That's why I've expected that GTS will look like Driveclub but more realistic and 60fps:

- Driveclub runs at flawless 30fps in all conditions so it most likely runs at 35-50fps if frame-rate was uncapped.
- Easily drop all post-fx (motion blur, sharpen, DOF, color-correction etc.), except for replays (which will run at 30fps anyway)
- For GTS there no need to render environments at such ridiculous levels as DC so less/simpler trees, especially grass etc is huge bandwidth and fps saver.
- GTS can drop volumetric clouds and use high-quality 2D clouds instead. (faster)
- Can even drop wind system, if it's not affecting aerodynamics anyway.
- Physics and AI runs on CPU, so there no direct correlation between those and graphics. Maybe even GPGPU can help if needed.
- Implement a dynamic resolution for Gods sake. Will be used only in extreme situations, for short-period of time and looks better than aggressive LOD's. Or drop AA dynamically.
- You probably can make DC looks real if some parameters and texture were more accurate (color temperature values for example)
- PD is not restricted by $ and time. At least they have huge freedom.
- PD are known tech-wizards for a long time, after GT3 and GT5P I honestly expecting same huge WOW factor.

I liked the behavior of the car offtrack here:

For a game that's FIA sanctioned or whatever, I don't think the real world of motorsports would allow the R8 to pull back out in front the SLS like that. Then again, it almost looks unrealistic just how fast it suddenly stops from hitting the wall, but my eyes may be playing tricks.

Welcome Izuna! No doubt some don't like the aesthetic, however, others may have other motives. What's your impression of GTS after watching the reveal?

Thanks for the welcome guys

From what I've seen, the game seems to missing a lot of what makes it GT. Even if 5/6 wasn't the greatest in the series, they caught our attention with dynamic weather, time of day, a museum of cars for us to play with, noticeable changes to physics. But I'm glad they've scraped standard cars and appreciate the slight improvements to sound (excpet for tyre squeal *shudders*). I just feel PD is stuck in their ways while other developers understand how to improve their games at a faster rate. Visually I think it looks great and I'm cautiously optimistic to see future builds.

The thing is that a game is a (smart word here) compilation of parts, since its VIP lots of them are still not done and can be upgraded in the future. At least I will believe this untill 16.11

Yep, that aligns perfectly with my thoughts and many GT fans. Oh, and by the way, you've come to the right place. It's a great community here and from what happened at the reveal it would apper that the site is going to have even more involvement in the game going forward.

Totally agree, the problem is, it didn't have the best first impressions especially for a big title, but I hope we have a DriveClub situation (remember the first gameplay footage and how it got slated for not looking like the reveal trailer) and get rid of most of our doubts.

Ending the DC story on my side I didn't like two things, one was a "grainy" filter always on, and second weirdly muffled sounds. But hey it's just me.

Oh my god and i thought i was the only one not liking those wierd sounds..isn´t there a way to fix it in some settings?

I'll add the unsual handling.

Unpredictable would be my choice of words, you simply don´t know what to expect from your car in every corner.

It's not like a spinning top situation can't happen in real life...

Watchinge every race from the start of blancpain championship> Continental GT3 was the only car I drove in pCars (until the nerf). If GTS would be only GT3 I would still be happy with that I love GT3 cars!

Too many pages to sift through. One thing I've picked up is the cries of no Dynamic Time. Where was this stated?

Dynamic light system?

A: "This time we won't have dynamic transitions. The graphics quality and dynamic transitions aren't in "conflict" this time. We had dynamic transitions in GT5 and GT6 and that had good and bad points. The game will have several weather conditions and light conditions, but those will be announced at a later date. But during gameplay conditions will not change."

Looks a little odd how that Audi got only a slight tap from on the right rear quarter panel and instead of spinning, somehow goes flying off the track. Or at least that how it looks.

Really?
