The trailer bug (the wall of trees which was corrected on the event build) is a good example of the negativity of some. At least they didn't bull shot, huh?
I know what you mean, There were, what, a good 3 seconds of footage within the 3.8 min trailer that looked poor, and "Ohp, well, GTS has the worst graphics ever".

I was not impressed.

The NOS looked too plain. Very plain, not enough bumps, too steril,.... (iracing and AC being the most realistic that you can drive in a game)

GT and Forza aren't the only players in the field.

When I look at AC or PCars, GTS just looks dated on the assets apart from the cars, the car models blew me away for a PS4 game.

Eager to see what the handling acts like.... it needs to step up the game enough to compete with the AC and PCars.

The difference between these games and GTS is the car selection. GT was always more about street cars,...

I still haven't bought a PS4, and thou I complain, GTS might be the reason I buy a PS4.5 (that and Uncharted, duh)

For me the biggest reason for GTS is the cooperation with the FIA.
If you can really aquire a FIA Racing license (need to see what class), that's one hell of a deal... that costs a real lot in RL.

What made me that saddest about the trailer though is the focus on photography. I get the car porn aspect, but I rather take pics of real cars, and not pass my time taking pictures of virtual cars... I want to race, not even mainly campain as I am more into hop laps. But half of the trailer seemed to focus on taking pictures. It's nice but not a selling point for me....

But I have every GT game, so this will join the collection...
but GTS feels old from the trailer compared to the other games out there. The new Forza is nearly there, and Pcars2 is in developement....

Better step up the game PD, and not living of your heritage.

6 months is plenty of time for optimisation. PD must of rushed a bit to get a playable version in time for this event. If you look at their official page you can already see some of their assets.
6 months also goes very quickly. There is pressure on PoDi for sure. But with the new team they will get the core gameplay right. Patches incoming, but that is not news in this generation.

From what I've seen so far from offscreen footage and live-stream race, the game looks bit rough right now. Curious how this game perform on November (I mean, it's release day).

I have question on car selection, will Super GT cars be featured on this game?
They haven't shown the second category cars yet. The ones below P1 and above GT3. Plus it is a GT game. Super GT is likely.

How big is the Naughty Dog team? Something like 400 and they have outsourced. Poly wants to create a AAA game on PS4 with 140 employees and no outsourcing.

The game isn't finish and all the features was not include in this demo event (weather/time change, tire strip, damage etc ...)

It is sad to see people jump into a final conclusion based on what they saw or hear from a streaming live.
It is like saying: "oh my house under construction doesn't have a roof yet ! I'm not gonna buy this ****, it will be rainy all day long..."

Take the positive note, like the graphics, the new features (scapes, livery editor...) and that FIA championship. It's all step in the good direction and it is promising.

As for me I think the photomode is a truly porn for the eyes, the social mode and its companion app sounds good too, the graphics, the cars selection, UI interface, music menu... There's a lot to like.

Gran Tursimo is not only about hardcore racing experience, it's about automobile passion, and you can feel this passion on every GT. This is why Gran Turismo is Gran Turismo.

when there is news and legit game footage, we still have complaints.
You mean, the fan base is obligated to start singing the praises of PD by virtue of the fact that they produced footage and nothing else?

Here's the deal. People have expectations. If PD fails to meet those expectations (which they frankly have done for the last little while), then people will complain. Shocker, I know.

By the way, people won't understand how Forza has 400 (500?) cars and 3 games on next gen while gtsport will only have 140 cars.
One of the big reasons is that Polyphony make all their models in-house, while Forza outsources their modelling work to others. Second reason is probably that they remade all the models for this game, and haven't carried over any previous work from GT6. (I'm not defending that decision because personally I'm not ecstatic about it myself but w/e). Final reason is that while Forza 5 came out we were still on PS3 with GT6 and PD were making content for it.

I wish the best to Poly because no other racing game has this passion IMO but I have big doubts for a November release with a polished game.
I'm hyped for the game, definitely, but I think it wasn't what a LOT of fans were expecting. Personally, this is close to what I felt was going to be shown to us. A more e-sport, online focused game that was lighter on content (at least at first) but more involving to play and more consistent, i.e. no more "Time and Weather change only on 7 tracks" scenario. I would liek to think of this more as an early access type deal, like how Assetto and DIRT Rally have been released. Steady streams of content, keeping the game fresh, online being a major part of the experience, offline being there for those who don't want that or can't have that. No doubt it will be polished, from a design standpoint, but it won't be polished as in complete. No games ever are nowadays.

Your words!:bowdown::cheers:

Some people here claim that the sounds suck. What I heard in the live stream was a awesome sounding Mazda MX-5, A beautiful Audi V10, BMW V8, Ferrari V8 and even the Peugeot LMP1 had a realistic sound and the most awesome stuff was the up- and downshifts, we finally got sounds for it and they sound awesome. Also I realized that finally in GT the gear changes are no more instant, but you can see how the RPM first drops before a new gear is engaged, unlike it was in GT5, GT6 etc. Just the tire sounds that I find still annoying, but let us hope they fix that in the next 5 months and I will be very happy.

They said The game %50 percent completed but it looks %30 percent completion.
Exactly!
But if they have all models done, all tracks scanned, they have 6 month to polish and optimize game. That will be ideal situation. Also like almost every game out now it will be "ready" months after release via patches.

Even in these modern days the business culture of the east is way different compared to west. It's quite closed doors culture, although Poly has started to open a bit.
And I'm sure, Poly will create an AAA game again after AAA- (GT6).

Does 'super premium' cars in GTSport mean that there will be non-super premium (only premium) cars in GT7 ? ... If all the cars in GT7 will get the full update treatment then why do you need to categorize the cars in GTSport as 'super premium'. They already said that the cars were re-done from scratch with full interiors. That should be enough. But to say these cars are 'super premium' make me wonder.
Super Premium? Did you see those wheel arches?

So... you went ahead to quote my post, just to make explicit what is already obvious?

I don't think so. IMO You implied that it's possible to fulfill the expectations of everyone wich it isn't since there are different people with different expectations and some people will always be disappointed no matter how good the games/trailers/infos are.

No big deal.
