demo where it changed everyday. Kept me coming back for more!

Finally a decent online racing experience in PS4, just a few more tweaks and I will be hooked for months to come.

If a controller user is half a second off the best time then:

1. You're wrong
2. You're wrong

It seems you missed the part where I said the guy who was half a second off was not exactly the fastest person on a controller that I know. Which means that you could easily go even faster. And I find it very ironic that you're saying I'm wrong, when you claimed it was 2 seconds a lap difference!

Nope. I'm the most experienced and I'm 2 seconds behind.

Now you're just trolling.

Definitely trolling.

I think you're taking advantage of people who genuinely want to help you understand and get better. Not me, obviously. I think you're a troll. But all the other kind people in this thread who are bothering to explain to you why you're not the secret love child of Ayrton Senna and Michael Schumacher are sort of wasting their time when your response to everything is "nuh uh, I'm faster than everyone even using a DS1 with my toes".

Hmm good point. I guess for this first week just to be safe I’ll buy everything then. Been so much focusing on campaign mode I didn’t drive all that much kilometers yet. Doing more races now so the mileage points come in a bit faster.

No mileage points to spare yet to start tuning then. :)

So, how the prize car work?
Is it a single car randomized between a selection of car for each "bonus" (mission x, day y, etc)?
And do we have a list of that?

Possibly because it highlights the fact that there's no real rain. I'd expect it to return when and if we get rainy conditions in race.
Well I always used to keep them on in GT6 to the amusement of my online friends, be it sunshine or rain, night or day. My wipers were always on. I liked it that way. :dopey:
