Update: Less than 30 minutes to go, and 1,661 laps have been logged. There's so many laps that the lap times aren't even registering anymore!:lol::lol::lol::lol:

Results:

1717 laps
2,160,000 credits
34,700 mileage points
3,425.9 miles
16,500 xp

Not bad for afking an endurance since like 5 PM yesterday.

Real Circuit Tours. That's my go to GT League event. It's Amateur League and only 16 cars, but it's so much fun. Just tune suspension and leave everything else stock(detune hp for higher N class cars). Wonderful.

Now, I just got one particular car in my races. The Peugeot L500R VGT

Never had that in any of my races before today. The Honda 2&4 is also permitted. Add the Telsa(which I already knew about) and I'm wondering about other Gr.X cars that could be in future events.

Maybe PD add similar events that grant the P1 and Pagani access.

For some time I have bumped into this Peugeot VGT in other GT League series where I wouldn't expect to, such as the 4WD series. After reading your post I can't help but think it's a recurring mistake. It makes absolutely no sense against road cars in the N categories.

Yeah, I know that it doesn't mean Lotus is coming back, but when I see a GT SPORT screenshot which features any Lotus car, my wish that Lotus comes back becomes stronger...

I hope this is the official hint about license problem already finish :P

because PD likes all kinds of hints (?)

......

BTW, it's a live show at Japan, Sapporo.

FIAGTC, Manufacturer Winners of 1, kawakana222 with be there 👍

...and late start after 25 sec at first race:lol:

Especially, the 2&4. It's not even like the X-BOW. Pure concept car.
The Peugeot at least has the specs and it's a closed in "coupe". Still, it was a bit out there when I was racing. Didn't fit in the group.

It always perplexes me that some people claim that no significant, special or repeatedly for cars have been added to GTS since launch. That is straight up false.

GT Sport has been on a massive uphill battle since launch, everytime numbers are brought up it's easy to make the argument that the competition has more options,GT Sport is being constantly updated but Forza has rain and offline saves,GT added 100+cars but it's still less than Forza and PC2.It's pointless to discuss anything positive about GTS car list and track list.

Well, that's your own observation. Just be thankful that at least PD still offers free DLC for this game until now because the tide will definitely change one day if ever they'll start charging these from the players. In that case, I wouldn't be surpised at all if a lot of people here will stop playing this game once that happens.

PD were charging for DLC in GT6. That game had more customisation for cars and racing.
People will drop off more, due to lack of features, than having to pay for extras.

I don't recall paid DLC in GT6. Only thing I recall is micro transactions in the game. I think you're talking about GT5 and that game had paid DLC there.

I am grateful for the updates we're getting not like those spoiled brats.

Yep, the low number on release will always hang over GT Sport.

Forza, no question.
But you might want to look into PC2.
Probably worth checking how many of the 40 odd DLC cars required actually money to be able to access too.
(I honestly don't know but my assumption is "most".)

Slightly positive?

You're comparing different company's approaches to revenue streams.

PCR2 being a small company needs that money... over here PCR2 is a std. game title and is quite cheap now so they would charge for their 5 x DLC or buy their game pass which seems quite inexpensive.

I have no issue with them.

Now Microsoft have been known to be quite mercenary/mercantile and they have multiple editions, VIP, many many car DLC and car passes. They also used to do expansion packs like that nascar one.

It wasnt unusual for the entire kit to be around USD$100?

PD I feel like are really big time subsidised by Sony and their revenue stream in recent years hasnt been too mercenary.

You buy the game. You got two editions to choose. You can buy MTX cars (under $2 mil.) and that's it.

I cant beleive they're making much money on this, at least not on the level of Forza 7.

I cant comment too much on how it was with GT5 but even then I got the Spec 2.0 update and just played. The game had so much to do I didnt even seem to notice any enticements to spend real money.

With GT6 and GT Sport I've often believed that PD can be a bit more mercenary on the paid DLC and I would pay it gladly.

FOr TUrn10 and Microsoft that level of DLC VIP car pass "Ultimate" 5 day early release gets old real quick.

PD have always seem to ask a small upfront fee for the game and then the content comes steadily and free and its good quality so I'm always grateful to that almost "Japanese" style way of doing business.

Sure they're likely to shut service pretty suddenly but that's the risk you take.

Sure, I have no issue with paid DLC.
People are working (and therefore being paid) so that the developer can offer more content, and in my opinion has every right to attach a price to it.

I was purely posting on the car count comment.
To my knowledge GT is around 260 - 270.
I think PC2 is around 230 - 240.
But unless you have put forward additional money you may have only, say, 200 - 210?
I may stand corrected.

I don't see too much padding in GTs car count.
And it would seem that almost all car models are industry leading, or close to it.
And apart from Forza it possibly has the second highest car count of current gen. games?

Therefore perhaps something positive can be said about GT's car list as it stands now.
That was all I was trying to suggest.

I personally quite like this thing that PD does that they have a Mustang, Mustang GT3, a GT4 and a Group 3 road car.... I less like the Group B rally car.

Many people consider this padding and I guess it is in a way but I like how PD were creative in creating body kits and that sort for that one car.

Yhe Forza way is the 700 cars as people know but at this level its a tad too much?

PD and Turn 10 do it where they slapp in heaps of cars and then dont make series to run them?

eg. Turn 10 has so many Ferraris like the F40 and the F40 EVO and stuff like a normal McLaren F1 AND the F1 GTR and it feels like theu got these great cars but besides custom races there's not a lot of hosted events either single or multi to run them.

At this only like over a year later I truly have no complaints about the GT SPort car count.

Of course we all want Lotus back and there's always a few classic PD cars and newer models we want but at this stage there's more cars than I care to own and more cars than there are events for.

We'll have to wait and see about more events. Other than about 10 cars(Nostalgic Gr.X and the Holy Trinity-minus-1), I feel there are enough events for the rest of the car list.

The game has been out for over a year. I have over 1000hrs in this game and see no prospect of my gaming time slowing up. The base game is outstanding, the handling, the presentation, the features (ie class leading livery creator). And the post launch support has been class leading.

I fully expect the free DLC to continue. We are close to wrapping up this gen and the content can carry over to PS5. But if future content was paid DLC I’d be happy to pay.
