It's possible, only problem is there isn't really anything big in motorsport the next few months, not where you could conceivably launch a game any way. It's the winter break for most series and events. Even a launch like GT6 at a track would be odd because again, it'd be in the winter when no active events are running.
Possibly an event just for the game launch with the FIA and several drivers and cars there. Maybe Kaz thinks they are so big now they don't need PSX or other game shows.

Highly doubt it. If that's the case why stay on the PlayStation platform? Why show the trailer at PGW? Despite the GT Academy and FIA Partnership, GT remains a "game" at core.

It's always going to be a Playstation only title. The GT Sport Beta is slated to come Spring 2016 and is NOT supposed to be the actual GT game most of are waiting for.. GT7. It would have been nice to see something here, strange indeed they couldn't, but there has to be a reason they're witholding any further clarification about how GT Sport will work through a 'revealing' trailer or interview. There's always a reason for everything. With the FiA in the mix they have to be careful about they proceed with news until everything is nearly concrete and ready for download.

Was really surprised GT Sport wasn't shown at all. Like many said, another trailer could've been thrown together easily, but I guess not. Oh well, we'll just have to see what comes around

On every site people are disappointed with conference and focus on VR and indie... Everybody asking same... Where is AAA games. Where is Gran turismo, Last guardian, SOCOM, God of war, Crash? and so one... And about VR game and graphic there are one word that they used. 🤬

The conference wasn't too bad, some great games were shown but it could/should have been better.

Also still won't believe GTSport gets delayed, out of all the studios you'd think after GT5, PD would announce a date they're sure to hit.

might be talking to the car makers and tracks plus of course things might be under NDA until given the all clear hence the hush hush

While it's disappointing to witness that GT Sport isnt there, i also like to remind you all that most of games that should have been on PSX is also not there.

The only major news i saw there are Uncharted 4, Ace Combat 7, Yakuza Zero, Final Fantasy 7 remake, PS2 games, and some indies. (if im missing something tell me). The PSX overall is actually disappointing to be honest.

Depends on what games you like, they've made some stunning announcments.

Plus lets face it PD announce stuff when they like it, they're the one dev that takes their time and nobody defies them

Just in case anyone wants more clarification on how NeoGAF isn't the end-all, be-all of "insiders" of gaming and the knowledge that supposedly comes with it.

Have a gander at this post. Of course, I know this guy isn't an insider at all, or probably even claims to be one, but he has @Jordan confused with a former Rockstar Gaming community manager, Jordan Liles.
