Hello guys. I wonder if the types of steering wheel available in the market make a difference in the game, more specifically in the method of driving the car. I say this because I see the times of the riders that appear to be impossible to do. Not that I'm good, but not bad either.

I have a G29. Does any configuration of it in the game help that?

Woah... I actually dont recognize most of those... the bottom left looks like a zonda R, the one above it would be the 22B, and the top right would be the mazzerati GT. Other than that I got nothin.

Actually, the top left looks like the old Lexus jgtc, and the one in the middle looks like the old NSX jgtc.

Top middle looks like a Mini Cooper S, and the bottom middle looks to me like a Jaguar E type. The other two though... I really got nothing

If you guys are bored you might want to check out Season 27 of Fifth Gear.

There's a few pertinent drives... eg. old Alpine 110 vs new one.

Nismo R35 vs. 911 GT3... you know the drill. Camaro vs. Mustang etc.

Golf vs. whole bunch of hatches eg. Focus Fiesta ST

Maurizio Arrivabene: F1 must fight for attention in 'PlayStation' era
“Our competitor today, in my opinion, it’s my personal opinion, they are the Playstations,”

“If you look at Gran Turismo, most probably we need to switch our minds and focus our attention on our competitors."

“Is PlayStation a competitor? In my opinion yes. What do you have to do to beat the PlayStation? You have to do something that is more interesting, most probably."

Not sure if already posted. If so I'm sorry

Was posted in /r/gts - he's not wrong.

25yrs ago a select few did Crammond's F1GP and then Papyrus' long run on simulators on PC... I watched the Group A, I watched American Indycar and of course Senna vs. everyone else.

We didnt have much in the way of consoles or smartphones or Netflix or whatever else is out there grabbing eyeballs.

I play GT Sport pretty much every day and have little interested in whatever it is Microsoft or anyone else is peddling.

F1 can be argued is "men's soap operas" - I enjoy the characters like the drivers and the prominment team principals. Liberty would be struggling to maintain the same audiences under Bernie.

We are drowning in content and F1 is just another.

I get what he's saying but he's really looking at the situation in an obtuse direction. My only interest in the 2018 F1 season, was purely on the courses that exist in Gran Turismo. I know those tracks and I know what challenges the driver's face on those courses which heightens my level of interest. You watch their line choices and real world passing opportunities so that you can then apply them to your own virtual driving. I've tried to watch F1 races on tracks I'm not familiar with and it eventually became as boring as racing was before I got into this game.

So, if they want that Playstation audience they should really be co-sharing track, driver, and car assets with Polyphony rather then just selling off the entire license to Codemasters. Or, simply pay Codemasters to produce the game and then sell it away at a promotional cost (or even free) to become the default racing product on console. F1 is a fine game and there are a multitude of ways to approach the issue to reduce the financial cost but the primary point here is that they need to view console gaming as a marketing avenue and not a profit point.

Does anybody know if it's possible to change the grid in arcade mode?
I'm mostly an offline player, and it gets tiring facing the same cars over and over again
If its a Gr.B race its always the Audi quattro, if its a Gr.4 is always a Megane in the lead, and if its Gr.3 its always the 2 BMW M6 in the lead, just to give a couple examples. I don't know if it's just how it is or I'm I'm just not seeing the option :dopey:

Unfortunately not.

Thanks
Shame about that
I miss the days in which the AI cars were based on the car we are driving instead of some groups :indiff:
Yeah, the last update, has changed the grid, to not mix the cars around. I race Gr.4 the most and no matter the car, starting order is the same.

A pastor at my old church, had a green on green Maverick. Wish I had bought it from him. It was in perfect condition.
