I don't think it's wrong. I think people like to hold onto this romantic vision of the best/most skilled drivers will "deal" with lapping people better. Reality is teams and sister teams, plus individual drivers can/will/do use being lapped as a way of deliberately slowing down whoever they need to. I'd like blue flags to mean get out of the way on GTS. People being lapped online can ruin a race very easily if they start getting involved with the leaders, especially if it's close
Sorry I forgot to quote @Tired Tyres

Dat suspension movement

Nice...but i find these suspension physics and car behaviour a bit more realistic :

But those of GTS are a good improvement from those seen in GT6

Interesting thing that you are pointing. But this people will risk their safety rating (dont know how GTS is gonna call it :P) to the benefit of the team? Also, knowing that this is an unfair tactic, PD could ban people who practice it.

I think the best solution would be Driveclub´s way. When you are gonna lap another car, it get transparent. That way he cant ruin your race. Maybe it affects realism, but lets be honest, this game is far for being realistic (unrealistic balance of perfomance, VGT, not pure sim phisics); that said, being less simulator doesnt have to make it worse game at all. To ad that, this game is gonna recieve tons of casual gamers. To ask absolutely all the people to behave very similar to the real drivers, is at least madness. Achieving a clean driving online mode is already an utopy on consoles.

Looks very convincing indeed 👍 I'll wait to make comparisons till we get the ability to create such awesome compilations in GTS though.

Shame the graphics aren't quite there with AC but they are not a problem really. Could be better but it's ok.

Very exited to have 2 such beatifull games like GTS and AC this year.
For wich is more realistic we have to wait and have more material for make comparsions.

Is very very unlikely (for me, almost impossible) to GTS to have the same quality of physics as Assetto. Assetto has same physics in PS4 and PC, as many people that had a go on the game reporte it (Kunos says it too). And Assetto is well known for being one of the best (if not the best) simulation experience.

GTS cant have that rough simulation aproach. Is a game meant to be selled to many people. Also, the people who played GTS said, in the first builds, it was very similar to GT6. And in the last builds, they say there is improvement but no one is saying "watch out, this is a pure simulator".

Also, to loose a simcade like GT is a bad thing. It doesnt have to be a simulator to be a good game.

Driver ratings are averages over time. One incident here or there isn't going to make much difference so I don't think anyone that would engage in a blocking type of maneuvre on a lapped driver is going to care much about their driver rating. If the higher level FIA races are moderated I can see obeying blue flags being mandatory. Other than that I suspect we will be left to our own devices.

There are 2 ratings, just like in IRacing: sportsmanship (safety rating) and driver class (i rating).

If you play rough, you will be playing with rough people.

Surprised nobody posted this yet, German tuning channel JP Performance is currently doing a daily video series about this last year's GT Academy in Abu Dhabi and it gets decent views. Jean Pierre is one of the German Academy coaches from past years. I'm not sure if it's GTA Europe or just Germany this year. The videos are mostly him goofing around and talking about the area, cars and the competition, but there's some cool cinematic behind the scenes bits of the actual challenges in-between if you don't speak German (he keeps switching to English in today's video above). Interestingly in the first and second part they mentioned and showed a PS4 in the hotel room but didn't show any playing.

I don't know inside sim racing said that the physics are going more to simulation side, we will see

You are refering to John Sabol´s review? He said:

"In fact, the physics remind me quite a bit of Assetto Corsa´s physics on a Playstation 4 wich I just driven the day before."

"Quite a bit" is far from meaning that the game will be on the simulation side.

But yes, we will see.

You will, but we were talking about the specific and likely extremely rare incidence of being lapped. If you have dozens or hundreds of races under your belt, one or two incidents that occur while being lapped will have no effect on your driver rating which is why the driver rating will not influence a person's behaviour while being lapped. Especially so that contact with another driver is only 1 of 10 things that affect your rating.

It's most likely video material from last year, since German GT Academy hasn't even started yet.

Also at 18.25 he says physics feel sim like

You're right, corrected the post. I was unsure because I stopped playing GT6 a while ago and never really kept up with Academy news, figured I must've missed it. Bit misleading they post it now without any explanation but next time I'll double check.

Well, yes, its gonna be sim like. PCars is sim like too. But from there to have the same physics as Assetto or to be in the pure simulation realm, there is a long long way.

I think it is going to be close to PCars. But no way close to the pure simulators.

Well, if the system is well done, you will be punished. If you do that tactic you will be breaking two rules: pushing another driver and not respecting flags (if there are blue flags).
