It has been noticed by @Sinyster that the new M6 has a 100th anniversary layout and says "The next 100 years" Similar to how GTS announcement trailer said to the next 100 years. Could some sort of collaboration be going on between PD and BMW?

Edit: Also note that the livery of the M6 appears very similar to a 3D mesh, like the ones used in games.

I get the feeling it's just an almighty coincidence, for the various reasons outlined by previous commenters. Will be interesting to see if anything comes of it, though...

Just noticed that the area of mesh around the front wheel arch and wing is blue and red...

I can't help myself but read too much into it... :nervous:

You mean the red and two shades of blue? Those are BMW racing colours.

A post on fb, Sony should read it carefully : "This is showing perfectly the problem of the Gran Turismo series. A videogame managing to win all kind of awards, but nothing videogame related. I would prefer Polyphony to invest less time and effort in stuff like GT academy, Motorsport sponsoring, FIA relationships, car show awards and start focussing on actually building a good game again!"

I like what PD is doing.(GT Academy,FiA partnership,VGT or Car show awards)
If people don´t like GT anymore they can play other racing games like Forza,Pcars,Assetto Corsa etc. instead of complainig all the time.

So today I am rewatching the GT Sport trailer. Well, time changes, people changes (that fast?! Dunno! Lol!) so my thoughts about the video is changed, too.

Here is what I am reading from the trailer by watching it today (you can say me blabbering, its been 1am here but here we go):

- "Over 100 years of motorsports history"
TBH I dont know much about motorsports history between 1900s to 2000s. But seeing those old awesome racing cars--making me aware that motorsports in the past have a great history, and it continues until today. We also have great racer back in history -- I will take Ayrton Senna as example. For current generation I will take Sebastian Vettel as example. For future (next some years)? It could be one of you!

- "Discover again the excitement of motorsports"
Do you guys know about new Ratchet and Clank for PS4? They say it is 're-imagined' -- not 'remake' -- altough some people just seeing it as 'marketing' words for their game.

This part is similar to 're-imagine'. Lets say we are a people, dreaming--and imagining about the future of motorsport. This is depends how you see the 'motorsport' itself at the moment -- again, you should imagine the future of motorsport in your version by yourself as a motorsport fan based on your knowledge.

What I am imagining right now about motorsport? Not a bigger one--I just want to make a history about motorsport -- but nevermind, I am not fast enough in racing games. So I dont think that is possible. haha.

- "FIA & GT Logo"
There is an institution/foundation/establishment (which is FIA and GT franchise) which will accompany you to living the motorsport.

- "7 to 77 - from children to adults anyone can participate"
No matter it is--from young to old -- can enjoy the motorsport world. 7 to 77 is representative of young to old.

- "Support your manufacturer"
You, as motorsport fan, of course has favorite manufacturer, isn't it? What is your favorite manufacturer? Me: Nissan.

- "Represent your country"
Motorsport, or even love -- is not seeing your country or origin. But we as a fan of motorsport...or a people, carries a one of personality label: Country. So, in motorsport world, we will represent from where we are.

- "Drive the future of motorsports for the next 100 years"
Our current and next generation of people still have a long way to go - we can use this time to living in the motorsport world.

I have a conclusion:
"My name is [insert your name]. I am representing [insert your country], and I will continuing my career in motorsport with my favorite manufacturer [insert your favorite manufacturer], along with GT Sport."

It seems Yamauchi-san (or whoever it is) want us to continuing the motorsport world for the next 100 years with our kids inheriting ourselves as a fan of motorsport.

That is a big vision anyway.

Meanwhile...(maybe) someone else's commentary about the trailer:

- Huh? What is this? Oooh, so this is racing in the past. Omg, that ugly car, but they run fast. Lol.
- DAT HELMET REFLECTION! Is this in-game realtime engine or prerendered? I guess it is prerendered. I doubt PS4 can do that.
- Car models looked different than the one in GT6. The graphics is sooo realistic. Again, I hope it is realtime engine.
- [Yound and old using steering wheel scene] Oh yeah of course racing games are better when using a steering wheel. But I want my G27 compatible with PS4! I dont want to throw money again for another wheel.
- Wow, sticker texture in a tire!
- Nurburgring trees are no longer four sided planes with simple texture, right? Is that track laser scanned? I prefer laser one since it is realistic. No, I am not spoiled by Assetto Corsa.
- [Mazda roadster] Wow the interior are so detailed. So is this means they have ps4 version of other premium cars in gt6? I cant wait to see them in ps4.
- [SMS AMG & Electric AMG] What is this? Duplicate cars again? Jeez, PD! Enough with skylines!
- [Veneno] Oh, finally this car is coming to GT. Why dont they put this to GT6? GT6 has lambo. Well whatever, this car is coming to GT.
- What is this gold trophy? Will be there a some sort of tournament/competition hosted on GT sport?
- [Mazda LM55 VGT] Wow is this concept car? Nice. Anyway, take a look at the dunlop sticker. Now PS4 has more memory to put a sticker in a tire, huh? How about they put some dirt texture to the car body after some time of driving? I am sure PS4 can do that.

That's it! Sorry for bad english.

Couple of things to correct:

1. The Mercs are the SLS GT3 and the new AMG GT. They are completely different.

2. The LM55 has had the Dunlop tires in GT6 since Update 1.20

Also, the "gold trophy" signifies the FIA Online Championship that will be hosted in GT Sport.

In the end, it's just a game and PD tends to forget it.

Thanks for the mercedes correction. I remember the new amg gt as electric sls -- I am too much playing driveclub. Plus, I am just writing a joke about spoiled gamers seeing a video game trailer, lol.

Yes it's a game and they working on it.
"GT academy, Motorsport sponsoring, FIA relationships, car show awards" <--- i think all this is good marketing for a video game

"and start focussing on actually building a good game again"
they are still hiring people so they are focussing on the game

It's a discussion board. We come here to discuss games. Not all sides to a discussion are positive. And most of us do play other games thank you very much.

At leas,t we know they know we want more information about GT Sport.

We're certainly in need of a large update but in the meantime I don't get why PD don't follow other developers in using social media to build/keep interest in the product. You don't have to reveal anything new, you just show little things here and there. They've already got 11 cars and 2 tracks to work with without revealing anything new, so why aren't they sharing more images or videos of those? A shot of the R8 powering down Paddock Hill. Some of the other cars inside that showroom place. More shots of the Bugatti. Shots of the interiors.

It just keeps it in the mind, and the gaming press invariably do their job promoting it. "Check out these 5 new GT Sport images".

Instead they just post about GT6 and non-game stuff.

Didn't they hire a community guy recently, or am I thinking of something else?

This. So much this. Why are they so secretive? Why do they have to release media like they do? There's a lot more they could show us, using only a combination of the assets already shown, and it wouldn't spoil anything. Anyway, I'm just glad there's more info on the way soon™.

Each less cheese before going to bed. That way you won't have any more dreams like that.

The difference between the GT5 and GT6 pre-launch hype sure was big.

So were the years before GT5 launch vs the months before GT6 launch.

Maybe PD need approval from Sony?
Could be a reason

Could be a reason

That is indeed a reason, problem for GTSport is it's launching in the same window with 2 PS4 exclusives that will need a big marketing push

TLG for obvious reasons
Horzion because Sony see this as the next Uncharted if Gorilla nail it(by Uncharted I mean a new franchise that will be very successful.
