Damn the last race at green hell was so unprofessional lol. They were spinning like crazy every lap. I think the online gameplay is not the best show the game both in gfx and collision. It will never be like SP mode. No damage whatsoever is also a bummer. Hopefully these things and get sorted out before November

Well race modding is pretty much confirmed at this point. There are definitely a few cars that have them.

The question is, will PD try and say that a race mod-able car counts as two cars? Cheeky buggers.

While damage would be nice, I don't see it as a main focus for the GT series. Mechanical penalties online should do for me.

Kinda shocked about whole no beta thing makes me wonder what PD is really doing that made them can it. Besides that it looks amazing pre-ordering the LE tomorrow can't wait might skip the summer games and finish my backlog of racing games until the fall:lol::cheers:

Wait so no beta? I thought Edwards said the beta will be available after the stream.
You are hallucinating.

I haven't had a chance to catch up on all the reveals, but what the heck are these Super Premiums? Why does a game with 137 or so cars even need such terminology?
They're just cars now, super premiums is something we made up.

Gotta say though, the Nurburgring looks a lot like Forza 6's version now, like in terms of lighting and trackside detail. Need a good side by side comparison.

Not impressed... (From someone who started with GT1 through to buying a PS3/rig/car seat/steering wheel just for GT6, then subsequently being totally bummed out)

I thought for quite a while about the "50% complete" statement thrown around... i'm skeptical on that as well, for a game with a release date set this november, just a few months away, to be only 50% complete means either they are super super wayyyy back on their schedules (too busy playing around with real race cars?) or it's just bs pr speak to deflect negative sentiments.

I'm not a game developer but if i was going to release a website or an app in about 5 months after working on it for YEARS and it's only 50% done, i'd be very very worried indeed.

The game shd be almost done by now, with only final tweaks before launch. Don't forget the time needed to produce all the DVDs/boxes and all the marketing material for the launch. Also don't forget the amount of final testing that needs to go in before going gold. There is no way this is only "50% complete".

Livery editor, looks interesting, but the trailer does not show much customisation other than slapping on pre-produced stickers. (in seemingly pre-determined places). I could be wrong of course but that's what i observed in the trailer. No showcase of a do-it-yourself-artwork editor.

A nominal improvement in engine sounds is also not going to cut it. With so many years for PD to get this right after even more years of fans literally begging PD on this issue, engine sounds for GTS should blow ppl away. Not have them say "it's a little better".

It does feel like "more of the same" once again. PD seems to be stuck in their own World doing their own thing. Which might have been OK years ago, but not anymore.

Imo, after all these years and with much more competition than ever, GT needed to show something to set it apart from everyone else. Something special, a spark to reignite the imaginations of all those who have been jaded through the years. But personally, i didn't see it. The trailer showing so many scenes of "photo mode" is also not in any way exciting for me, i don't have that much time to spend fiddling around taking pictures of cars in the virtual world.

I'm sure many many on this board will love GT Sport and will buy it regardless of what anyone says but speaking as a current casual gamer who's still standing on the sidelines and yet to spend $$$ on a PS4, i'm not at all convinced. Forza / Forza Horizon though had me interested.

It only really looks that good in photo mode so far, which both excites me and disappoints me at the same time.

Hype for photo mode, no hype for graphics

He's seems to be already taking advice from Bernie in regards to ruining a once great series...:embarrassed::lol:

You. I've seen your negativity.

This is the general discussion thread, a generally happy and relaxed place for fans of the series to talk.

We made a thread for your lot called the whining and crying thread. Leave your negativity at the door before entering this one.

If there's no tuning parts in the game, I'd say there aren't really Race Mods, at least in the traditional sense. More "LM Edition" cars, if anything.

Pretty sure I've seen a car selection screen that had one of the VGT's listed twice, with two slightly different PP ratings.

There is no requirement for posts to only be positive in this thread. You're not in a position to be telling other members what/where they can and can't post.

It's getting to the point that we're running out of negativity-free zones to just generally chat in, this thread was a decent example of that, but then it all went to crap. I only wish for a thread without trolls and negative people so the people who like the game can post in peace.

Totally agree there is a saying to that (why can't we be friends... Why can't we be friends why can't we be friends:lol:) that song fits nicely atm

Easy there, can't you take a joke? It's called "general discussion", so that leaves room for a wide array of topics and points of view, doesn't it? If being a fan of the series is the requirment to post here, then allow me to show you my beloved Kyosho die-cast that I got with GT5:CE or talk to you about the good old GT1 days when I was a little kid surprised to find that braking helped for corners . If I recall correctly a comment by SlipZ on the "whining" thread, wanting to contain criticism in just one thread says more about the "happy and relaxed" crowd than the "whinning" crowd...

Haven't you thought that, perhaps, the fact we're running out of "negativity-free zones" is because we're running out of patience and tolerance towards the GT franchise? Because GT is running out of people who support it with as much gusto as before? After all, it's a product and not a religious cult so we do have the right to voice our displeasure. Compared to previous games, the reaction to GTS has been lukewarm at most...and it's not like the GT5 days when criticism was basically trolls and people demanding the then-impossible for a game, every criticism I've read today is perfectly reasonable.

It's called a general discussion thread, not the Post-Only-Positive-Things thread.

This isn't a thread for you to decide what can and can't be posted.

Then go ahead create the thread that @Whitetail recommended. Its needed just as much as the whining thread because those comments are one in the same.

What you're looking for is an echo chamber. That you're so quick to group trolls and people that aren't satisfied with what they've seen together says a lot.

People will have differing opinions on every subject in life. If your solution is to keep them separate or censored, well, that's not good, for a whole multitude of reasons.

Actual trouble-makers and trolls aren't tolerated, and never have been. Just today, I've had to ban two members, and hand out infractions to two more.
