GTSport is a rejigged GT6 with a new coat of paint? Seems so, no wonder Sony said it isn't GT7 👎
What? It looks great from the little we've seen so far.GTSport is a rejigged GT6 with a new coat of paint? Seems so, no wonder Sony said it isn't GT7 👎
Everybody is worried about tire flex now?
I'm just sitting here waiting for another trailer for GTSport
Yeah. I thought he's also did flame bait posts on another threads FYI.Just someone making a questionable post, or grasping for straws, neither of which make sense anyway.
You don't need visual modelling to have physical modelling (all games account for slip angle if that's what you are worried about), and you certainly don't need an advanced (or "dynamic") physical modelling to have the visual modelling. Even at constant "ideal" pressure, you'd have some deflection at different loads vectors for different tyre stiffness.
Anyway, seems like visual modelling is "cheap enough" for current gen, Driveclub will be (is?) doing it in a patch to come too, so GT doing it or not will probably be a question of 'fidelity importance to them' over performance.
Whether there is tire flex or there isn't, you wouldn't see it in any of those shots. The tyres aren't under lateral load in any of them, it's static in the Merc one! How are you going to see flex there?!
I'm not sure how much sidewall flex you're expecting in a car that is practically driving in a straight line. The the second and fourth pictures are from the GT Sport trailer in motion(nordschleife Karussell)but here some static
real life tire pictures

Why would they suddenly have tire flex if they never featured it in the first place to begin with? I mean really, in a static Garage shot?

I think that you asking/expecting to much... Am telling you this now because you will be disappointed if you really expect all that in GT sport/GT7.Kaz is teaming up with the FIA to, "drive the evolution of motorsports for 100 years", right? The next GT is supposed to have the greatest GT physics ever correct? PS4 is ten times more powerful than the PS3 so I heard. Other top notch sims place a great deal of emphasis on a complex tire model that can simulate the effects of tire pressure, graining and blistering, carcass deformation, heat build up, retention and dissapation, advanced tire wear algorithms etc. It's quite reasonable to expect that if GT is going to drive motorsport for 100 years and take advantage of the awesome power of the PS4 that they will join the ranks of true simulations and create an advanced tire model that is more on par with other sims or even puts them to shame, given PD's budget, stated goals and position in the industry as a whole.
Why? Keep in mind that I'm not asking for anything, I'm just commenting that it's reasonable to begin discussion about the tire model in GTSport and whether or not it's going to be on par with the better sims or remain a more simcade version of a tire model as it is now.I think that you asking/expecting to much... a pic can't show it well just look it better when the tyre is underload and bounce,i don't know if i wrote this well but i'll post a better explanation later
Look at rear tyre 1:48 tyre flex?
you can be right but i'm thinking there is tyre flex xDIt looks like the tire just clipped through the track surface for a moment. There was no real change to the shape.
Viewing it again, I might be wrong. But remember that it's not true gameplay footage we see there.
