That's a trailer...

The scapes looks amazing, really! I don't understand how some people can talk that Scapes won't be beter than the Photo Mode.
The shots made by the new tool looks so life like!!
As a photographer I can easily say they won't be because you can't move the camera around in the scape. It's essentially on a fixed axis basically meaning all we can do is move the camera up and down or move the lens left and right but can't actually move the cameras position. This'll lead to photos that basically look like they were positioned by someone who just wanted to quickly snap a photo of a car on the street or, in this case, very basic photos used in press releases for cars. No doubt the scapes are beautiful but without the creative freedom and variety I don't see it clicking well with the photo community present in GT

From a personal interest standpoint I'm happy to see some GTP alumni in the trailer and really happy for @Tom as well. I think he's a perfect fit for GT Sport and e-sports. I'm sure he'll get even better as time goes on. Here's to hoping he gets to be the official play by play man:cheers:

When he first could be heard, I grinned. Really awesome to see, as someone who only fairly recently started noticing @Tom's work (hey, I don't play competitively, I just write! ). eSports need more people like him to make them watchable to Joe Public, IMO.

A perfect example: look at how little the current Photo Travel locations get used over in the GTP Photomode section. They feel so limiting for photographers, and that'll be even more true if we can't even move the camera in the Scapes. Certainly the 1000+ locations help, but it means images are going to feel very similar very quickly.

I'm curious, how long do you think it'll be until there's been at least one photo taken in every location? 1000+ still blows my mind, even if you can't move the camera properly.

Random thought: Someone needs to plop the Mazda LM55 VGT in a car park somewhere in Scapes, just to see how out of place it'd look.

Once we get our hands on GT Sport, we'll be able to tell if it has been reduced or not. I'd like to think that it will. On a side note, I'd like to know why they chose to go for that particular effect. I'm sure there's good reasons for it.

The effect can be incredibly obvious in GT6 and since becoming accustomed to PS4 quality graphics it is quite distracting. Nurburgring Nordschleife looks damn good in the E3 trailer though.
Ah, so it is in GT6 afterall. I haven't played Gran Turismo in a while so maybe that's why I couldn't remember.
(It might be hard to notice but if you zoom in you can see the lines.)

Oh my god, that needs to happen. How about this:

McLaren 650S GT3 ready for pickup from the Bugatti factory. Keys left in car. What's that? You can't open the door? Get a hammer, that'll do the trick.

Yup, there it is. I don't recall seeing it in GT5, but then again, GT6 was the game where I started taking it a lot more seriously, and since I've got way more playtime on GT6, you tend to notice these little things after a while.

Spot on Slip! Honestly when I saw the scapes section in the trailer I kinda figured that there would be some kind of catch simply for the reason you mentioned. When GT6 came out I was severely disappointed in the Photo travel site selection mostly because IMO the locations weren't really interesting and it seems others weren't as well as I often see more track photos then anything. The city of arts and sciences is pretty cool with the open space and such, Syracuse and Ronda were meh and Gemsolar easily sank to the bottom as the worst for me.

Location is just as important as important as the car itself sometimes even more so. When I take pictures in GT, and real life, I often ask myself "If this car wasn't here would this picture still look interesting?" and often with the photo sites I find myself saying no. Now I find myself feeling like I'll be saying no even more since "...you can’t really move the camera.”(As spoken by Kaz himself) I can only hope it changes in the future but as of right now I can only hope A) The graphics are polished and B) Either tracks with character are included in the game or Current tracks gain added character (Ie. Like nurb with its patchy grass near Kurds and Graffiti along the road) As I don't see myself using scapes for anything but to look at pretty nature andarchitectural scenes.

So there's a Ford Mustang Gr 3 car. Darn it, I was really hoping PD would use the Ford GT. I mean, I think it looks cool, but I really think the Ford GT would have been a better car for that class. Oh well, that's why I have Forza 6.

T10 have a partnership with Ford Performance which likely has timed exclusivity for their cars. Assuming that is the case the period of exclusivity could last a year.

This is guesswork.

Oh, right; I forgot about that. If that's the case, then there's no way Polyphony could get a license to model the new Ford GT, probably even if they made a fictional Gr. 3 race car out of one even.

I couldn't find one with Jeremy banging a car's exterior, but this is good enough.
:D

Haha! Gotta love TG with the trio. Could you imagine if Clarkson raced in one of those open lobbies with dirty drivers?

Also, best we get back on-topic now đź‘Ť
