Edit: In the build I played the track can not in anyway be seen as gorgeous, the lighting is great in the game but the backgrounds in this track aren't good at all.

Ah, you're talking about modeling of buildings and not graphics.

But watching the direct feed video, I find PoDi has very well modeled them. After buildings are ugly ? Yes, as in real life, just see the photos posted by Samus. In any case, review on this track is different from Spanish media, which they have enjoyed a lot.

I look forward to be at Gamescom to make my own opinion :) !

We already have that! it's called Special Stage Route 5...

:D
But yeah, they should have both day and night time for that track.

I can't wait to see how their new lighting engine handles this track at night... :D

I have nothing against a circuit based on Tokyo Expressway as long as it is properly built to fit racing scenario. Clubman and Special Stage Routes from earlier GT games were also based on Tokyo highways, but because they were properly built, you could hardly associate them with illegal street racing.

The one in GTS is a bit dull and unrealistic, almost as designers didn't have enough inspiration to place all those safety objects and alternative routes for officials that must have an access to the track.

Wall-riding could be stopped by modeling walls to slow down the car significantly upon interacting with the wall. I don't think it will ever happen though, "7 to 77" and stuff.

The track itself I see as a time trial one, can't see any race not ending in a crash fest. There is a very enjoyable section though (a 3 turn combination)that is very challenging. Rest of it is average.

@Zlork can't really comment on the modeling, they looked ok-ish (wall textures and tunnels were pretty good) but the building looked so bland.

I really hope someday Macau Guia track will be in GT, GTS or the next GT afterwards. I want more city tracks :) Oh, Long Beach, this was awesome back in F355 Challenge, still play it from time to time, one of my favorite for racing, easy win there.

Ah, F355

That game made me an expert at Suzuka :)

Do you look like the building is bland? Major buildings of Japan is like that.
Maybe Japan buildings Will there is a gorgeous image, but they gathered near to the train station. A little away is that such a landscape.

That game made me an expert at Suzuka :)

I got 2:19s at Suzuka with no assist, custom real life setup ( real baseline F355 Challenge alignment with little tweaks ), amazing how such an old game got the physics right ( camber, toe in mm, LSD lock %, aero wing angle, ride height in mm ) and drives well on pad/analog stick.

I read from Yu Suzuki interview that the F355 Challenge Deluxe Cabinet gets an honor being displayed at Ferrari Museum, that's really cool for arcade game cabinet :)

That's awesome man, and yeah, I remember it feeling really 'sim-like' at the time!

Amazing how much fun you can have with a single car.

Have you managed a 2nd go at GTS mate? Or was it just the one time?

How do you guys think it will look during an hour of sunset? Me think of this. :D

In GT3, the reverse versions of Grand Valley and Deep Forest took place during sunset.

I wish PD continued that trend in future games. It would be a nice way to give tracks that don't have a full day and night cycle a different change in scenery. I miss GT3's Laguna Seca at sunset as well.

Anyway you do have to wonder what their track revealing plans are, still we're not seeing anything else. We've seen Brands and the ring since last October, three more were shown at the May launch (Plus the dirt track only in screenshots) and now we're almost in August and still the same five. There are another 13 left to show, 14 if you include footage-wise the dirt track.
